A YYC limo booked in advance means a chauffeur waiting for you inside arrivals at Calgary International Airport with a name board, a vehicle chosen for your passengers and bags, and a price fixed before you fly. On Elly8.net, YYC to downtown Calgary is US$105 in a business sedan, US$140 in a business SUV, US$170 in a first class SUV, US$185 in a first class sedan and US$275 in an Executive Sprinter, all-in per vehicle, the same price in either direction.
The airport itself publishes good information about every alternative, so this guide uses its numbers: the doors for taxis, airport sedans and ride apps, the approximate taxi fare and the flat sedan fare. Then it covers the parts that decide whether a pickup goes smoothly: the flight number, the luggage, and the timing for departures.
How does a YYC limo pickup work?
Add your flight number when you book. The chauffeur tracks the flight, waits inside the arrivals hall with a name board, and walks you to the vehicle. Complimentary waiting starts after a tracked landing, covering baggage and customs. YYC to downtown is a fixed US$105 in a business sedan to US$275 in an Executive Sprinter.
The driver contact details arrive before you travel, and the desk is open 24 hours a day if a flight is diverted or cancelled. Rides in Calgary are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.

The arrivals level: who waits where
YYC has domestic and international arrivals, and the arrivals curb is organised by numbered doors. The airport's own pages set out where each kind of ride waits:
| Ride | Where at YYC arrivals | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|
| Taxi | doors 1, 9 and 15 | metered, about C$40 to C$45 to downtown in normal conditions |
| Airport sedan, on demand | doors 2, 11 and 15 | flat zone fare, C$68.75 to downtown, plus a C$11 access fee per pickup |
| Uber and Lyft | doors 3, 12 and 15; departures doors 5 and 11 at peak times | live price in the app |
| Calgary Transit Route 500 | bus stop, express to downtown via Centre Street | C$4.00 adult fare |
| Elly8.net chauffeur | inside the arrivals hall, name board | fixed, from US$105 to downtown |
Sources: the YYC taxis and sedans page, ride app page and public transit page, and Calgary Transit's fares page. The airport also notes that taxis and limousines are regulated by the City of Calgary's Livery Transport Services, and that private limousine companies usually need to be booked in advance.
The point of meet and greet is that you do not need any of these door numbers. You walk out of baggage claim or customs, see your name, and the chauffeur takes it from there. For how we run meet and greet in every city, see airport meet and greet.
A YYC arrival, step by step
When you book. Give the flight number, the number of passengers, every bag including sports equipment, and any child seats. Add a mobile number that works in Canada, or a messaging app, so the chauffeur can reach you after landing.
When the flight departs. The desk starts tracking. If the departure is delayed, the pickup moves automatically; you do not need to call.
When you land. Switch your phone on. The chauffeur's name and contact details are already in your confirmation, so you know who to look for and how to reach them. On a domestic flight you go straight to baggage claim; from the United States or overseas you clear Canadian customs first.
In the arrivals hall. Look for your name on the board. If you cannot see it, message the chauffeur or call the 24/7 desk rather than walking out to the curb, where the doors belong to taxis, sedans and app pickups.
At the vehicle. The chauffeur loads the bags, confirms the destination and any stops, and drives. Complimentary waiting after a tracked landing means a long customs queue or a slow carousel costs nothing extra.
Luggage: what each vehicle really takes
At YYC, luggage deserves as much thought as passengers. Calgary is a gateway to the Rockies, so many arrivals carry skis, snowboards, golf bags, hockey bags or a week of mountain clothing.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Bags | Typical YYC trip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business sedan | up to 3 | 2 | a business traveller with a suitcase and a carry-on |
| First class sedan | up to 3 | 2 | an executive arrival going straight to a meeting |
| Business SUV or van | up to 6 | 6 | a family, or two golfers with clubs and suitcases |
| First class SUV | up to 6 | 6 | a family who wants the larger SUV class |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | 12 | a team, a wedding party or a ski group |
| Stretch limousine | up to 8 | 2 | a celebration, not a luggage run |
Three rules from the desk:
- Count the bags, not the people. Two people with two large suitcases and two ski bags need a business SUV, not a sedan.
- Mention odd shapes. Bikes, hockey bags and golf travel cases need a word when you book so the right vehicle is sent.
- A stretch is for the occasion. A stretch limousine carries eight people but only two bags. For an arriving wedding party with luggage, an Executive Sprinter is the better airport vehicle, with the stretch booked for the day itself.
Capacities are listed on the fleet page. Child seats are fitted on request; give each child's age and weight.
Fixed fares to downtown and back
| Vehicle | YYC to downtown | Round trip booked together | By the hour, 3-hour minimum |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business sedan | US$105 | US$200 | US$110 |
| Business SUV | US$140 | US$270 | US$140 |
| First class SUV | US$170 | US$325 | US$165 |
| First class sedan | US$185 | US$355 | US$180 |
| Executive Sprinter | US$275 | US$525 | US$220 |
All prices are in US dollars, fixed and all-in, including the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet. Parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. YYC is about 14 km (9 mi) from downtown, roughly 19 minutes on a clear road via Deerfoot Trail or Barlow Trail, and longer at the morning and afternoon peaks.
