A Key West party bus is a different booking from a party bus in Miami or Las Vegas. The island is small, Old Town's streets are narrow and lined with guesthouses, and the city discourages large vehicles in the historic district. For most groups of 7 to 12, the vehicle that works best is a 12-seat Executive Sprinter, which Elly8.net prices at US$200 an hour (3-hour minimum) or US$1,000 for the evening out and event night package, per vehicle and all-in.
Classic party buses with perimeter seating and lighting, stretch limousines and stretch SUVs are quoted in the web booker for your date, because what local partners can supply on the island varies week to week. This guide covers the sizes, the street rules that shape where any group vehicle can stop, a realistic budget, and the questions that prevent surprises on the night.
How much does a party bus cost in Key West?
On Elly8.net, the fixed-price group vehicle in Key West is the 12-seat Executive Sprinter: US$200 an hour with a 3-hour minimum (from US$600), or US$1,000 for the evening out package. Party buses and stretch limousines are quoted in the web booker for your date. Every price is per vehicle and includes taxes and standard gratuity.
The Key West price list also covers smaller groups. A Business SUV for up to six people is US$125 an hour and US$625 for the evening package; a First Class SUV is US$150 an hour and US$750 for the evening. A Business Sedan for two or three is US$100 an hour or US$500 for the evening. The full grid is on the Key West fares panel.

Prices include the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity. Parking and waiting beyond the booked time are billed at cost. Rides in Key West are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
Sizes: match the vehicle to the group and to Old Town
Count heads first, then think about where the vehicle has to stop. A guesthouse on a residential lane in Old Town is a very different pickup from a resort driveway on Stock Island.
| Group | Vehicle | Seats (fleet page) | How it is priced | Works best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 to 3 | Business or First Class Sedan | up to 3 | Key West price list, from US$100 an hour | Anniversary dinner, a couple's night |
| 4 to 6 | Business SUV or First Class SUV | up to 6 | Key West price list, from US$125 an hour | Small birthdays, dinner and Duval Street |
| 7 to 8 | Stretch Limousine | up to 8 | Web booker | Photos and the classic arrival |
| 7 to 12 | Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | Key West price list, US$200 an hour | Bachelorettes, wedding parties, sunset plans |
| 9 to 12 | Party Bus | up to 12 | Web booker | Groups who want the vehicle to be the party |
| 13 to 16 | Stretch SUV Limousine | up to 16 | Web booker, subject to availability | Larger celebrations |
| 17 and up | Two vehicles | varies | Price list plus web booker | Wedding guests, big birthday weekends |
The fleet page lists seats and luggage space for every class. Elly8.net does not promise a vehicle size before a partner has confirmed it for your date; on an island this small, the desk will tell you plainly if a large bus is not available and offer two Sprinters or a Sprinter and an SUV instead.
Party bus or Sprinter? A party bus is built as a lounge, with sideways seating, lighting and a sound system. An Executive Sprinter has forward-facing seats, a high roof and a calmer cabin, and its price is fixed on the published list. In Key West, where most rides are five to fifteen minutes long, the vehicle is more often the way between places than the place itself, so many groups pick the Sprinter. Our party bus rental and Sprinter van with driver pages compare the two in detail.
Street rules that shape every Key West group booking
This is the part most out-of-town planners miss. Key West actively encourages visitors to leave cars behind, and large vehicles face real limits in the historic core.
During Fantasy Fest, the festival's parking and transportation guidance states that oversized vehicles such as RVs, tour buses and motor homes are not permitted to travel within the Old Town and downtown area, and that a city ordinance prohibits parking oversized vehicles on city streets. Tour buses are directed to free 15-minute drop-off and pick-up zones on the 1000 block of Simonton Street and at 908 Caroline Street, and must leave the historic district after discharging passengers. Taxis and rideshare drivers are asked to stay at or east of Simonton Street for pickups. The same guidance notes that almost every downtown destination is less than a 15-minute walk from another.
