A Phoenix airport limo booking is simple once you know the sequence. You give us your flight number, the chauffeur tracks the flight, meets you inside the terminal at baggage claim with a name board, helps with the bags and walks you to the car at the curb. You do not queue at the taxi curb or walk out to the rideshare zone, and the price was fixed when you reserved.
With Elly8.net, Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) to downtown Phoenix is US$115 in a Business Sedan, US$150 in a Business SUV, US$185 in a First Class SUV, US$205 in a First Class Sedan and US$300 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle and all-in. The same fixed price applies on the way back to the airport. Below is the whole pickup, step by step.
Where does the chauffeur meet you at Phoenix Sky Harbor?
Inside the terminal at baggage claim, with a name board. Sky Harbor's passenger flights use Terminal 3 and Terminal 4, and baggage claim is on the ground level of both. Your chauffeur tracks the flight, waits there for you, helps with the bags and walks you to the car at the terminal curb.
That is the core of airport meet and greet: someone is standing where you will be, not circling a cell phone lot. The airport confirms on its baggage claim page that the claim halls for both terminals are on the ground level, so from the gate you simply follow the baggage signs down. Your name board is the first thing you see after the carousels.
If you are arriving from outside the US, the meeting point moves with the flow of passengers. Sky Harbor's customs page says most international flights arrive at Terminal 4, Level 3, at the east end. Your chauffeur waits for you after you clear customs, and because the flight is tracked, the time you spend in the passport line does not change the fixed price within the included waiting.
Before you fly: the four details we need
A smooth pickup is mostly decided at the booking. Give us:
- Your flight number and date. Not the landing time: the number. The flight number is what lets the chauffeur track delays, early arrivals and gate changes.
- The lead passenger's name and mobile number. That is the name on the board and the number the chauffeur texts if you cannot find each other.
- Head count and bags. Include golf bags, strollers, ski bags or equipment cases. Luggage is the reason most vehicle choices go wrong.
- Child seats. Tell us each child's age and weight, and the right seat is fitted before pickup. Child seats are available on request.
Your confirmation arrives by email when you reserve, and the chauffeur's details are sent before pickup. Save both on your phone before you board, because the walk from the gate to baggage claim is where people look for them.

Landing, waiting and late flights
Flights land early, late and at different gates than planned. Because the chauffeur tracks the flight, the pickup is timed to the actual landing, not the schedule you booked months ago. Complimentary waiting after a tracked landing is included, which covers the usual taxi to the gate, the walk and a normal wait at the carousel.
If your bag is lost or you are held up at a service desk, message the chauffeur or our 24/7 desk. Waiting beyond the included time is billed at cost, and the desk tells you before that applies. If your flight is cancelled and you rebook, send the new flight number and the pickup moves with you.
Choosing the vehicle by luggage, not just by seats
Seat count is easy; bag count is where airport pickups go wrong. A Business Sedan seats three but carries about two large bags. Four adults with four checked bags and carry-ons belong in an SUV, not a sedan, even though four people could fit.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Large bags | PHX to downtown Phoenix | Good fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Business Sedan | up to 3 | about 2 | US$115 | one or two travellers, light luggage |
| First Class Sedan | up to 3 | about 2 | US$205 | executives, a quieter cabin |
| Business SUV | up to 6 | about 6 | US$150 | families, golf bags, strollers |
| First Class SUV | up to 6 | about 6 | US$185 | families or small teams, premium cabin |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | about 12 | US$300 | teams, wedding parties, golf groups |
Phoenix arrivals often carry something awkward: golf bags in the cooler months, baseball gear in spring training season, or trade-show cases for a downtown convention. If in doubt, size up. The SUV costs US$35 more than the sedan to downtown and avoids a bag on someone's lap. Our fleet page lists each class with seats and bag space, and our guide to Phoenix Sprinter van rental covers group arrivals in more detail.
Booking a pickup for someone else
Many Sky Harbor pickups are booked by someone who is not on the plane: an assistant booking for an executive, a company collecting a candidate, a family meeting a parent, or a hotel concierge arranging a guest's arrival. That works the same way. Put the traveller's name on the booking so it appears on the board, add their mobile number so the chauffeur can reach them directly, and keep your own email on the reservation so the confirmation and any changes come to you.
If the person arriving does not speak much English, or has never been to Phoenix, say so in the booking notes. The chauffeur will look out for them at baggage claim and the desk will keep you updated. For companies that do this often, corporate accounts add saved traveller profiles and monthly invoicing, and hotels can open their own accounts through our hotel partners page.
