A Montreal limo bus is the simplest way to move a group of 8 to 16 people through a night out with one vehicle and one driver: birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette nights, a hockey game at the Bell Centre, a concert, a casino evening or a graduation dinner. On Elly8.net, party buses, stretch limousines and stretch SUV limousines are priced in the web booker for your exact route, date and hours. The fixed-price alternative is a 12-seat Executive Sprinter at US$220 an hour in Montreal, three-hour minimum, or US$1,100 for a five-hour evening, all-in per vehicle.
This guide is about the night itself: picking the size, building the hours, working out the real cost, and asking the right questions before you pay. If you are planning wedding transport, our Montreal wedding limo guide covers that separately, because a wedding day is a different job from a party night.
How much does a limo bus cost in Montreal?
On Elly8.net, party buses and stretch limousines in Montreal are priced in the web booker for your route, date and hours, all-in. The fixed-price option is a 12-seat Executive Sprinter at US$220 an hour, three-hour minimum, or US$1,100 for the five-hour evening package, per vehicle. Twelve people sharing that evening is about US$92 each.
That per-person figure is arithmetic for comparison only; Elly8.net prices are per vehicle, never per person. The prices include the driver, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity. Tolls and parking are billed at cost, as is time beyond the booked block.

Sizes: which vehicle fits your group
| Vehicle | Passengers | Bags | Price in Montreal | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Business SUV | up to 6 | 6 | US$140 an hour, US$700 evening | small groups, a dinner and a game |
| Stretch limousine | up to 8 | 2 | web booker | birthdays, proms, the look in photos |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | 12 | US$220 an hour, US$1,100 evening | bachelor nights, concerts, team outings |
| Party bus | up to 12 | 2 | web booker | dancing-room nights, music and lights |
| Stretch SUV limousine | up to 16 | 2 | web booker | the biggest single-vehicle party |
Capacities are the maximums on our fleet page, and the booker confirms the exact vehicle for your date. Two practical rules: book for the number of people, not the number you hope will come, and leave a seat or two spare if the group includes long coats in winter, which in Montreal is half the year.
Stretch vs Sprinter. A stretch limousine has the look, side seating and a long cabin. It is slower to load at every stop, and long vehicles find curb space hard in Old Montreal and on narrow downtown streets. A Sprinter has a high roof, forward-facing seats and a sliding door, so twelve people get in and out quickly.
Party bus vs Sprinter. A party bus is about the cabin: lighting, sound and room to stand. The Sprinter is about getting between places. If the night is mostly about the destinations, the Sprinter is usually the better buy. If the vehicle is the venue, choose the bus.
More than 16. Book two vehicles that travel together, and agree with the desk which group rides in which, so the night does not split at the first stop.
Building the hours
Most Montreal nights fall into one of three patterns.
Dinner and a game or concert, about five hours. Pickup at 6 p.m., dinner downtown or in Old Montreal, the Bell Centre for a Canadiens game or an arena show, and the ride home. The five-hour evening out and event night package fits this exactly: US$550 in a business sedan, US$700 in a business SUV and US$1,100 in an Executive Sprinter.
A bar and club circuit, four to six hours. Several stops between downtown, the Plateau and Old Montreal, with the vehicle waiting nearby. Book by the hour so you can extend: US$220 an hour in the Sprinter.
The casino and the island, about four hours. The Casino de Montreal sits on Ile Notre-Dame, beside the Grand Prix circuit, and is reached over the bridges. An hourly Sprinter takes the group out, waits, and brings everyone back together.
Whatever the plan, write it down with times and addresses and send it to the desk. The chauffeur uses it to plan stops where a large vehicle can actually pull in.
A costed example
Twelve friends, a Saturday birthday in Montreal: pickup at a Griffintown condo at 6:30 p.m., dinner in Old Montreal, drinks on the Plateau, a late club downtown and drop-offs at three addresses by 1 a.m.
| Line | Detail | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Executive Sprinter, by the hour | 6:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., 6.5 hours at US$220 | US$1,430 |
| Parking or waiting fees | billed at cost if any | at cost |
| Total for the vehicle | all-in, including standard gratuity | US$1,430 |
| Per person, arithmetic only | divided by 12 | about US$119 |
The same night in two business SUVs would be 6.5 hours at US$140 each, US$1,820 in total, and the group would be split. In a party bus or stretch SUV limousine, the booker gives the exact figure for the same hours before you pay.
Montreal nights that change the plan
Bell Centre game and concert nights. Streets around the arena fill before the start and again when the crowd leaves. The chauffeur agrees a pickup point a short walk from the doors rather than trying to reach the main entrance in the crush. Our sports event transportation and concert and festival transportation pages explain how we handle venue exits.
