A Hamptons party bus is usually booked for one of three things: a summer birthday or bachelorette weekend at a rented house, a vineyard or brewery afternoon, or moving a wedding party and its guests between venues. On Elly8.net, party buses are priced in the web booker for your exact date, addresses and hours. The fixed-price alternative on the East End price list is a 12-seat Executive Sprinter at US$220 an hour with a 3-hour minimum, or US$1,100 for the evening out and event night package, per vehicle and all-in.
The East End adds its own complications: narrow village streets, long distances between Westhampton and Montauk, one main road in summer traffic, and houses down private lanes. Booking without surprises means choosing a vehicle that fits both the group and the roads, counting the hours honestly, and checking the operator against New York's rules.
How much does a party bus cost in the Hamptons?
On Elly8.net, a Hamptons party bus is quoted in the web booker for your date, route and hours, with taxes and standard gratuity included. The fixed-price benchmark is a 12-seat Executive Sprinter at US$220 an hour (3-hour minimum, so from US$660), or US$1,100 on the evening out and event night package.
Party bus prices vary more than any other class because the vehicles vary and because summer Saturdays out east are in demand. The booker shows one all-in number per vehicle before you pay; tolls and parking are billed at cost. If you want the cost settled from the first click, the Sprinter on the Hamptons price list is the vehicle to compare against.

Sizes: match the vehicle to the group and to the roads
Start with the real head count, then think about where the vehicle has to go. A long house driveway in Sagaponack or a narrow lane in Amagansett suits a Sprinter or SUV better than a large coach.
| Group | Vehicle | Seats | How it is priced | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 to 3 | First Class Sedan | up to 3 | Hamptons price list | Anniversary dinners, a couple's evening |
| 4 to 6 | Business SUV or First Class SUV | up to 6 | Hamptons price list, from US$140 an hour | Small birthdays, a dinner and a club |
| 7 to 8 | Stretch Limousine | up to 8 | Web booker | The classic limo look for photos |
| 9 to 12 | Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | Hamptons price list, US$220 an hour | Vineyard days, concerts, house parties |
| 9 to 12 | Party Bus | up to 12 on our fleet page | Web booker | Birthdays and bachelorette nights |
| 13 to 16 | Stretch SUV Limousine | up to 16 | Web booker | Bigger celebrations |
| 17 and up | Two vehicles, or a larger bus on request | varies | Web booker and desk | Wedding guests, large house parties |
The fleet page lists seats and bags for each class. Larger buses may be available for some dates, and the desk will tell you what partners can supply for your date rather than promise a size we cannot confirm.
Party bus or Sprinter? A party bus has perimeter seating, lighting and a sound system: the vehicle is part of the night. An Executive Sprinter has forward-facing seats, a high roof and a calmer cabin, and its price is fixed on the published list. For a vineyard afternoon, where the vehicle is mainly the way between tasting rooms, many groups prefer the Sprinter. The party bus rental and Sprinter van with driver pages compare them.
One vehicle or two? For 10 to 12 people who may split up, two SUVs give flexibility a single bus cannot: half the group can head back to the house at midnight while the rest stay in Montauk.
Hours: the East End is longer than it looks
The most common mistake is booking the minimum and running over. Distances on the South Fork are real: East Hampton to Montauk is about 14 miles (22 km), roughly 23 minutes on a clear road, and Southampton to East Hampton about 13 miles (21 km), close to half an hour, before summer traffic. Build the night backwards:
- Pickups. Guests staying at two or three houses can take most of the first hour.
- Dinner. Two hours at the table is two hours of the vehicle waiting outside, and waiting is part of the booking.
- The main event. A club night in Montauk, a benefit or a concert runs three hours or more with arrivals and departures.
- Drop-offs. Twelve people to three houses at 1 am takes longer than anyone expects.
If the group is staying in Montauk and dining in Southampton, the drive alone is close to an hour each way on a clear road, so a four-hour booking can disappear before dessert. Keep the evening in one or two villages, or book the evening package so the price stays fixed however long dinner runs.
On the fixed list, the Executive Sprinter is US$660 for three hours, US$880 for four, US$1,100 for five and US$1,320 for six at the hourly rate. The evening out and event night package is US$1,100 in a Sprinter, US$700 in a Business SUV and US$550 in a Business Sedan, covering the ride there, the wait and the ride home. For a full day of vineyards and beach, the full-day chauffeur is US$1,620 in a Sprinter and US$1,035 in a Business SUV.
| Plan | Executive Sprinter | Arithmetic per person, 12 guests | Business SUV | Arithmetic per person, 6 guests |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 hours by the hour | US$660 | US$55 | US$420 | US$70 |
| 4 hours by the hour | US$880 | about US$73 | US$560 | about US$93 |
| Evening out package | US$1,100 | about US$92 | US$700 | about US$117 |
| Full day | US$1,620 | US$135 | US$1,035 | about US$173 |
Elly8.net prices are per vehicle, never per person; the per-person column is arithmetic for comparison only, so the group can see what each share would be.
