A Kelowna party bus booking starts with two numbers: how many people, and how many hours. The Elly8.net fleet guide lists a Party Bus at 12 passengers, a Stretch Limousine at 8, a Stretch SUV Limousine at 16, and the Executive Sprinter, the most common group vehicle in the Okanagan, at 12 passengers with room for 12 bags. Party buses and stretch limousines are quoted in the web booker; the Executive Sprinter has fixed published prices, from US$220 an hour with a 3-hour minimum, or US$1,100 for the evening out and event night package.
Every Elly8.net price is per vehicle, never per person. Twelve friends sharing a US$1,100 Sprinter evening works out to about US$92 each as arithmetic, but the booking and the bill are for the vehicle. This guide covers how to match the vehicle to the group, how to budget the hours, a planning timeline, and the questions that separate a smooth night from an expensive one.
How many people fit in a Kelowna party bus?
It depends on the vehicle. The Elly8.net fleet guide lists a Party Bus and an Executive Sprinter at 12 passengers each, a Stretch Limousine at 8 and a Stretch SUV Limousine at 16. Count every guest, including the guest of honour, and choose a vehicle with a seat for each. For more than 16, book two vehicles.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Bags | How it is priced | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Business SUV / Van | 6 | 6 | From US$140 an hour, 3-hour minimum | Small birthday dinners, couples' nights |
| Stretch Limousine | 8 | 2 | Quoted in the web booker | Grad photos, a classic arrival |
| Party Bus | 12 | 2 | Quoted in the web booker | Birthdays, stagettes, concerts |
| Executive Sprinter | 12 | 12 | From US$220 an hour, 3-hour minimum; evening package US$1,100 | Winery days, wedding guests, golf groups |
| Stretch SUV Limousine | 16 | 2 | Quoted in the web booker | Big celebrations |
Notice the bags column. A Party Bus or stretch limousine is built for passengers, not luggage. If the group is heading to a lake house for the weekend or bringing cases home from a winery, the Executive Sprinter, with space for twelve bags, is the better fit. The fleet page shows each class.

How many hours should you book?
Hours are where budgets go wrong. Work the night out backwards and add a margin.
A birthday dinner and drinks downtown: 3 to 4 hours. Pickup at a home or hotel, dinner on Bernard Avenue or the waterfront, a second stop, and drop-offs at the end. The 3-hour minimum on hourly bookings covers a short evening; a fourth hour covers the drop-offs when guests live across the city.
A concert or a Rockets game: 4 to 5 hours. Prospera Place is downtown near the lake and hosts the Kelowna Rockets, concerts and touring shows. Add the pre-show dinner, the event itself and the exit queue. The evening out and event night package, from US$550 in a Business Sedan to US$1,100 in an Executive Sprinter, is designed for exactly this; see concert transportation.
A winery day: 8 hours. Wine country is where Kelowna groups spend the most time in one vehicle. The 8-hour Okanagan Valley wineries package is US$1,620 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle. Our Kelowna wine tour guide covers routes and timing.
A wedding: half a day to a full day. Guest shuttles between hotels, the ceremony, photos and a winery reception run longer than you expect. The full-day chauffeur is US$1,620 in an Executive Sprinter; see wedding limousine and guest shuttles.
Ask whether the hours count from the first pickup or from when the vehicle leaves its base, and what happens if the night runs over. On an Elly8.net booking, waiting beyond the included time is billed at cost, and the desk tells you the rule before you book.
What it costs: real per-vehicle numbers
| Booking | Executive Sprinter (12 passengers) | Per person at 12, as arithmetic | Business SUV (6 passengers) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hourly, 3-hour minimum | US$660 (3 x US$220) | US$55 | US$420 (3 x US$140) |
| Hourly, 5 hours | US$1,100 (5 x US$220) | about US$92 | US$700 (5 x US$140) |
| Evening out and event night | US$1,100 | about US$92 | US$700 |
| Okanagan wineries day, 8 hours | US$1,620 | US$135 | US$1,035 |
| Full-day chauffeur | US$1,620 | US$135 | US$1,035 |
| YLW to downtown, one way | US$290 | about US$24 | US$145 |
All prices are in US dollars, fixed and all-in: chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. The per-person column is division for comparison only. Party buses and stretch limousines are priced in the web booker for your date and hours, so you see the full figure before paying.
What BC's rules say about limousine pricing
British Columbia's Passenger Transportation Board licenses limousines and sets the rules they price by. Its limousine rates page says operators must charge rates approved by the Board, which sets minimum and maximum rates, and that operators must tell customers what the rates and charges will be before the trip starts. The Board's rules allow operators to price by the hour, point to point or per person. Elly8.net always prices per vehicle, so the group knows the full figure in advance and nobody's share changes if a guest drops out.
A planning timeline that works
As early as you can. Set the date, the headcount and the outline of the night. Popular dates, such as summer weekends, grad weekends and festival weekends in wine country, are when the right vehicle is hardest to find at short notice.
Once the plan is firm. Book the vehicle and send the desk the addresses, the stops and the timings. Confirm the exact headcount so the vehicle fits.
