Group transportation means moving several people, usually with luggage, on one plan: from the airport to a hotel, between a conference and dinner, around a wedding weekend or out for a night. The right booking is the one that gets everyone to the same place at the same time without paying for empty seats. For most groups of 7 to 12 with bags, that is one Executive Sprinter; for 4 to 6, a Business SUV; for more than 12, a combination of vehicles timed to travel together.
Elly8.net prices every vehicle as a whole, all-in, with a fixed fare you see before you pay. In Las Vegas, for example, an Executive Sprinter for 12 people and 12 bags from Harry Reid International to the Strip costs US$325; in Orlando, from MCO to International Drive, US$405. This guide shows how to choose the vehicle, how to compare one large vehicle with two smaller ones, and what changes city by city.
What is the best vehicle for group transportation?
Choose by bags as well as people. Up to 3 travellers with 2 bags fit a sedan; up to 6 with 6 bags fit a Business SUV; up to 12 with 12 bags fit an Executive Sprinter. Party vehicles seat up to 16 but carry only 2 bags. For larger groups, combine vehicles on one reservation so they travel together.
The bag count is the one most planners forget. A stretch SUV limousine seats 16, which looks perfect for a group of 14 arriving at the airport, until 14 suitcases appear at the kerb. Party vehicles are built for nights out; groups with luggage need a Sprinter or SUVs.
The vehicle ladder
These are the vehicles Elly8.net books, with capacities from the fleet page:
| Group | Vehicle | Passengers | Bags | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 3 | Business or First Class Sedan | 3 | 2 | Small parties, VIPs within a group |
| 4 to 6 | Business SUV / Van or First Class SUV | 6 | 6 | Families, small teams, golf and ski bags |
| 7 to 12 | Executive Sprinter | 12 | 12 | Airport groups, conference shuttles, wedding guests |
| Up to 8 | Stretch Limousine | 8 | 2 | Celebrations without luggage |
| Up to 12 | Party Bus | 12 | 2 | Birthdays, concerts, nights out |
| Up to 16 | Stretch SUV Limousine | 16 | 2 | Big celebrations in one vehicle |
| 13 and up | Two or more vehicles | Combined | Combined | Large groups, split schedules |
Sedans, SUVs and Sprinters have fixed published prices in every city. Stretch limousines, party buses and stretch SUVs are priced for your route and hours in the web booker.
One large vehicle or two smaller ones?
This is the most common question in group bookings, and the arithmetic is often closer than people expect.
Las Vegas, airport to the Strip, 10 people with 10 bags. One Executive Sprinter costs US$325. Two Business SUVs cost US$165 each, US$330 together. The price is almost the same, so the choice is about how the group behaves: one vehicle keeps everyone together and means one meeting point; two vehicles let half the group go to a different hotel without a second stop.
Nashville, BNA to downtown and Broadway, 12 people with bags. One Executive Sprinter costs US$325. Two Business SUVs would be US$330 and carry the same 12. Again nearly identical, and again the decision is about the plan, not the price.
Orlando, MCO to International Drive, 12 people. One Executive Sprinter costs US$405; two Business SUVs at US$205 each cost US$410.
The pattern holds across our price lists: a Sprinter usually costs about the same as two Business SUVs on the same route. Choose one vehicle when the group has one destination and one timetable, and two when people need to split. The full figures are on the Las Vegas, Nashville and Orlando city pages.
Count people, bags and stops
Before you book, write down three numbers for each leg of the trip:
- People riding together at the busiest moment. Not the total guest list, but how many are in the vehicle at once.
- Bags. Full-size suitcases count as one; carry-ons often fit with them, but golf bags, skis, strollers and sample cases need space of their own.
- Stops. Every extra pickup or drop-off adds time. Three hotels on one route can add half an hour to an airport run.
If any number pushes a vehicle past its limit, step up a size or split the group.
Airport arrivals for groups
Groups rarely land together. A conference team or wedding party usually arrives on several flights over a few hours, which leaves two options:
- One vehicle per flight cluster. Book a vehicle for each group of flights landing within an hour or so of each other. Each chauffeur tracks its flight and meets that sub-group inside arrivals.
- One Sprinter that waits. If everyone lands within a short window, one Executive Sprinter can wait for the last flight. That saves money if the window is short, and costs patience if it is not.
Every airport fare on Elly8.net is the same fixed price in either direction, includes meet and greet inside arrivals, and comes with complimentary waiting after a tracked landing. Our airport transfers page explains how meeting works for groups.
One practical tip for the organiser: send every traveller the same short message before they fly, with the meeting point inside arrivals, the name on the board and a single contact for the day. Groups lose most time when one person waits at the kerb, another at baggage claim and a third outside the wrong terminal door. A clear instruction removes that, and the chauffeur can account for everyone before the vehicle moves.
Conferences and conventions
Conferences create the most predictable group demand: everyone moves between the same hotels and the same convention centre at the same hours. Orlando's Orange County Convention Center and the city's official visitor site, Visit Orlando, are good places to check event dates and hotel locations before you plan shuttles. In Las Vegas, the LVCVA is the official authority for the city's convention business.
For a conference team, three patterns work well:
- A Sprinter by the hour for the opening and closing days, shuttling between the hotel, the venue and dinner. In Orlando and Las Vegas the Executive Sprinter is US$190 an hour, with a 3-hour minimum.
- Sedans for executives who need to leave at different times.
- A corporate account for monthly invoicing and one point of contact. See corporate accounts and conference transportation.
