A San Diego wedding limo is rarely one car. Most wedding days need a vehicle for the couple, one for the wedding party, and often a shuttle for guests staying at two or three hotels, all timed to arrive at the ceremony before the music starts. Through Elly8.net, the couple's car is usually a First Class Sedan at US$160 an hour, a stretch limousine or Rolls-Royce from the web booker, and the guest shuttle an Executive Sprinter at US$200 an hour, each with a 3-hour minimum and fixed, all-in pricing.
The order of planning matters: write the timeline first, then choose the vehicles, then the hours. This guide follows that order, with a sample San Diego wedding day, a vehicle-by-job table, a costed example and the questions to settle before you sign.
What does a wedding limo cost in San Diego?
For a San Diego wedding through Elly8.net, a First Class Sedan for the couple is US$160 an hour, a Business SUV for parents US$125 an hour and an Executive Sprinter guest shuttle US$200 an hour, each with a 3-hour minimum. Full-day bookings run US$1,180 and US$1,475. Stretch limousines and Rolls-Royce are quoted in the web booker.
All prices are per vehicle and include the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity; tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. A First Class SUV is US$150 an hour, and the full-day chauffeur is US$920 in a Business SUV and US$1,105 in a First Class SUV.

Start with the timeline
The schedule decides the vehicles and the hours. Here is a typical San Diego wedding with the getting-ready rooms at a downtown hotel, a ceremony on the coast and a reception at a second venue. Adjust the times to yours.
| Time | What happens | Vehicle |
|---|---|---|
| 1:00 p.m. | Chauffeur arrives at the getting-ready hotel; photos with the car | Couple's car |
| 2:15 p.m. | Wedding party leaves for the ceremony | Executive Sprinter or stretch limousine |
| 2:30 p.m. | Couple leaves separately | Couple's car |
| 3:00 p.m. | Ceremony | Vehicles wait |
| 3:45 p.m. | Photos at a second location | Couple's car, wedding party vehicle |
| 4:00 p.m. | Guest shuttle from ceremony to reception | Executive Sprinter loop |
| 5:30 p.m. | Reception begins | Couple's car released or waiting |
| 10:30 p.m. | Guest shuttle back to the hotels | Executive Sprinter loop |
| 11:00 p.m. | Couple's send-off | Couple's car |
Two practical points come out of any timeline:
- The couple's car often has a gap. If nothing happens between 5:30 p.m. and the send-off at 11:00 p.m., it is usually cheaper to release the car after the photos and book a separate pickup for the end of the night than to pay for five hours of waiting.
- The guest shuttle works in two blocks. The afternoon move to the reception and the late return to the hotels are separate jobs. Book them as two shuttles rather than one long day, unless the hotels are far apart and the Sprinter is needed throughout.
Vehicle choices, by job
| Job | Vehicle | Capacity | San Diego price |
|---|---|---|---|
| The couple | First Class Sedan (S-Class or similar) | 3 passengers | US$160 an hour |
| The couple, statement arrival | Rolls-Royce or Mercedes-Maybach | 2 passengers | Web booker |
| Bridal party together | Stretch Limousine | up to 8 | Web booker |
| Large wedding party | Stretch SUV Limousine | up to 16 | Web booker |
| Wedding party or guest shuttle | Executive Sprinter | up to 12, with 12 bags | US$200 an hour |
| Parents and grandparents | Business SUV or First Class SUV | up to 6 | US$125 or US$150 an hour |
Capacities come from the fleet page. The Sprinter is the workhorse of San Diego weddings because it does two jobs: it carries the wedding party in the afternoon and then runs the guest loop in the evening. The stretch limousine and Rolls-Royce are about the photographs and the arrival. Our wedding limousine and guest shuttles page explains how multi-vehicle wedding bookings run, and the San Diego Sprinter van guide compares one Sprinter against two SUVs.
Where San Diego weddings happen, and what that means for transport
San Diego's venues are spread across the county, and the distances between them shape the hours.
- Coronado. The island's beaches and hotels are a classic setting. The bridge crossing each way adds time; build it into both the arrival and the guest return.
- La Jolla. Cliffs, coves and beach venues, with narrow streets and scarce parking. The chauffeur will usually set a drop-off point and wait close by rather than park at the door. The La Jolla visitor guide is useful for venue research.
- Balboa Park. Gardens and historic buildings in the middle of the city; Balboa Park is large, so tell the desk which entrance or garden the ceremony uses.
- Downtown and the bayfront. Hotel ballrooms and waterfront venues, with the Gaslamp's restaurants for rehearsal dinners. On convention weeks and Petco Park game nights the surrounding streets slow, so check the dates.
- Rancho Santa Fe and Del Mar. Estates, resorts and coastal venues in North County, a longer drive from downtown hotels.
- Temecula wine country. Winery weddings inland in Riverside County. Guests usually stay locally or need a long shuttle; Temecula Valley Winegrowers lists the member wineries.
If guests are staying downtown and the wedding is in North County or Temecula, the shuttle becomes a full-day job. The full-day chauffeur in an Executive Sprinter is US$1,475, the same as the 8-hour Temecula Valley wineries package.
