To rent a limo in Edmonton through Elly8.net, you book a chauffeur and a vehicle by the hour or as a fixed package, and the price is set before you pay. Hourly service runs from US$110 an hour in a business sedan to US$220 an hour in an Executive Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum, and the fixed packages include a five-hour evening out from US$550 and an eight-hour full day from US$810. Stretch limousines, stretch SUVs and party buses are priced for your date in the web booker.

In Edmonton, a limousine is always a pre-booked service. The City of Edmonton's vehicle-for-hire rules say limousines, which include luxury sedans, stretch limousines, SUVs and party buses, must be booked in advance and cannot be hailed from the street. That makes a little planning worthwhile. This guide from the Elly8.net desk explains how the city lays out, when traffic slows, which vehicle suits which trip, and what to ask before you book.

How much does it cost to rent a limo in Edmonton?

Through Elly8.net, an Edmonton limo with a chauffeur costs from US$110 an hour in a business sedan, US$140 in a business SUV and US$220 in an Executive Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum. Packages include a 4-hour city tour from US$440, a 5-hour evening from US$550 and an 8-hour day from US$810, per vehicle.

All prices are in US dollars, per vehicle, and include the chauffeur, taxes and standard gratuity. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. Rides in Edmonton are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, or seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley.

How Edmonton lays out for a limo booking

Edmonton is spread out, and the drive between two parts of the city can take longer than visitors expect. These are our routed distances and clear-road times from downtown.

Downtown and the ICE District. The office towers, hotels and the Legislature sit between Jasper Avenue and the river valley, with Rogers Place and the ICE District on the north edge. Most corporate bookings and game nights start here.

Old Strathcona and the University of Alberta. Across the river, Whyte Avenue is Edmonton's evening district, and the university brings visiting faculty, conferences and graduation-week families. On a busy Saturday night, the chauffeur stages the pickup on a side street rather than idling on the avenue.

West Edmonton Mall. West Edmonton Mall has an indoor waterpark, a rink and hotels inside, so a family day there often ends with bags and wet towels, which is exactly when a car that waits at the right entrance helps.

Fort Edmonton Park. Southwest of downtown, Fort Edmonton Park lists more than ten year-round venues for weddings and events, which makes it one of the city's busiest event pickups.

Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Nisku and Leduc. Many bookings start or end in the surrounding communities. The web booker prices any address, and Nisku and Leduc sit right beside the airport for energy-sector visits.

When the roads slow down

Weekday rush hours. Mornings and late afternoons slow the main routes in and out of downtown and toward the south side. For an evening pickup that starts at 5 p.m., book a little earlier or allow extra time.

Game nights. When the Oilers play or a concert fills Rogers Place, the streets around the arena fill before and empty all at once after. The chauffeur drops you close to your entrance and collects you from an agreed corner a block or two away; see sports event transportation and concert transportation.

Snow. Edmonton winters are long. After a snowfall, every trip takes longer; the desk confirms timing with you the evening before an early pickup.

Festival season. Summer is the busiest time for cars. K-Days usually runs in late July, and the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival fills Old Strathcona in August. Explore Edmonton publishes the official city calendar; book as soon as your dates are confirmed.

The fleet page lists seats and bags for every class. If you are unsure between a black car and a stretch limousine, our black car vs limousine comparison explains the trade-offs, and how much does a limo cost sets out what drives the price. Group planning in detail is in our Edmonton limo bus guide, and weddings in how many wedding cars you need in Edmonton.

A sample night out, planned properly

Here is how a typical five-hour birthday booking for ten friends fits together in an Executive Sprinter, the evening out and event night package at US$1,100 for the vehicle. As arithmetic only, that is US$110 each; the price is always per vehicle.

Three pickups and three drop-offs across town take real time, so a plan like this sits right at the edge of five hours. If the night may run late, book hourly instead and agree a firm finish time with the group in advance.

Questions to settle before you book

How are the hours counted? Hourly service is booked as directed with a 3-hour minimum. Plan from the first pickup to the last drop-off, including the drive between them, and add a buffer for a game or a dinner that runs late. Waiting beyond the booked time is billed at cost.

What is included? The price covers the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity. Tolls and parking are billed at cost; ask the desk if the plan includes a paid lot.

How many stops? Multi-stop trips are fine. List them when you book so the timing works.

Who is the operator? Every ride is operated by a licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partner. In Edmonton, limousines carry a City vehicle-for-hire limousine plate, according to the City's vehicle-for-hire page.

What about alcohol? Chauffeurs follow Alberta's rules on alcohol in vehicles. Plan drinks at the venue, not in the car.

What if plans change? Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show, refunded to the original card.

Rental, taxi or rideshare?

For a single short ride across town, a taxi or an app ride is usually the cheaper choice, and our Edmonton taxi and rideshare guide sets out the City's regulated taxi fares. A limo rental makes sense when the evening has several stops, when a group wants to stay together, when the car should wait outside, or when the occasion matters enough that you do not want to stand on a curb after a game.

Corporate and repeat bookings

Edmonton is Alberta's capital and a centre for energy, construction, health research and the public sector. Companies with people in the city every month can open a corporate account with monthly invoicing in US dollars and NDAs on request, and book corporate car service across all our cities through one desk. For a full day of meetings downtown, at the Legislature and out to Nisku, the corporate roadshow day keeps one chauffeur with you for 10 hours.

If the trip continues across the Prairies or into the mountains, the same service runs as our Calgary limo service, Banff chauffeur and Saskatoon car service.

How to book an Edmonton limo

Frequently asked questions

How much is it to rent a limo for a night in Edmonton?

The evening out and event night package covers five hours with a chauffeur, from US$550 in a business sedan, US$700 in a business SUV and US$1,100 in an Executive Sprinter for up to 12 passengers. Stretch limousines and party buses are priced in the web booker for your date. Prices are per vehicle, not per person.

Is there a minimum booking time?

Yes. Hourly service has a 3-hour minimum, from US$110 an hour in a business sedan to US$220 in a Sprinter. The fixed packages run 4, 5, 8 or 10 hours, which suits a tour, an evening, a full day or a corporate roadshow. Waiting beyond the booked time is billed at cost, so build in a buffer.

Can you hail a limo on the street in Edmonton?

No. Under the City of Edmonton's vehicle-for-hire rules, limousines must be pre-booked and cannot be hailed. Only taxis and accessible taxis may be flagged on the street. Book through the Elly8.net web booker, and the chauffeur arrives at the agreed time and place.

Which vehicle works best for an Oilers game?

For up to 6 people, a business or first class SUV; for up to 12, an Executive Sprinter, so the group stays together. The chauffeur drops you near your entrance at Rogers Place and collects you from an agreed corner away from the main exits after the game.

Do you serve Sherwood Park, St. Albert and Leduc?

Yes. Enter any address in the web booker and it prices the trip before you pay, with the same chauffeur standards as downtown. By our routing, Sherwood Park and St. Albert are each about 15 km from downtown, and Leduc and Nisku sit beside the airport, about 7 to 10 km from YEG.

What is included in the price?

The chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity, quoted in US dollars before you pay. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. Rides are operated by licensed, commercially insured local partners, and vehicles are four model years old or newer, or seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley.
