A limo to Atlantic City usually starts in one of five places: Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), Center City Philadelphia, Atlantic City International Airport (ACY), Newark or Manhattan. On Elly8.net the airport runs are fixed and published: ACY to the Boardwalk casinos from US$175 in a Business Sedan and PHL to the Boardwalk from US$375, up to US$455 and US$975 in an Executive Sprinter. City pickups in Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York are quoted in the web booker at one all-in price for the vehicle.
The right booking depends less on the word "limo" than on the trip. A couple on an anniversary, a family of five with beach bags and a twelve-person bachelor party all want something different from the same 60 to 130 mile drive. This guide sets out the starting points, the vehicles and the local details that make the ride run well.

Stretch or Sprinter? A stretch limousine looks the part but carries little luggage, two bags on the fleet page. For a weekend trip with suitcases, the Executive Sprinter is the practical choice: it seats up to 12 with up to 12 bags, so the group and the luggage arrive together. Some groups book the Sprinter for the transfer and a stretch for the big night once they are checked in. The black car vs limousine guide sets out the trade-offs.
First Class or Business? First Class Sedans are S-Class or similar, and First Class SUVs are Escalade, Navigator or similar. Business classes are E-Class, CT6 or Continental sedans and Suburban, Yukon XL or V-Class SUVs. All partner vehicles are four model years old or newer (seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley).
Traffic: the hours that change the drive
Atlantic City traffic is seasonal and event-driven. Know the pinch points and the drive is predictable.
- Summer Friday afternoons and evenings. Shore traffic and casino weekends share the Expressway. Leaving Philadelphia before about 2 p.m., or after 7 p.m., avoids the worst of it.
- Sunday return. Afternoon traffic heading back toward Philadelphia and North Jersey builds through the summer and on holiday weekends.
- Holiday weekends. Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Labor Day weekends are peak shore weekends; book early and allow extra time in both directions.
- Show nights. Big concerts and fights bunch arrivals in the hour before the show. NJ Transit's Atlantic City page lists the main venues as Hard Rock Live, the Borgata Event Center, Ocean Casino Resort's Ovation Hall and the Atlantic City Convention Center, alongside Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall, which lists Disney On Ice presents Spotlight Magic from November 6 to 8, 2026.
- Leaving New York. The tunnel approach on a Friday afternoon can add an hour on its own.
A fixed price means traffic costs you time rather than money, but the desk will still suggest a pickup time that avoids the worst of it.
Arriving: the Boardwalk, the Marina and the shore towns
Boardwalk casinos. Most are along Pacific Avenue with the beach behind them. The chauffeur uses the hotel's vehicle entrance on the street side, which is where bell staff and valets work. Getting out on the Boardwalk itself is not how arrivals work.
The Marina District. Borgata, Harrah's and Golden Nugget sit by the bay, near the end of the Expressway, so they are often reached a few minutes sooner.
The convention centre and Boardwalk Hall. For a trade show or a concert, ask for a drop-off at the venue first and the hotel second, so you arrive with time to spare.
Attractions. Visit Atlantic City, the official tourism site, lists Steel Pier, the Absecon Lighthouse, the beaches and the events calendar; a drop-off at any of them is just another address in the booking.
Ventnor, Margate and Longport. Many weekend rentals and weddings are in the shore towns south of the city. Give the exact address; summer parking on residential streets is tight, so the chauffeur may stop at the nearest legal point.
Once you are there: keeping the car
Most visitors do not need a car all weekend. The AC Jitney runs four city routes at US$3 one way, 24 hours a day on three of them, and is fine for hopping between casinos, as NJ Transit's page explains. The car earns its keep for the arrival, the big night and the trip home.
For the big night, Atlantic City has fixed packages: the evening out and event night from US$475 in a Business Sedan, US$600 in a Business SUV and US$950 in an Executive Sprinter, covering the ride to dinner and the show, the wait and the ride back. An hourly chauffeur starts at US$95 an hour in a sedan and US$190 in a Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum. For groups, our Atlantic City party bus guide covers hours and head counts.
Three sample weekends and what they cost
These use the published Atlantic City prices, per vehicle and all-in, before tolls.
A couple flying into Philadelphia for an anniversary. A First Class Sedan from PHL to a Boardwalk hotel is US$660, and the same car back to PHL on Sunday is another US$660; booked together as a round trip it is US$1,255. Add the evening out package in a First Class Sedan at US$775 for dinner and a show, and the whole weekend's driving is fixed before they leave home.
A family of five landing at ACY. A Business SUV with two child seats from ACY to a Marina hotel is US$230, or US$440 as a round trip. Once checked in, the family uses the jitney and walks the Boardwalk; the private highlights tour, from US$480 in a Business SUV, covers Absecon Lighthouse and the shore towns on one afternoon.
Twelve friends from Philadelphia for a bachelor party. An Executive Sprinter from PHL is US$975 each way, or US$1,855 as a round trip, and the evening out package in the same Sprinter is US$950. As arithmetic for comparison only, the round trip plus one big night comes to US$2,805 for the vehicle, about US$234 a head across twelve people. The price itself is always per vehicle.
None of these needs a car for the whole stay. The value is in the parts of the weekend where getting it wrong costs the most: the arrival with luggage, the late night and the trip home.
Booking tips that save money and stress
- Book the round trip together. PHL to the Boardwalk and back is from US$715 in a Business Sedan, less than two one-ways at US$375 each.
- Choose by bags, not just people. Four adults with four suitcases need an SUV, not a sedan.
- Fly into ACY if a nonstop works. The transfer is shorter and cheaper.
- Give the exact casino. Boardwalk and Marina properties use different routes and entrances.
- Reserve early for summer and holidays. Sprinters and stretch vehicles are booked first.
- Mention the occasion. Weddings, proms and birthdays may need timing around photos; see wedding limousine and event transportation.
Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup; 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show, refunded to the original card.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a limo from Philadelphia to Atlantic City?
From Philadelphia International Airport, fixed Elly8.net fares to the Boardwalk casinos are US$375 in a Business Sedan, US$490 in a Business SUV and US$975 in an Executive Sprinter. From a Center City address, enter both addresses in the web booker for an all-in quote. Stretch limousines are quoted the same way.
How long is the limo ride from New York to Atlantic City?
About 129 mi (207 km) from Midtown, roughly 2 hours 45 minutes on a clear road via the Lincoln Tunnel, New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway. Friday afternoons and summer weekends add time. The fare is quoted in the web booker, fixed for the vehicle.
Is a stretch limo good for a weekend trip?
For the big night, yes; for the transfer with luggage, usually not. A stretch limousine seats up to 8 but carries little luggage. An Executive Sprinter takes up to 12 people and 12 bags, so many groups use it for the transfer and book a stretch for the evening.
Are tolls included?
No. Prices include the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet; tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. Routes from Philadelphia and New York use tolled bridges, tunnels and highways, and the toll amounts appear on the final invoice.
Can the car wait while we are at the casino?
Yes, on an hourly booking or the evening out and event night package. Hourly service starts at US$95 an hour in a Business Sedan with a 3-hour minimum, and the evening package from US$475 covers the ride there, the wait and the ride back.
Do you provide child seats for a family trip to Atlantic City?
Yes, on request. Add each child's age and weight when you book, and the seats are fitted before pickup. Families with seats and beach bags usually choose a Business SUV, which takes up to six passengers and six bags, with room left for the stroller.