A costed example
A wedding with getting-ready rooms downtown, a ceremony and reception on the coast, 10 people in the wedding party and 40 guests staying at two hotels:
- Couple's car: First Class Sedan, 4 hours from getting ready to the end of photos: US$640. A separate send-off pickup later in the evening, 3-hour minimum: US$480. Or keep one car all day with the full-day chauffeur at US$1,180.
- Wedding party: Executive Sprinter, 3 hours for the move to the ceremony and photos: US$600.
- Guest shuttle: Executive Sprinter running loops, 3 hours in the afternoon and 3 hours late evening: US$600 and US$600. For 40 guests, a second Sprinter on the busiest loop halves the waiting.
- Parents: Business SUV, 3 hours: US$375.
That is roughly US$3,300 to US$3,900 depending on choices, every line fixed in advance. Stretch limousines, the stretch SUV and a Rolls-Royce for the couple are quoted in the web booker and can be swapped into the plan.
Out-of-town guests and destination weddings
Many San Diego weddings are destination weddings, with guests flying into San Diego International Airport (SAN). SAN is about 3 mi (6 km) from the Gaslamp, and the fixed fare to the Gaslamp is US$125 in a Business Sedan, US$165 in a Business SUV and US$325 in an Executive Sprinter, the same in either direction. The chauffeur tracks each flight and meets guests inside arrivals with a name board. For a wedding weekend, the desk can run a schedule of airport pickups on one booking. Guests flying privately into McClellan-Palomar Airport (CRQ) in Carlsbad are covered by private jet and FBO car service.
Dates to watch
Wedding season and the convention calendar overlap. Comic-Con 2027 runs July 22 to 25, with Preview Night on July 21, according to Comic-Con International. That week fills downtown hotels and slows the streets around the convention centre and the Gaslamp; a downtown wedding that weekend needs early vehicle bookings and generous timings. Saturdays in spring and summer are also prom and graduation nights, when stretch limousines and party buses are in demand.
The rehearsal dinner and the day after
Wedding transport does not stop at the reception. Two more bookings come up at almost every San Diego wedding:
- The rehearsal dinner. Usually the evening before, often in the Gaslamp, Little Italy or La Jolla. The evening out and event night package covers it at a fixed price: US$500 in a Business Sedan, US$750 in a First Class SUV or US$1,000 in an Executive Sprinter for the wedding party.
- The farewell brunch and airport runs. The morning after, guests head to brunch and then to the airport. A Sprinter by the hour can loop between the hotels and the brunch venue, and the airport legs are fixed: US$125 in a Business Sedan or US$325 in an Executive Sprinter from the Gaslamp to SAN.
Couples heading straight off on honeymoon can book the airport car on the same reservation as the send-off. If the honeymoon starts in another city, our city to city car service prices the long drive, for example up the coast to Santa Barbara, as one fixed fare.
Questions to settle before you sign
- Is the price per vehicle and fixed? With Elly8.net it is, including gratuity and taxes; tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost.
- When does the clock start? At the first pickup, not when the car leaves a garage.
- What is the overtime rate? Agree it in advance; receptions run late.
- Who operates the vehicle? Rides in San Diego are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. In California, charter carriers are licensed by the CPUC and should display a TCP number.
- How old is the car? Partner vehicles are 4 model years old or newer, and 7 or newer for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley.
- What are the rules on board? The chauffeur follows local rules on alcohol in the vehicle; plan any toast at the venue.
- What is the cancellation policy? Free more than 72 hours before pickup, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show, with refunds to the original card.
For a bachelor or bachelorette night before the wedding, see the San Diego limo bus guide. For younger family members' events, the San Diego prom limo checklist covers student nights.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a wedding limo in San Diego?
A First Class Sedan for the couple is US$160 an hour and an Executive Sprinter for the wedding party or guests is US$200 an hour, each with a 3-hour minimum. Full days run US$1,180 and US$1,475. Stretch limousines, the stretch SUV limousine and Rolls-Royce are quoted in the web booker.
How many hours should we book the wedding car?
Count from the first pickup to the last drop-off you need. For the couple, that is often getting ready to the end of photos, around four hours, with a separate pickup for the send-off. Guest shuttles usually work best as two blocks, afternoon and late evening.
What vehicle should carry the wedding party?
For up to 8, a stretch limousine; for up to 12 with bags and dresses, an Executive Sprinter; for up to 16, a stretch SUV limousine. The Sprinter can carry the wedding party in the afternoon and then run the guest shuttle in the evening.
Can you shuttle guests from several hotels?
Yes. Send the desk the hotel addresses and guest counts, and an Executive Sprinter, or two for a large guest list, runs timed loops to the ceremony and reception and back at the end of the night. Several vehicles can run on one booking.
How far ahead should we book wedding transport?
As soon as the date and venues are set, especially for Saturdays in spring and summer and for Comic-Con week in late July. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup, so an early booking keeps your options open while plans settle.
Can we have champagne in the wedding car?
The chauffeur follows local rules on alcohol in the vehicle, which differ by place and by vehicle type. Plan the toast at the venue or during photos, and let the car carry the couple. The desk can confirm what is possible when you book.
