An Atlantic City airport car service takes you from Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) in Egg Harbor Township to your casino hotel in about 42 minutes on a clear road, a distance of about 17 mi (27 km). On Elly8.net the fare to the Boardwalk casinos is fixed before you fly: US$175 in a Business Sedan, US$230 in a Business SUV and US$455 in an Executive Sprinter, all-in per vehicle, with the same fixed price for the ride back to the airport.

Most of what makes an airport pickup good or bad happens before and after the drive: whether someone is waiting when the flight is late, whether the bags fit, and whether the car stops at the right hotel entrance. This guide walks through each step, so you know exactly what to expect from the moment the wheels touch down.

How much is a car from Atlantic City airport to the casinos?

An Elly8.net car from Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) to the Boardwalk casinos costs US$175 in a Business Sedan, US$230 in a Business SUV, US$280 in a First Class SUV, US$310 in a First Class Sedan and US$455 in an Executive Sprinter. The fare is fixed and all-in per vehicle and is the same in either direction.

A round trip booked together, airport to hotel at the start of the stay and back at the end, runs from US$335 in a Business Sedan and US$440 in a Business SUV to US$535 in a First Class SUV, US$590 in a First Class Sedan and US$865 in an Executive Sprinter. Each price includes the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost.

Before you fly: what to send the desk

A smooth pickup starts with four details in the booking:

  1. The flight number and date. This is how the desk tracks the arrival. If the flight lands early or late, the pickup moves with it.
  2. The exact hotel. Atlantic City has two casino districts, the Boardwalk and the Marina District across town by the bay. Naming the property tells the chauffeur which entrance to use.
  3. Passengers and bags. Count golf bags, strollers and anything oversized. It decides the vehicle class.
  4. Anything special. Child seats (on request), a mobility aid, a second stop for groceries, or a wish for a quiet ride.

Booking takes three steps: enter the pickup at ACY and the hotel as the drop-off with the flight number, choose the vehicle, then press Reserve now on the published fare or use the web booker for any other address. The confirmation arrives by email, and the chauffeur's details follow before pickup.

Landing at ACY: the meet in arrivals

Atlantic City International sits in Egg Harbor Township and is part of the South Jersey Transportation Authority, which also runs the Atlantic City Expressway, according to the airport's website. It has a far smaller schedule than Philadelphia, which usually means a quieter arrivals hall.

Here is what happens with Elly8.net:

  • The flight is tracked. The chauffeur watches the arrival time rather than the scheduled time.
  • The chauffeur waits inside arrivals with a name board. You collect your bags and look for your name; there is no curbside search for a car.
  • Complimentary waiting after a tracked landing. If the baggage belt is slow or you stop for coffee, the meet is covered. Waiting well beyond the included time is billed at cost, and the desk will message before that happens.
  • The chauffeur takes the bags and walks you to the vehicle in the area the airport allows for pre-arranged cars.

If you are landing on a private or charter flight, send the tail number and the handler at booking; our private jet and FBO car service explains how the chauffeur meets you at the handler, following the airport's and the operator's rules. For more on how meetings work across the network, see airport meet and greet.

Luggage and passengers: which vehicle fits

Choose the vehicle by bags as much as by people. The capacities below come from the Elly8.net fleet page.

VehiclePassengersBagsACY to the casinosGood for
Business Sedanup to 32US$175One or two travellers, weekend bags
First Class Sedanup to 32US$310Anniversaries, VIP arrivals
Business SUVup to 66US$230Families, golf bags, four friends
First Class SUVup to 66US$280Small groups wanting more space
Executive Sprinterup to 1212US$455Bachelor and bachelorette groups, teams

Two travellers with two large cases and two carry-ons fit a sedan, but add golf clubs and the SUV is the safer call. For seven or more, one Executive Sprinter keeps everyone together and costs less than two SUVs. The fleet page has photos and full details.

The drive: Expressway to the Boardwalk or the Marina

From ACY, the car joins the Atlantic City Expressway toward the city. On a clear road the drive to the Boardwalk casinos is about 42 minutes. The Expressway is a toll road; tolls are billed at cost on the final invoice.

Traffic matters more than distance on this route. Summer Friday evenings and holiday weekends bring heavy inbound traffic, and big show nights at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall or the casino theatres bunch arrivals at the same hour. The desk plans around the flight and the day; it cannot remove the traffic, but a fixed price means a slow Friday costs you time, not money.

Boardwalk casinos. Along the beach and Pacific Avenue: Resorts, Hard Rock, Ocean Casino Resort, Caesars, Bally's, Tropicana and The Claridge, among others. The chauffeur uses the hotel's main vehicle entrance, not the Boardwalk side.

Marina District casinos. Borgata, Harrah's and Golden Nugget sit by the bay, closer to the end of the Expressway. These arrivals are often slightly quicker than the Boardwalk.

At the hotel: the drop-off

The chauffeur pulls into the hotel's porte-cochere or vehicle entrance, unloads the bags and hands them to the bell desk if you wish. If check-in is not ready, store the bags with the bell desk and you are free. Want the car for the evening? Ask at booking: the hourly chauffeur rate in Atlantic City starts at US$95 an hour in a Business Sedan and US$190 in an Executive Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum, and the evening out and event night package starts at US$475.