What that means in practice:
- Agree a meeting point, not a doorstep. On busy nights the chauffeur stops at the closest legal point and the group walks the last block or two. Pick the corner when you book.
- Smaller vehicles get closer. A Sprinter or SUV can usually reach more guesthouse lanes than a full-size bus. If your group is split across three inns in Old Town, two SUVs may be faster than one large vehicle.
- Stock Island and New Town are easier. Resorts and marinas on the eastern side of the island and on Stock Island have driveways that suit larger vehicles.
- Plan around sunset. Mallory Square fills at sunset, so a pickup a few blocks away is calmer than trying to stop at the square itself.
Fantasy Fest's published future dates are October 22 to 31, 2027, and October 20 to 29, 2028. If your celebration falls in festival week, book early and expect drop-offs at agreed points outside the busiest streets.
Hours: how a Key West night really adds up
Distances on the island are short; the time goes on pickups, dinners and waiting. Key West International Airport (EYW) to Old Town is under 2 mi (about 2 km), roughly 8 minutes on a clear road, and most island rides are similar. Build the night backwards from the plan:
- Pickups: collecting 10 people from two guesthouses and a hotel takes 20 to 40 minutes, not five.
- Sunset and dinner: two hours at a waterfront table is two hours of the vehicle waiting, and waiting is part of an hourly booking.
- The main event: a bar crawl on Duval Street, a private party or a show can run three hours with arrivals and departures.
- Drop-offs: the last run after midnight, to several addresses on narrow streets, takes longer than anyone expects.
On the hourly list, an Executive Sprinter costs US$600 for three hours, US$800 for four and US$1,000 for five. At five hours the evening out and event night package, also US$1,000, becomes the simpler choice, because the price stays fixed however long dinner runs. For a full wedding day, the full-day chauffeur is US$1,475 in a Sprinter and US$920 in a Business SUV.
Arithmetic for comparison only: a Sprinter on the US$1,000 evening package shared by ten friends works out at US$100 each. The price itself is always per vehicle, never per person; the figure is just to compare with other ways of getting around.
Taxis, Key West Rides or a booked vehicle?
Key West is honest territory for alternatives, and for a lot of trips you do not need a booked vehicle at all.
Taxis. The airport's taxi page sets fare maximums from EYW for multiple passengers by zone: US$9 per person to Zone 1 (all areas west of White Street, which covers most of Old Town), US$8 to Zone 2, US$7 to Zone 3 and US$8 to Stock Island and Key Haven. Single passengers pay the meter, starting at US$3.95. For a group of ten heading to Old Town from the airport, that is roughly US$90 spread across several cabs, against US$340 for one Executive Sprinter with a chauffeur meeting you in arrivals.
Rideshare. The airport says Uber and Lyft pick up along the blue curb outside and to the right of the arrivals and baggage claim area, according to its ride share page. In town, app rides work for twos and threes; a group of twelve needs three or four cars arriving at once.
Key West Rides. The city's app-based shared on-demand bus runs from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily across one zone that includes Stock Island, picking up and dropping off at bus stops, per the City of Key West. It is a sensible daytime option and does not run late at night.
Walking, bikes and pedicabs. For Old Town itself, often the best answer.
When the booked vehicle wins: after 8 p.m., for a group that wants to stay together, for wedding timelines, for guests who cannot walk far, and when the plan includes Stock Island or a resort on the far side of the island. See chauffeur vs taxi for the general comparison.
A planning timeline that avoids surprises
Six to eight weeks out. Fix the date, the head count and a rough plan. For festival weeks, holidays and wedding season, this is the point to reserve. Send the desk the addresses where people are staying.
Four weeks out. Choose the vehicle. If the group is 8 to 12, compare one Sprinter against a party bus quote in the web booker. If people are flying in, add their EYW arrivals as separate airport transfers with flight numbers so each one is tracked.
One week out. Confirm the timeline: first pickup, dinner reservation, any stops, last drop-off. Agree the meeting corners for Old Town. Add child seats if any younger guests are coming.