For other Calgary addresses, such as Stampede Park, the Beltline, the southwest or Spruce Meadows, enter the address in the web booker, which prices it before you pay. Mountain transfers are separate: YYC to the town of Banff starts at US$370 in a business sedan, and our Calgary Airport to Canmore guide covers the Canmore run step by step.
Taxi, sedan, app or limo: an honest comparison
For one traveller with a carry-on at midday, the taxi is fine. The airport puts the fare to downtown at about C$40 to C$45 under normal conditions,, from stands at doors 1, 9 and 15. Route 500 is cheaper still at C$4.00 for an adult.
For an on-demand premium car, the airport sedan at C$68.75 to downtown, plus the access fee, is the walk-up equivalent of a booked sedan.
For app riders, Uber's own YYC page showed averages from Calgary to the airport of about CA$39 for UberX, CA$68 for UberXL and CA$85 for Premier over the month before we checked in October 2026, and states that these are not fixed or guaranteed prices.
A pre-booked limo or black car wins when the flight lands late at night, when the group has bags, when a child seat must be ready, when you are going straight into a meeting, or when the arrival falls in Stampede week or a big event week. For the full argument, see chauffeur vs taxi and Uber Black vs a pre-booked chauffeur.
Event weeks: book early
Grey Cup Festival, November 11 to 15, 2026. Calgary hosts the 113th Grey Cup this November, with a five-day Grey Cup Festival in the city. Expect full hotels, cold weather and heavy demand for cars from YYC that week.
Calgary Stampede, July 9 to 18, 2027. The Calgary Stampede is the busiest ten days of the year for every kind of ride in Calgary. Book YYC transfers and evening cars together; the evening out and event night package runs five hours, from US$550 in a business sedan to US$1,100 in an Executive Sprinter.
Trade-show weeks. Big shows at the BMO Centre at Stampede Park bring exhibitor and delegate traffic between YYC, downtown hotels and the park. Our conference transportation page explains multi-day schedules.
Departures: setting the pickup time
The fare is the same in either direction. When you book a departure, give the flight number and the airline. The desk sets the pickup from your flight time, the terminal side and the traffic you will meet on Deerfoot. Three things to know:
- US flights. YYC has US preclearance, according to the airport's customs and immigration page, so you complete US border formalities in Calgary before boarding. Leave extra time.
- Snow. The first heavy snowfall of the season slows the whole city. The desk may suggest an earlier pickup.
- Peaks. Weekday afternoons on Deerfoot can double a clear-road drive. Leaving from downtown at 4 p.m. needs more margin than at 10 a.m.
Private jets and corporate arrivals
Executives arriving on private aircraft are met at the FBO; see private jet and FBO car service. For a day of meetings across downtown towers, a corporate roadshow day keeps one chauffeur for ten hours from US$990 in a business sedan, and a corporate account adds monthly invoicing and NDAs on request. Our Calgary limo rental guide covers events, nights out and packages beyond the airport.
Families and travellers who need extra help
Families arriving at YYC after a long flight are where a booked car makes the biggest difference. Child seats are fitted before pickup when you give each child's age and weight, and a business SUV leaves room for seats, a stroller and a week of luggage together. For travellers who need help with mobility, tell the desk when you book; the chauffeur meets you inside arrivals rather than at the curb, and the vehicle class can be chosen for easier access. Elderly relatives travelling alone can be met with a name board and walked to the car, and the family receives the chauffeur's details in advance.

Frequently asked questions
Where does a limo driver meet you at YYC?
Inside the arrivals hall, with a name board, after baggage claim and, on international flights, customs. The chauffeur tracks the flight, so an early or late landing is handled, and complimentary waiting starts after a tracked landing. You do not need to go to a door number.
How much is a limo from YYC to downtown Calgary?
On Elly8.net, US$105 in a business sedan, US$140 in a business SUV, US$170 in a first class SUV, US$185 in a first class sedan and US$275 in an Executive Sprinter, fixed and all-in. A round trip booked together starts at US$200. Stretch limousines are priced in the web booker.
What size car do we need for golf clubs or skis?
A business SUV takes up to six passengers and six bags, which fits two travellers with clubs or skis and suitcases. A sedan takes two bags. For a group of seven to twelve with gear, book an Executive Sprinter, which takes twelve passengers and twelve bags.
Is a taxi cheaper than a limo from YYC?
For one or two people with light bags, usually yes. The airport puts the metered taxi fare to downtown at about C$40 to C$45 in normal conditions. A booked car costs more and guarantees the vehicle, the chauffeur inside arrivals and a fixed price.
How early should you book for the Calgary Stampede?
As early as you can. The 2027 Stampede runs from July 9 to 18, and cars across the city are in heavy demand all week. Book the YYC transfer and evening cars together. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup.
What if my flight is delayed?
The desk tracks the flight and moves the pickup to the actual landing time. Complimentary waiting starts after a tracked landing. If a flight is cancelled, contact the desk to rebook; cancellation charges follow the published terms.