A week before. Re-confirm numbers. Share the itinerary with the group and agree who is the contact for the chauffeur on the night.
The day before. The desk confirms the pickup time and the chauffeur's details.
On the night. One person speaks for the group if the plan changes. A change to the order of stops is easy; adding an extra hour should be agreed with the desk so there are no surprises on the bill.
Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show, refunded to the original card. Build that into any deposit you collect from the group.
Questions to ask before you sign
Whichever company you book, ask these and get the answers in writing.
- Is the price per vehicle or per person, and what exactly is included? Taxes, gratuity, fuel and the chauffeur should be in the figure or listed clearly.
- When do the hours start and end? At your first pickup, or at the operator's base?
- Is there a seat for every passenger? Do not book twelve people into a vehicle with ten seats.
- How old is the vehicle? Elly8.net partner vehicles are four model years old or newer.
- Is the operator licensed and insured? In BC, limousines are licensed through the Passenger Transportation Board.
- What are the rules on alcohol, food and decorations? Rules differ by vehicle and by law; ask, and expect the chauffeur to follow local rules on alcohol in the vehicle.
- What is the cancellation policy? Get the exact percentages and deadlines.
- What happens if the night runs late? Know the extra-time rate before the evening starts.
Group winery days: rules worth knowing
Wine country is the most popular party-bus outing in the Okanagan, and a few rules shape the day. Tourism Kelowna's wine touring guide notes that you must be 19 or older to taste or buy wine in British Columbia, that some wineries require reservations and others strongly recommend them, that tasting fees are normal, and that many tasting rooms stop pouring about 15 minutes before their posted closing time. For a group of twelve, book every tasting ahead and send the times to the desk, because a large group arriving unannounced may not be seated.
The same guide reminds visitors that British Columbia has zero tolerance for drinking and driving. That is the point of a group vehicle on a tasting day: nobody in the party drives, and the chauffeur, who follows local rules on alcohol, takes everyone home.
Collecting money from the group
The simplest way to run the money is to book the vehicle on one card, then divide the per-vehicle figure by the confirmed headcount and collect shares in advance. Remember that the fare does not fall if someone drops out, so set a deadline for confirmations a few days before the free-cancellation window closes, and round the share up slightly to cover any extra time on the night.
Party bus, Sprinter or two smaller cars?
A party bus is about the ride itself: the music, the lighting and the group together. An Executive Sprinter is about comfort and space for gear, with a fixed published price, and is the usual choice for winery days, wedding guest runs and golf groups. Two Business SUVs make sense when the group splits between two areas at the end of the night, for example half to the Mission and half to West Kelowna, because each car takes one direction. The desk will suggest the cheapest combination that still gets everyone home without a long detour. Our general guides to party bus rental and the Sprinter van with driver explain the differences.
Kelowna occasions that need a group vehicle
Graduation. Grad nights bring photos, a dinner and the dance, often across three locations; see prom and graduation limousines. Parents can book and pay, and the itinerary is agreed in advance.
Stagettes and birthdays. A downtown dinner, a winery stop in the afternoon or a show at Prospera Place, with everyone dropped home at the end.
Weddings. Okanagan weddings often mean guests spread across lakeside hotels and a winery venue. A First Class Sedan for the couple and an Executive Sprinter for guests is a common pairing.
Golf and ski groups. Groups flying into Kelowna International Airport (YLW) need a vehicle with room for clubs or ski bags; the Executive Sprinter carries twelve bags. Our Kelowna to Big White guide covers winter mountain trips.
Corporate events. Team dinners, client hosting and retreat outings, with monthly invoicing through a corporate account; see group transportation.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a party bus cost in Kelowna?
Party buses and stretch limousines are quoted in the Elly8.net web booker for your date and hours, per vehicle. For comparison, a 12-passenger Executive Sprinter has fixed prices: US$220 an hour with a 3-hour minimum, US$1,100 for the evening out package and US$1,620 for an 8-hour winery day, all-in.
How many people fit on a party bus?
The Elly8.net fleet guide lists the Party Bus at 12 passengers and the Stretch SUV Limousine at 16. A Stretch Limousine takes 8 and an Executive Sprinter 12. For a larger group, book two vehicles so everyone has a seat.
How many hours should we book for a night out?
Three to four hours for dinner and drinks downtown, four to five for a concert or game with dinner, and eight for a winery day. Hourly bookings have a 3-hour minimum. Waiting beyond the included time is billed at cost, so agree any extra hour with the desk.
Is the price per person?
No. Every Elly8.net price is per vehicle. Dividing the fare by the group size is useful arithmetic when collecting money from friends, but the booking and the bill are for the vehicle, so the price does not change if one guest cancels.
Can we drink on a party bus in Kelowna?
Rules on alcohol in vehicles depend on the law and the vehicle's licensing, so ask before you book. The chauffeur follows local rules on alcohol in the vehicle. The safest plan is to enjoy drinks at the venues and let the vehicle do the driving between them.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free more than 72 hours before pickup, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. Refunds go to the original card. For a group booking, set your own deadline for guests to confirm a few days before the 72-hour mark.