The day before. Check the weather, the final head count and the bag situation. Share the chauffeur's details with whoever is organising the group.
Cancellation, so nobody is caught out. Free more than 72 hours before pickup; 10% at 72 hours or less; 50% at 48 hours or less; 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show, refunded to the original card. See the cancellation policy.
Questions to ask before you sign with anyone
Whoever you book, these questions protect the night:
- Is the price per vehicle and all-in? Ask whether taxes, gratuity and fuel are included, and how parking and overtime are billed. On Elly8.net the price is per vehicle with taxes and standard gratuity included; parking and waiting beyond the booking are billed at cost.
- Which exact vehicle, and how old is it? Elly8.net partner vehicles are four model years old or newer (seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley).
- Is the operator licensed and commercially insured? Ask, and do not accept vague answers. Elly8.net partners are licensed and commercially insured and vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network.
- Where can the vehicle actually stop? Given the Old Town limits, ask how pickups at your guesthouse will work.
- What are the rules on board? Rules on alcohol and conduct differ by place; the chauffeur follows local rules, and you should ask before assuming anything.
- What happens if the plan changes on the night? Know how extra time is billed before the night starts.
Weddings, bachelorettes and birthdays
Weddings. A typical Key West wedding needs three movements: guests from guesthouses to the ceremony, the couple and family to photos at sunset, and everyone to the reception and home. One Sprinter on loops plus a sedan for the couple covers most guest lists of 20 to 30. See wedding limousine and guest shuttles and group transportation.
Bachelorettes and birthdays. The usual night is sunset, dinner, Duval Street, and a late run back. A Sprinter on the evening package keeps the group together and the cost fixed. For a party-bus-style night elsewhere, our Atlantic City party bus guide walks through the hours on a casino weekend, and for a Caribbean add-on, see the Puerto Rico private driver guide.
The airport end. Groups flying in together are best met by one Executive Sprinter: EYW to Old Town is US$340, the same fixed price in either direction for the return. Groups driving down from Miami can book the Overseas Highway leg as a city to city car service; Miami to Key West is about 158 mi (254 km), roughly four hours without stops.

Frequently asked questions
How many people fit in a Key West party bus?
On the Elly8.net fleet page, a party bus seats up to 12 and an Executive Sprinter up to 12 with luggage space, while a stretch SUV limousine seats up to 16. Larger groups usually book two vehicles. Availability on the island varies by date, so the desk confirms the exact vehicle before you pay.
Can a party bus pick us up at our guesthouse in Old Town?
Often, but not always at the door. Old Town lanes are narrow and the city limits large vehicles in the historic district, especially during festivals. The chauffeur stops at the closest legal point, and on busy nights the desk agrees a nearby corner with you in advance. Sprinters and SUVs reach more addresses than full-size buses.
Is it cheaper to take taxis?
For a short ride, often yes. From the airport, taxis charge zone maximums such as US$9 per person to Old Town west of White Street. A booked Sprinter costs more but keeps twelve people together, meets you inside arrivals and stays with you all evening on an hourly or evening booking. Choose by the night you want.
How far ahead should we book for Fantasy Fest?
As early as possible. Fantasy Fest's published 2027 dates are October 22 to 31, and street closures move pickups to agreed points outside the busiest blocks. Airport transfers and evening vehicles for festival week are among the first to go, so reserving months ahead is sensible for groups.
Is gratuity included?
Yes. Elly8.net prices include taxes and standard gratuity, with the chauffeur and vehicle. Parking and waiting beyond the booked time are billed at cost. If you are comparing with another operator, ask whether their quote includes gratuity, fuel and taxes before you compare totals.
What if our dinner runs late?
On an hourly booking, extra time is billed at the hourly rate. If you expect a long evening, the evening out and event night package fixes the price for the ride to dinner and the event, the wait and the ride back, which is often simpler than adding hours on the night.