From the curb to downtown: what the drive looks like
Sky Harbor sits about 5 miles (8 km) from downtown Phoenix, about 11 minutes on a clear road. That is unusually close for a big airport. Weekday rush hours and event nights downtown slow the last mile, especially when Mortgage Matchup Center or Chase Field has a crowd, but the fixed price does not move with traffic.
Many travellers are not going downtown at all. Old Town Scottsdale is about 10 miles (16 km) from PHX, and our Scottsdale car service page lists that route from US$140 in a Business Sedan to US$365 in an Executive Sprinter. Tempe, Chandler, the Camelback Corridor and the Glendale stadium area are quoted by the web booker when you enter the address, and the quote is fixed when you reserve.
Fixed price vs flat rate vs meter
At Sky Harbor you will meet three ways of pricing a ride, and it helps to know which is which.
- Flat rate. The airport's taxis charge a US$20 flat rate to a small downtown zone between Roosevelt Street, Lincoln Street, Seventh Avenue and Seventh Street, as listed on Sky Harbor's taxis and shuttles page. For one person heading into that zone, it is very good value.
- Meter. Everywhere else, taxis charge US$7 for the first mile, US$2.60 for each additional mile and US$36 an hour for traffic delay, with an US$18 minimum. The total depends on the road.
- Demand pricing. Rideshare fares move with demand and are set by the app at the time you request.
An Elly8.net price is a fourth kind: fixed per vehicle, with taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet included, and agreed before you fly. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. Our Phoenix airport taxi guide works through real meter examples, and Uber vs taxi vs private car at PHX covers the app option.
When a taxi or rideshare is the better choice
We would rather you book the right thing than book us. If you are one traveller with a carry-on landing mid-afternoon and heading to a downtown hotel inside the flat-rate zone, the US$20 taxi is the sensible answer. If you are travelling light and on a budget, the free PHX Sky Train runs to the 44th Street station for Valley Metro Rail.
A pre-booked chauffeur earns its price when the flight lands late at night, when a family needs child seats fitted, when a group would otherwise need two or three cars, when the hotel is in Scottsdale or a resort outside the taxi zone, and when a client or executive is arriving and the first impression matters. It also wins on event weeks, when the curbs are busiest. See our chauffeur vs taxi comparison for the general case.
Departures: the same price on the way out
Every Phoenix airport fare is the same fixed price in either direction. For a departure, the chauffeur collects you at your hotel, home or office at the time you set, and drops you at the departures curb for your airline's terminal. Tell us the airline when you book so we head to the right one.
Plan the pickup time with the airline's check-in and security guidance in mind, and allow more on event weekends and convention weeks. A round trip, from the airport on arrival and back on departure, runs from US$220 in a Business Sedan to US$570 in an Executive Sprinter and can be booked in one go on the Phoenix fares panel.
Private jets and other airports
This guide covers Sky Harbor's commercial terminals. For private flights, give us the tail number, the FBO and the estimated arrival, and the chauffeur waits at the FBO. Our private jet and FBO transfers page explains how those pickups work, and NDAs are available on request. Scottsdale Airport, popular with private aviation, has its own fares on the Scottsdale page.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a limo from Phoenix airport to downtown?
US$115 in a Business Sedan, US$150 in a Business SUV, US$185 in a First Class SUV, US$205 in a First Class Sedan and US$300 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. Prices are fixed and all-in, including taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet. Tolls, parking and extra waiting are billed at cost.
Which Sky Harbor terminal do flights arrive at?
Sky Harbor's passenger flights use Terminal 3 and Terminal 4, and your airline decides which. Most international flights arrive at Terminal 4. Give us the flight number and the chauffeur goes to the right baggage claim; you do not need to work it out yourself.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
The chauffeur tracks your flight and times the pickup to the actual landing. Complimentary waiting after a tracked landing is included. If something holds you up after landing, such as a lost bag, message the chauffeur or the 24/7 desk, which will tell you before any extra waiting applies.
Can you fit golf bags?
Yes, with the right vehicle. A Business Sedan carries about two large bags, so a golf trip usually needs a Business SUV or First Class SUV, which carry about six, or an Executive Sprinter for a larger group. List golf bags when you book so the vehicle is sized correctly.
Is the price the same going back to the airport?
Yes. Every Phoenix airport fare is the same fixed price in either direction, so downtown to PHX is US$115 in a Business Sedan, just like the arrival. A round trip between PHX and downtown runs from US$220 in a Business Sedan to US$570 in an Executive Sprinter, booked together in one reservation.
What is the cancellation policy for an airport pickup?
Yes. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup. At 72 hours or less the charge is 10%, at 48 hours or less it is 50%, and at 24 hours or less, or for a no-show, it is 100%. Refunds go back to the original card.
