Pearson to Niagara Falls is about 121 km (75 mi) by road from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to the Fallsview hotel district, roughly 95 minutes on a clear road. With Elly8.net the fare is fixed before you fly: from US$315 in a business sedan and US$410 in a business SUV, up to US$820 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle and all-in.
That price covers the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and meet and greet inside the arrivals hall. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost, and on this route there is no border to cross. This guide follows a typical arrival from the aircraft door to the hotel lobby, explains where the time goes on the drive, and sets the car beside the train-and-taxi alternative so you can choose fairly.
How long does the drive from Pearson to Niagara Falls take?
On a clear road the drive from Toronto Pearson to the Fallsview hotels takes about 95 minutes for 121 km (75 mi). On a weekday rush hour or a summer Friday afternoon, plan on two hours or more. Add the time from landing to the curb, usually 30 to 75 minutes depending on customs and baggage.
The route is almost entirely the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW), which runs west from the airport area around the end of Lake Ontario through Oakville, Burlington and Hamilton, then east across the Niagara Peninsula past St. Catharines to Niagara Falls. Two stretches decide how long it takes: the Burlington and Hamilton section around the Skyway, where commuter traffic builds, and the last few kilometres into the tourist district, where summer evenings and fireworks nights slow everything near Fallsview Boulevard.
| When you land | What the drive usually looks like | Our planning time, curb to hotel |
|---|---|---|
| Weekday, 10 am to 2 pm | light traffic once clear of the airport area | about 95 to 110 minutes |
| Weekday, 3 pm to 7 pm | westbound commuter traffic through Oakville and Burlington | about 2 hours, sometimes more |
| Friday afternoon, May to September | weekend traffic heading to Niagara and cottage country | 2 hours or more |
| Late evening or early morning | open highway | close to the 95-minute clear-road time |
| Snow or freezing rain | slower QEW, especially around the Skyway | add 30 to 60 minutes |
Those are planning numbers from the routes we book every week, not promises. The fixed fare stays the same whichever row your flight falls in, which is the point of booking ahead.

