Most San Antonio party bus bookings go wrong in one of three places: the group outgrows the vehicle, the night runs longer than the hours booked, or the quote leaves out the gratuity and taxes until the end. All three are avoidable if you settle the head count, sketch the night hour by hour and insist on a per-vehicle, all-in price before anyone pays a deposit.
For groups of up to 12, the Executive Sprinter is the fixed-price option on Elly8.net's San Antonio list: US$190 an hour with a 3-hour minimum, or US$950 for a 5-hour Evening out & event night, including the chauffeur, taxes and a standard gratuity. Party buses with perimeter seating and stretch SUV limousines are quoted for your date in the web booker. Here is how to choose, how long to book and what to ask.
What size party bus do you need in San Antonio?
Match the vehicle to the final head count, not the hopeful one. A business SUV seats up to 6, an Executive Sprinter or a party bus up to 12, a stretch limousine up to 8 and a stretch SUV limousine up to 16. For 13 to 24 people, two vehicles under one booking usually beat one large bus.
Those seat counts come from the Elly8.net fleet page, and every guest needs a real seat with a belt. A group that is "about ten" in the first week of planning is often fourteen by the last week, so if the list is near a vehicle's limit, size up or add a second car now rather than on the night.
| Group | Vehicle | Seats | Price basis | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 6 | Business SUV | 6, room for 6 bags | US$120 an hour, 3-hour minimum, or US$600 for a 5-hour evening | Dinner and a show for a small group |
| 7 to 12 | Executive Sprinter | 12, forward-facing | US$190 an hour, or US$950 for a 5-hour evening | Concerts, birthdays, winery days |
| 7 to 12 | Party bus | 12, perimeter seating | quoted in the web booker | The bus as the party: bachelorettes, big birthdays |
| Up to 8 | Stretch limousine | 8 | quoted in the web booker | Classic photos for a quinceañera or prom group |
| Up to 16 | Stretch SUV limousine | 16 | quoted in the web booker | One big arrival for a larger group |
| 13 to 24 | Two Sprinters, or a Sprinter and an SUV | 18 to 24 | fixed per vehicle | Groups that may split up later in the night |
Party bus or Sprinter: which one suits the night?
The difference is where the party happens. A party bus is a room on wheels, with side seating, lighting and sound, and it suits a night where the ride itself is part of the fun. An Executive Sprinter is a comfortable, quiet way to move a group between places that are the fun: dinner, a show, a brewery, a winery.
San Antonio nights lean towards the Sprinter more often than people expect. Distances inside the city are short, so a party bus spends much of its booked time parked. A Hill Country day, on the other hand, is mostly highway, and forward-facing seats with belts are far more comfortable for an hour each way than perimeter benches. Our party bus rental and Sprinter van with driver pages set out the trade-offs in more detail.

How many hours to book: five San Antonio nights, sketched
Start the clock at the first pickup and stop it at the last drop-off. That single rule fixes most overtime surprises.
A River Walk birthday dinner (3 to 4 hours). Collect the group from two or three homes, drop at the hotel's street entrance for a river-level dinner, and bring everyone home. Many River Walk hotels have a street door and a river door; the vehicle uses the street, so agree the exact entrance beforehand. The San Antonio River Walk site has maps that help.
Dinner and live music at the Pearl (4 to 5 hours). The Pearl district at the north end of the river has chef-led restaurants and music venues including Stable Hall. A 5-hour Evening out & event night covers pickups, dinner, a set and the drive home.
An Alamodome concert or a Spurs game (5 hours). Arrive before doors, enjoy the show, and allow for the slow exit. The Alamodome lists concerts, football and championships, including the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship on December 17 to 20, 2026, and the Spurs play at the Frost Bank Center. The chauffeur follows each venue's pickup arrangements, so agree a meeting point before you go in.
A Hill Country winery day (8 hours). The Texas Hill Country day trip is an 8-hour package from US$700 in a business sedan to US$1,400 in an Executive Sprinter. Tasting happens at the wineries; the vehicle is the ride between them, and the chauffeur follows Texas rules on alcohol. Our wine tours page explains how these days are planned.
A Fiesta night (5 hours or more). Fiesta San Antonio runs April 15 to 25, 2027, and parade routes close downtown streets for hours. Book by the hour, plan drop-off and pickup corners around the closures with the chauffeur in advance, and expect walking between the car and the party.