Flat rate vs metered: why a fixed fare helps here

At most airports the alternative to a booked car is a taxi on the meter or an app ride priced by demand. Neither is wrong; both move with traffic and time of day. A fixed Elly8.net fare is set when you book and does not change if the Expressway backs up or your flight lands at 1 a.m.

That matters most for:

  • Late arrivals, when the taxi line may be thin and app wait times longer.
  • Groups, who would otherwise split across several cars and arrive at different times.
  • Expense reports, where one all-in number with gratuity included is easier to submit.
  • Families, who need child seats fitted before pickup.

For a solo traveller with a carry-on in daylight, a taxi or app ride from ACY is often the cheaper and perfectly sensible choice. Our guide to Atlantic City taxi, jitney and rideshare costs sets out the alternatives honestly, and chauffeur vs taxi covers the general trade-offs.

ACY or Philadelphia: which airport to use

ACY is closer, but Philadelphia International (PHL) has far more flights. Many Atlantic City visitors land at PHL and drive about 64 mi (103 km), roughly 1 hour 25 minutes on a clear road.

AirportDistance to the BoardwalkClear-road timeBusiness SedanExecutive Sprinter
Atlantic City International (ACY)17 mi (27 km)about 42 minUS$175US$455
Philadelphia International (PHL)64 mi (103 km)about 85 minUS$375US$975

If ACY has a nonstop that suits you, it is the quicker and cheaper transfer. If PHL saves you a connection, the longer drive is often worth it. Our Philadelphia to Atlantic City guide covers that route, including the stops and the train alternative, and the limo to Atlantic City guide compares every starting point.

Flying in for a show or an event

Many ACY arrivals are timed around one night: a concert, a comedy show, a fight card or a family show. Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall lists Disney On Ice presents Spotlight Magic from November 6 to 8, 2026, and Goosemas Night 1 on December 11, 2026, and the casino venues add headline acts most weekends. Visit Atlantic City, the official tourism site, keeps the full events calendar.

On those days, plan the airport transfer with a margin. A flight that lands two hours before doors is comfortable; one that lands forty minutes before is a gamble with Expressway traffic. If timing is tight, tell the desk the show time, and the chauffeur can take you straight to the venue with the bags, then on to the hotel afterwards as a second leg, or you can book the evening out package so the car waits.

For a group arriving for a celebration weekend, one Executive Sprinter from ACY at US$455 and the evening package later in the stay is a common combination. Our Atlantic City party bus guide works through the hours and the head count for those weekends.

Departure day: the ride back to ACY

The return is the same fixed fare, from US$175 in a Business Sedan. Book it with the arrival as a round trip and it is priced together from US$335. Give the desk your flight time and the chauffeur will suggest a pickup time that allows for the drive, check-in and security. ACY is small, but airline check-in deadlines still apply.

Checking out early and flying late? Store bags with the bell desk, then book the car from the hotel at the time you need. If you have a meeting on the way, add a stop when booking.

Corporate and convention arrivals

ACY works well for convention teams heading to the Atlantic City Convention Center, which NJ Transit describes as having over 500,000 square feet of exhibit and meeting space next to the rail terminal, on its Atlantic City travel page. Exhibitor teams with cases often take an Executive Sprinter. Companies booking regularly can open a corporate account with monthly invoicing, and see conference transportation for multi-day schedules.

Rides in Atlantic City are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer.

Frequently asked questions

Where will my chauffeur meet me at ACY?

Inside arrivals, holding a name board, once you have collected your bags. The flight is tracked, so the chauffeur is there for the actual landing time, and you receive complimentary waiting after a tracked landing. The chauffeur then helps with the luggage and walks you to the car.

How long is the drive from ACY to the Boardwalk?

About 17 mi (27 km), roughly 42 minutes on a clear road via the Atlantic City Expressway. Summer Fridays, holiday weekends and big show nights are slower. Marina District casinos such as Borgata are usually reached a little sooner than the southern end of the Boardwalk.

Is the price the same going back to the airport?

Yes. Every one-way airport fare is the same fixed price in either direction: US$175 in a Business Sedan up to US$455 in an Executive Sprinter from the Boardwalk casinos to ACY. A round trip booked together starts at US$335, and the desk times the return pickup from your flight.

What if my flight is delayed?

The desk tracks the flight and moves the pickup to the actual arrival time. There is complimentary waiting after a tracked landing, so a late flight or slow baggage belt is covered. Waiting well beyond the included time is billed at cost, and you are told before that happens.

Can you take a group of ten from ACY?

Yes. An Executive Sprinter seats up to 12 with up to 12 bags, at US$455 from ACY to the Boardwalk casinos, fixed for the vehicle. For larger groups, book two vehicles in one reservation so everyone leaves together and arrives at the same hotel entrance.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation more than 72 hours before pickup. At 72 hours or less the charge is 10%, at 48 hours or less 50%, and at 24 hours or less or for a no-show 100%. Refunds go back to the original card.