Three classic Hamptons group days
The vineyard afternoon. The South Fork has tasting rooms such as Wölffer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack, and the North Fork has many more. Plan two or three stops, not five, and check each tasting room's group policy before you go. A Sprinter for four to five hours, or the wine tours by chauffeured car format, keeps everyone together and nobody driving.
The birthday or bachelorette night. Dinner in Southampton or East Hampton, then Montauk. This is where a party bus or Sprinter on the evening package earns its price: one pickup at the house, one vehicle waiting outside, one ride home. Our event transportation page explains how evening timings are handled.
The wedding weekend. Welcome drinks on Friday, the ceremony and reception on Saturday, a brunch on Sunday. Couples usually book a First Class car for themselves and a Sprinter or two looping guests between the hotel or houses and the venue. See wedding limousine and guest shuttles for how the loops are scheduled. During Hampton Classic week, which the Hampton Classic lists for August 29 to September 5, 2027, allow extra time around Bridgehampton.
Safety checks for party buses and limos in New York
New York has specific rules for large passenger vehicles, and a reputable booking should pass them easily.
- Stretch limousine age and mileage. NYSDOT's stretch and modified vehicle policy states that it is unlawful to operate a stretch limousine registered in New York that is more than ten years old from its completed manufacture date, or has more than 350,000 miles on the odometer, whichever comes first.
- NYSDOT inspection and authority. The same policy says for-hire stretched or modified vehicles with more than 8 seats including the driver need a NYSDOT inspection, and those with more than 10 generally need NYSDOT operating authority, unless an exemption applies.
- Inspection record. NYSDOT publishes bus operator profiles with inspection and out-of-service rates through its BUSNET system.
- Federal registration. Operators running interstate or larger vehicles carry a USDOT number, which you can look up on the FMCSA's SAFER system.
Elly8.net's partner vehicles must be four model years old or newer (seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley), and partners are licensed and commercially insured. The checks above are still worth knowing, because they are the questions any group should be able to ask.
Questions to ask before you sign
- Is the price per vehicle and all-in? Ours is: chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity. Tolls and parking are billed at cost.
- How are the hours counted? Ask before you pay. Hourly bookings on our list have a 3-hour minimum, and the hours you book are shown on the confirmation.
- What happens if we run late? Extra time beyond the booked hours is billed at the hourly rate. Agree the plan for the last drop-off before the night starts.
- Can the vehicle reach every address? Give the desk every house address. Narrow lanes may mean a meeting point at the end of the drive.
- What are the rules on drinks? The chauffeur follows New York law on passengers and alcohol; ask before assuming anything is allowed.
- What is the cancellation policy? Ours: free more than 72 hours before pickup, 10% within 72 hours, 50% within 48 hours, the full fare within 24 hours or for a no-show. Refunds go to the original card.
If guests are arriving by air, our guide to Hamptons airport shuttles vs a private car covers JFK, ISP and East Hampton Airport, and the NYC to the Hamptons guide covers the drive from Manhattan. A group coming from Westchester can see our Westchester party bus guide for that side of the trip.

Frequently asked questions
How many people fit in a Hamptons party bus?
Our fleet page lists the party bus class at up to 12 passengers, the Executive Sprinter at up to 12 and the Stretch SUV Limousine at up to 16. Larger buses may be available from partners for some dates; the desk confirms what can be supplied before you pay. For 17 or more, two vehicles are usually more practical.
Is a party bus cheaper per person than taxis?
Often, for a full group and a long night, because one vehicle price covers everyone and it waits between stops. A 12-seat Sprinter at US$660 for three hours works out at US$55 each as arithmetic. Village taxis are fine for two people going a short distance, but on a summer Saturday night they are hard to find.
How far ahead should we book for a summer weekend?
As early as you can. Summer Saturdays, holiday weekends and Hampton Classic week fill first, and Sprinters and party buses are the first classes to go. The published prices do not rise on busy weekends; availability is the constraint, not price.
Can we drink on the party bus?
The chauffeur follows New York law on passengers and alcohol, and rules can differ by vehicle type. Ask the desk before the booking rather than assuming. Many groups plan the drinks at the house, the restaurant or the tasting room, with the vehicle as the safe ride between.
Can you combine a party bus with airport pickups for guests?
Yes. One reservation can include airport arrivals at JFK, MacArthur or East Hampton Airport on Friday, the party vehicle on Saturday and departures on Sunday. Airport fares are fixed in either direction, from US$140 for HTO to East Hampton in a Business Sedan.
What does the chauffeur do while we are inside?
Waits with the vehicle nearby, ready for the next stop. On hourly and evening bookings, waiting is part of the time you have booked. If the plan changes during the night, call or message the desk and the route is adjusted.