Weddings and wedding weekends
Wedding groups mix ages, timetables and expectations. The couple want a special car, the wedding party wants to arrive together, grandparents want an easy step-in and the guests want to get back to the hotel after the reception. A typical plan uses a Sprinter for guests, a Business SUV for parents and a separate car for the couple. Our guide to the Rolls Royce car for a wedding works through a full wedding day, including how many hours to book for each vehicle.
Nights out and celebrations
For birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette nights, and concerts, the mood matters as much as the seats. A party bus or stretch SUV limousine keeps the group together; an Executive Sprinter is the better tool if the night starts at the airport or includes luggage. Two guides cover these nights in detail: how much a party bus costs and limo to concert drop-off points and timing.
Nashville is a city built for this. The official visitor site, Visit Music City, lists the venues and events; a Sprinter on the 5-hour evening package costs US$950 there, which works out at about US$79 each for 12 guests. That division is arithmetic for the group; the price is per vehicle.
Neighbourhoods, traffic peaks and popular routes
Group plans fail on timing more often than on vehicles. A few local patterns are worth knowing before you set pickup times.
Las Vegas. Harry Reid International is only about 9 miles (14 km) from the Strip, but the clear-road time is about 39 minutes, because the Strip itself is slow. A group with dinner reservations an hour after landing has less margin than the map suggests. For nights out, the 5-hour evening package in a Sprinter is US$950.
Orlando. MCO is about 13 miles (22 km) from International Drive, around 23 minutes on a clear road, but convention mornings and theme-park evenings move large numbers of people along the same corridors. Orlando Sanford, about 37 miles (60 km) away, is a longer run: US$715 in a Sprinter.
Nashville. BNA is about 8 miles (14 km) from downtown and Broadway, roughly 16 minutes on a clear road, which makes airport-to-hotel runs quick. The pressure point is downtown at night, when Broadway's bars and venues fill and kerb space is scarce; agree pickup corners a block or two away.
New York. JFK to Midtown is about 18 miles (29 km), 29 minutes on a clear road and far longer in the afternoon. For groups landing at JFK and staying in Midtown, a Sprinter at US$550 is often simpler than three taxis, because it keeps everyone and every bag together through the slow part of the drive.
Toronto. Pearson is about 19 miles (31 km) from downtown. Toronto runs on the Elly8 fleet and chauffeurs, and the Sprinter from Pearson to downtown costs US$405.
The general rule: set the pickup time from the clear-road estimate plus a generous peak allowance, and give every group member the same meeting point in writing.
Very large groups
For more than 16 people, combine vehicles. A Sprinter and a stretch SUV limousine together carry 28; two Sprinters carry 24 with 24 bags; three Sprinters carry 36. The desk books them on one plan and times them to arrive together, with one confirmation.
Coach-sized groups are a different category. Venues treat full-size buses differently from cars and vans, often with separate lots and advance reservations, and the vehicles themselves are regulated differently. For a group that size, tell the desk the numbers and the plan, and it will tell you plainly what Elly8.net can book and what needs a coach operator.
What it costs: a quick reference
These are published Elly8.net fares, fixed and all-in per vehicle:
| City and route | Business SUV (6 and 6) | Executive Sprinter (12 and 12) | Sprinter by the hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| Las Vegas, LAS to the Strip | US$165 | US$325 | US$190 |
| Nashville, BNA to downtown and Broadway | US$165 | US$325 | US$190 |
| Orlando, MCO to International Drive | US$205 | US$405 | US$190 |
| New York, JFK to Midtown Manhattan | US$275 | US$550 | US$210 |
| Toronto, Pearson to downtown | US$205 | US$405 | US$220 |
Every price includes the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes, a standard gratuity and airport meet and greet. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. Round trips on the same airport route are 5 percent below two one-way fares.
Who drives a group booking
Toronto and the GTA run on the Elly8 fleet and chauffeurs. In every other city, rides are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer. Elly8.net is a member of LimousineWorldwide.Directory, LimousineAssociation.International, HotelsWorldwide.Directory and VacationsWorldwide.Directory. For group flights and hotel blocks, our travel partner is BookingWorldwide.net.

Frequently asked questions
How much does group transportation cost?
It depends on the vehicle and the route. As examples, an Executive Sprinter for 12 people and 12 bags costs US$325 from Las Vegas airport to the Strip and US$405 from Orlando's MCO to International Drive, all-in per vehicle. By the hour, the Sprinter is US$190 in Las Vegas and Orlando, with a 3-hour minimum.
Is one Sprinter cheaper than two SUVs?
Usually about the same. On our price lists a Sprinter costs close to two Business SUVs on the same route, for example US$325 against US$330 in Las Vegas. Choose one vehicle when the group shares a destination and schedule, and two when people need to split.
How do you handle a group arriving on different flights?
Book a vehicle for each cluster of flights landing close together, or one Sprinter that waits for the last arrival if the window is short. Every chauffeur tracks its flight and meets the group inside arrivals, with complimentary waiting after a tracked landing.
Can a party bus take a group from the airport?
It can carry the people but not the luggage: party buses and stretch limousines are booked for only two bags. For airport groups, an Executive Sprinter carries up to 12 passengers and 12 bags, and two or more Sprinters cover larger groups.
Is the price per person?
No. Every Elly8.net price is per vehicle, whatever the number of passengers. Groups often divide the total among themselves, which is fine for settling up, but the booking and the payment are for the whole vehicle, so an empty seat costs the same as a full one.
Can a company pay for a group on invoice?
Yes. A corporate account gives fixed fares, monthly invoicing and one point of contact for group bookings across every Elly8.net city. Travel agents and hotels can book on account too, through the partner programmes, which suits incentive trips and group tours.