Festival season downtown. The Festival International de Jazz de Montreal runs from June 25 to July 4, 2027, and streets in the Quartier des Spectacles close to cars. Just For Laughs follows in July. Pickups move to the edge of the closed area, and the desk sends a meeting point in advance.
Grand Prix weekend. The Canadian Grand Prix runs on May 21 to 23, 2027. It is the busiest weekend of the year for every kind of vehicle in Montreal, and large vehicles are the first to go. If a party night falls on that weekend, book as early as you can.
Winter. Snow and cold make the waiting vehicle more valuable. Allow longer between stops, and keep the plan flexible for slow streets after a storm.
Questions to ask before you pay
- Is the price per vehicle and all-in? On Elly8.net, yes: driver, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity, with tolls and parking at cost. Elsewhere, ask whether fuel, gratuity and cleaning are extra.
- What exactly is the vehicle? Ask for the class and the seat count. A 12-passenger maximum is not the same as twelve comfortable adults in winter coats.
- When does the clock start and stop? Hourly blocks run from the booked pickup time to the final drop-off. Extra time is billed at cost; agree any extension with the chauffeur.
- How many stops and addresses are included? Multiple stops are fine on an hourly booking. Tell the desk the route so drop-offs at the end are planned.
- What are the rules in the vehicle? The chauffeur follows local rules on alcohol in vehicles and the operator's own rules, so plan drinks at the venues, not on board.
- What happens if we cancel? Elly8.net: free more than 72 hours before pickup, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show, refunded to the original card.
- Is the operator licensed and insured? Rides in Montreal are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
Limo bus vs taxis vs rideshare for a group
For a group of twelve, the alternatives are three or four taxis or app cars at every stop. Each one is a separate wait, a separate fare and a separate arrival, and late at night after a game or a festival the wait is the problem. A taxi from YUL to downtown is a fixed C$49.45 by day, published by the airport, and short city trips are cheap on the meter, so for four friends going to one place and taking separate rides home, taxis are perfectly sensible. Our Montreal taxi fare estimator and Uber Black in Montreal guides set out those numbers.
The limo bus or Sprinter wins when the group wants to stay together, there are several stops, nobody wants to drive, and the night ends at a predictable time. For the general picture across cities, see party bus rental, Sprinter van with driver and black car vs limousine.
Groups flying in for the weekend
When a bachelor or bachelorette group flies in from Toronto, New York or Boston for the weekend, the plan starts at Montreal-Trudeau, not at the first bar. The fixed YUL to downtown fare in an Executive Sprinter is US$315 per vehicle, or US$600 for the round trip booked together, the same price in either direction. That one vehicle carries twelve people and twelve bags, with the chauffeur tracking the lead flight and waiting inside arrivals with a name board.
If the group arrives on different flights, book a vehicle for each cluster of arrivals rather than asking early arrivals to wait for the last plane. A business SUV at US$160 from YUL to downtown carries six with bags. Then book the Saturday night separately, by the hour or as the evening package, so the airport runs and the party night are each priced on their own. The airport transfers page explains how we track flights and handle delays.
Proms and graduations
Graduation season brings the same questions with a parent's checklist on top: who rides, where the vehicle goes, what time it returns, and who the chauffeur calls if plans change. Send the desk a parent's contact number and a fixed route, and choose a fixed end time rather than an open evening. Our prom and graduation limousine page lists the details we ask for.

Frequently asked questions
How many people fit in a Montreal limo bus?
On our fleet, a party bus seats up to 12, a stretch limousine up to 8 and a stretch SUV limousine up to 16. The Executive Sprinter also seats 12, with more room for bags. For more than 16, book two vehicles travelling together.
What is the cheapest way to rent a party vehicle for 12 in Montreal?
The fixed-price option is the Executive Sprinter: US$220 an hour with a three-hour minimum, US$660 for three hours, or US$1,100 for the five-hour evening package, per vehicle and all-in. Party buses are priced in the booker, which shows the total before you pay.
Can we drink on a limo bus in Montreal?
The chauffeur follows local rules on alcohol in vehicles and the operator's own rules, so do not plan to drink on board. Keep the toasts for the restaurant or the venue, and use the vehicle to move the group safely between them.
How far ahead should we book?
For an ordinary weekend, a few weeks is usually enough. For Grand Prix weekend in May, the jazz festival and summer Saturdays, book as early as possible, because large vehicles are limited. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup.
Can the bus pick up at several addresses?
Yes. Hourly bookings can include several pickups and drop-offs. Send the desk the addresses in order, and the time counts from the first booked pickup to the last drop-off.
Is a Sprinter or a party bus better for a Bell Centre night?
For dinner, the game and the ride home, the Sprinter is usually better: quick to load and easy to park near the arena. Choose a party bus when the time on board is the point of the night, such as a birthday circuit with music.