What it really costs, per vehicle and per person
Elly8.net prices are per vehicle. Dividing by the group is useful for collecting money from friends, but treat the per-person column as arithmetic for comparison only.
| Plan | Vehicle | Total price | Arithmetic, per person for a full group |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3-hour minimum | Executive Sprinter, 12 guests | US$570 | about US$48 |
| 5-hour Evening out & event night | Executive Sprinter, 12 guests | US$950 | about US$79 |
| 5-hour Evening out & event night | Business SUV, 6 guests | US$600 | US$100 |
| 8-hour Hill Country day trip | Executive Sprinter, 12 guests | US$1,400 | about US$117 |
| 4-hour private city highlights tour | Executive Sprinter, 12 guests | US$760 | about US$63 |
| 5-hour evening, two vehicles | Two Executive Sprinters, 24 guests | US$1,900 | about US$79 |
Every total includes the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes and a standard gratuity. Parking and tolls, if any, are billed at cost, as is time beyond the booked hours. When you compare a party bus quote with these figures, check whether the other number includes gratuity, fuel and taxes; a lower headline rate can end up higher at the end of the night.
If your group is coming in from out of town, add the airport leg: SAT to the River Walk is US$390 in an Executive Sprinter and US$195 in a business SUV, per vehicle, the same price in either direction.
A planning timeline that avoids surprises
Eight to ten weeks out. Fix the date and the shape of the night. Spring Saturdays, Fiesta and big concert weekends book early, and party buses and stretch limousines are the first vehicles to go. Free cancellation more than 72 hours before pickup means an early reservation costs nothing if plans change well ahead.
Four weeks out. Confirm the head count. If it has grown past the vehicle's seats, change the vehicle or add a second one now.
One week out. Send the desk a written itinerary: every pickup with a time and street address, every stop, the venue and its pickup rules, and the final drop-off. Name one organiser as the contact for the chauffeur, and make sure that person has the confirmation email.
On the day. Be ready at the first pickup at the booked time. If the plan changes, the organiser tells the chauffeur or the 24/7 desk, and any extra time is added by the hour.
House rules, safety and alcohol
- A seat and a belt for everyone. TxDOT reminds Texans that state law requires drivers and passengers to buckle up.
- Seated while moving. The chauffeur decides when it is safe to stop and when guests get on and off.
- Alcohol. Rules depend on the vehicle and the operator's licence, and nobody under 21 may drink. The chauffeur follows local rules; do not plan the night around drinking in the vehicle.
- Teen events. For quinceañeras, proms and graduations, give the desk a parent's contact and the exact drop-off times. Our prom limousine page covers the extra steps parents usually want.
- Damage and cleaning. Charges beyond normal use may be billed at cost by the operator, so agree expectations with the group beforehand.
Seven questions to ask before you sign anything
- How many seats, with belts, does this exact vehicle have?
- Is the price per vehicle, and does it include taxes and gratuity?
- What is the minimum, and when does the clock start and stop?
- How are parking, tolls and extra time charged?
- How old is the vehicle?
- Is the operator licensed and commercially insured?
- What are the cancellation terms, in writing?
Elly8.net answers those on the confirmation: per-vehicle, all-in prices; tolls and parking at cost; partner vehicles four model years old or newer; and a fixed cancellation policy of free more than 72 hours before pickup, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show, refunded to the original card. Rides in San Antonio are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a party bus cost in San Antonio?
Party buses are quoted for your date, hours and addresses in the web booker. The fixed-price alternative for up to 12 guests is the Executive Sprinter at US$190 an hour with a 3-hour minimum, or US$950 for a 5-hour Evening out & event night, per vehicle, including the chauffeur, taxes and a standard gratuity.
How many hours should we book?
Count from the first pickup to the last drop-off. A River Walk dinner fits in 3 to 4 hours, a concert or game night usually needs 5, and a Hill Country winery day is an 8-hour package. Booking the realistic number of hours up front is cheaper and calmer than extending on the night.
Can we drink on the party bus?
Rules on alcohol depend on the vehicle type and the operator's licence, and nobody under 21 may drink. The chauffeur follows local rules, so do not build the night around drinking in the vehicle. On winery days, tasting happens at the wineries and the vehicle is simply the ride between them.
What if our group is bigger than 12?
Book two vehicles under one reference: two Executive Sprinters for up to 24, or a Sprinter and a business SUV for up to 18. A stretch SUV limousine seats up to 16 and is quoted in the web booker. Two vehicles also let part of the group head home early.
How far ahead should we book for Fiesta?
As early as you can. Fiesta San Antonio runs April 15 to 25, 2027, hotels fill and parade routes close downtown streets for hours. Reserve the vehicle months ahead, then finalise the itinerary a week before. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup.
Can the vehicle pick up guests from several homes?
Yes. List every pickup with a time and street address on the itinerary, and the hours are booked to cover them. Pickups spread across the city add real time, so the desk will suggest a realistic schedule before you confirm.