Meeting your driver at Terminal 1 or Terminal 3
Pearson has two passenger terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, and your chauffeur meets you inside the arrivals area of whichever one your airline uses, holding a name board. Add your flight number when you book. The desk tracks the flight, so an early landing or a two-hour delay is handled without a phone call, and you get complimentary waiting after a tracked landing to cover the walk, customs and baggage.
An international arrival at Pearson usually runs in this order:
- Landing and taxiing. The desk sees the actual landing time and the chauffeur moves from the waiting area to the arrivals hall.
- Customs and immigration. Canada Border Services Agency processing can be quick or slow depending on how many wide-body flights land together. Nothing you need to manage on the car side.
- Baggage. Collect bags, then follow the exit signs into the public arrivals area.
- The name board. Your chauffeur is in the arrivals area. If you cannot see them, the confirmation email has the desk number and the chauffeur's details.
- The car. A short walk to the vehicle, bags loaded, child seats already fitted if you asked for them, and you are on the highway.
Domestic arrivals skip step 2 and are usually on the road faster. If you connect at Pearson from a US flight, you clear Canadian customs on arrival like any international passenger. For how pickups work at every airport we serve, see airport transfers and the meet and greet service.
The fixed fare, vehicle by vehicle
All prices are per vehicle, never per person. The five classes on the Niagara Falls price list cover most arrivals:
| Vehicle | Pearson to Fallsview, one way | Round trip booked together | Takes up to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business sedan | US$315 | US$600 | 3 passengers, 2 bags |
| Business SUV | US$410 | US$780 | 6 passengers, 6 bags |
| First class SUV | US$505 | US$960 | 6 passengers, 6 bags |
| First class sedan | US$555 | US$1,055 | 3 passengers, 2 bags |
| Executive Sprinter | US$820 | US$1,560 | 12 passengers, 12 bags |
Choose by luggage first and people second. Two adults with two large suitcases fit a sedan; add a stroller or a golf bag and the SUV is the safer choice. A family of five with a week of luggage needs the SUV, and two families travelling together, a wedding party or a golf group belongs in the Sprinter. Our fleet page lists every class, and the full grid for Niagara is in the Niagara Falls fares panel.
The fare is the same in either direction, so the hotel-to-Pearson trip on your last day costs exactly what the arrival cost. Booking both legs together as a round trip saves on two singles.
Pearson to Niagara Falls without a car: the honest version
There is a good public route, and for some travellers it is the right one. The UP Express train runs from Pearson's Terminal 1 to Union Station in about 28 minutes, and from Union, GO Transit runs to Niagara Falls all year, with children 12 and under riding free. When the direct Niagara train is not running, GO's weekday page says you can take the Lakeshore West train to Burlington and transfer to GO Bus Route 12, which stops at the Niagara Falls Bus Terminal across the street from the Niagara Falls GO Station.
The catch is geography. The GO station is in the city's north end, and the Fallsview hotels sit on the escarpment above the Horseshoe Falls, so you still need a local taxi or bus for the last leg, with bags. Niagara taxis run on regulated meters: Niagara Region publishes a maximum tariff of C$3.80 to start, C$0.32 per 100 metres and C$31 an hour waiting on its licensing page.
| Option | What it costs | Door to door | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| UP Express plus GO plus local taxi | per-person transit fares plus a metered taxi | longer, two or three connections | one traveller, light bag, open afternoon |
| Rideshare from the airport | shown in the app, moves with demand | same highway, plus the wait for a match | flexible plans, off-peak landings |
| Airport taxi or limo rank | regulated airport fare by destination, ask before you ride | same highway | walk-up arrivals with no booking |
| Elly8.net business sedan | US$315 fixed, all-in, per vehicle | about 95 minutes plus the airport walk | couples, families, fixed budgets |
| Elly8.net Executive Sprinter | US$820 fixed, all-in, per vehicle | same | groups up to 12 with bags |
If you are one person with a carry-on landing at midday, the train-and-taxi route is the economical choice, and we would not pretend otherwise. A car makes more sense once there are two or three of you with suitcases, when the flight lands after a long overnight, when children need seats, or when you simply want one number for the whole trip. For the wider argument, see chauffeur vs airport shuttle and chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft.
Arriving at the hotel
Our Niagara Falls fares are quoted to the Fallsview hotel district. The driveways there are busy, often shared with tour coaches, valets and taxis, and several hotels have separate entrances for the tower, the casino and the conference floors. Tell us the hotel name when you book; the chauffeur confirms the exact door and helps with bags to the lobby.
Staying somewhere else, such as a bed and breakfast in Niagara-on-the-Lake, a hotel near Clifton Hill or a winery inn? Enter the address in the web booker and it returns a fixed price for that exact trip. If your plans include wine country after you land, our guide to a Niagara-on-the-Lake wine tour with a private driver explains how the eight-hour day is planned.
Stops on the way
Some travellers break the drive. Common requests are a coffee and restroom stop after a long-haul flight, a quick visit in Mississauga or Hamilton to drop someone off, or a detour through Niagara-on-the-Lake to arrive at the Falls along the Niagara Parkway. Add stops in the web booker so they are priced in advance; an unplanned stop of a few minutes is no problem, while a long one becomes waiting time billed at cost.
If you are spending a few days in Toronto first, Toronto and the GTA run on the Elly8 fleet and chauffeurs, and the Toronto car service page covers Pearson to downtown. Rides in Niagara Falls are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
Timing the trip back to Pearson
The return is where people get caught. For a flight home from Pearson, work backwards from the airline's check-in cut-off and allow for the QEW at its worst, not its best.
- International or US flights. US-bound passengers at Toronto go through US border preclearance before boarding, which CBP lists among its preclearance locations. On a weekday we usually suggest leaving Fallsview at least four hours before departure.
- Domestic flights. Three to three and a half hours before departure is a sensible pickup for most of the day.
- Friday and Sunday afternoons in summer. Add time; the eastbound and westbound QEW both fill with weekend traffic.
- Snow days. Leave earlier and keep your phone on; the chauffeur may message a revised pickup.
The car arrives at the hotel at the agreed time and waits; if you are running late, tell the desk and the chauffeur adjusts.
Groups, families and special requests
- Child seats. Available on request. Give each child's age and weight when you book so the right seat is fitted before the car reaches the airport.
- Several flights, one group. Book one Sprinter timed to the last landing, or separate cars for each flight. The desk tracks every flight on the booking.
- Corporate travel. Conference groups and incentive trips to Niagara often fly into Pearson. A corporate account gives monthly invoicing, and group transportation covers multi-vehicle arrivals.
- Travel agents and hotels. Agents booking for clients can use a travel-agent account.
If Pearson is not fixed yet, Buffalo is closer to Niagara Falls but involves the border; our Buffalo airport to Niagara Falls guide compares that route, and what to expect on a Niagara Falls airport transfer helps you choose between the three airports.

Where does the chauffeur meet me at Pearson?

What happens if my flight is delayed?
Nothing changes on your side. The pickup follows the actual landing time, so a delay or an early arrival costs nothing extra. Waiting well beyond the included time, such as a long lost-baggage claim, is billed at cost.
Is the train cheaper than a car from Pearson to Niagara Falls?

For domestic flights, three to three and a half hours is typical. Add time on summer weekends and snow days.
