A Vancouver party bus is a chauffeured vehicle that keeps your whole group together for a night out, a birthday, a stag or stagette, a game at Rogers Arena or BC Place, or a run up the Sea-to-Sky Highway. On Elly8.net, an Executive Sprinter carries up to 12 people with an evening out and event night package from US$1,100 for the vehicle, and party buses, stretch limousines and stretch SUVs are quoted in the web booker for your date and route.
The surprises people complain about after a party bus night are almost always the same: the vehicle was smaller than promised, the clock ran past the booked hours, a cleaning charge appeared, or a group with under-19s was told at the door that the rules had not been met. This guide, written by the Elly8.net reservations desk, covers each one, including British Columbia's specific rule for minors on perimeter-seating buses.
How much does a party bus cost in Vancouver?
On Elly8.net, an Executive Sprinter for up to 12 is US$220 per hour with a 3-hour minimum, or US$1,100 for the evening out and event night package. A Business SUV for up to 6 is US$140 per hour. Party buses, stretch limousines and stretch SUVs are quoted per vehicle in the web booker for your date.
Every Elly8.net price is per vehicle, never per person. As arithmetic for comparison only, the US$1,100 Sprinter evening shared by 12 people works out to about US$92 each, and the 3-hour Sprinter minimum of US$660 to about US$55 each. The fare includes the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity; tolls, parking and waiting beyond the booked time are billed at cost.
In British Columbia, limousine and other passenger-directed vehicle operators must charge rates approved by the Passenger Transportation Board, and the Board says operators must tell customers what the rates and charges will be before the trip starts. That rule is your friend: get the full price in writing before you pay a deposit.

Sizes: which vehicle fits your group
Start with the head count, then add coats, bags and anything bulky. The capacities below are from our fleet page.
| Vehicle | Seats | Bags | Good for | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Business SUV | up to 6 | 6 | Small birthdays, couples' nights, airport plus dinner | US$140/h, 3-hour minimum |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | 12 | Game nights, stagettes, wine days, Whistler runs | US$220/h or US$1,100 evening package |
| Stretch limousine | up to 8 | 2 | Weddings, proms, a classic arrival | Web booker |
| Party bus | up to 12 | 2 | Birthdays, concerts, nights out | Web booker |
| Stretch SUV limousine | up to 16 | 2 | Bigger celebrations | Web booker |
Three points help the choice.
Party atmosphere or practical transport. A party bus or a stretch SUV has perimeter seating, lighting and sound, and feels like part of the night. An Executive Sprinter has forward-facing seats and high headroom, and also handles luggage, ski gear and a trip to Whistler. For a night that starts with an airport pickup or ends at a hotel with bags, the Sprinter is often the better tool.
Over 12 people. Book two vehicles rather than squeezing. Two Sprinters travelling together are easier to load, park and unload than one oversized vehicle on downtown streets, and the group can split by pickup or drop-off point.
Larger buses. Partners may have larger buses on some dates. Enter the group size in the web booker or ask the 24/7 desk and we will tell you what can be confirmed before you pay.
British Columbia's rule for groups with under-19s
This is the rule most likely to catch out a graduation, sweet sixteen or youth sports booking. The Passenger Transportation Board defines a perimeter seating bus as a vehicle with perimeter seating for 12 or more passengers, giving limousines, party buses and stretch SUVs as examples. Its safety monitor page says:
- A safety monitor must be on board when unaccompanied minors are riding. A minor is anyone under 19.
- Legal guardians must give consent for unaccompanied minors to ride.
- The safety monitor must be at least 25, must not be the driver, must hold current first aid certification and must have passed a criminal record check, and must be employed or retained by the licensed operator.
In practice, if anyone in the group is under 19 and no parent or guardian is riding, tell the desk at the time of booking. We confirm with the partner that a qualified monitor is assigned and that the consent paperwork is ready, or we recommend a forward-seating Executive Sprinter instead. Leaving this to the night of the event is how groups end up stranded on a driveway. For graduation season, our prom limousine page has more planning detail.
Whatever the group's age, the chauffeur follows local rules on alcohol, and our bookings do not include drinking in the vehicle. Plan the celebrating for the venue.
A planning timeline that avoids surprises
Eight to twelve weeks out. For Saturdays in June, graduation weekends, December party season and nights when Rogers Arena and BC Place both have events, book early. Confirm the head count range, the date and the rough start and finish times.
Four weeks out. Fix the route: pickup addresses, the restaurant, the venue, any second stop and the drop-off points. Several pickups across Vancouver, Burnaby and the North Shore add time, and bridge traffic is the main variable. Each extra stop goes into the quote.
One week out. Confirm final numbers, names of anyone under 19, the lead contact's phone and the agreed pickup corner after the event. Downtown venues empty all at once; an agreed corner a block or two away saves half an hour.
On the night. Keep the lead contact's phone charged. The chauffeur will message when the vehicle is in position.
Venues and nights that shape a Vancouver booking
Game and concert nights. Rogers Arena is home to the Canucks and hosts major concerts, and BC Place next door is home to the BC Lions and the Vancouver Whitecaps. When both have events, the streets around Pacific Boulevard and Expo Boulevard slow for an hour either side. The chauffeur drops at the closest practical point and meets you at an agreed corner afterwards. See sports event transportation and concert transportation.
Restaurants and clubs downtown. Gastown's cobbled streets and tight curbs, Yaletown's one-way blocks and Granville Street on a Saturday night all limit where a large vehicle can stop. The desk agrees a pickup corner when a venue has no driveway, and a Sprinter fits more places than a long stretch vehicle.
Up the Sea-to-Sky. A birthday weekend in Whistler is a natural Sprinter booking: the 10-hour Sea-to-Sky Highway day trip is priced from US$1,015 in a Business Sedan to US$2,025 in an Executive Sprinter, and one-way YVR to Whistler starts at US$370. In season the vehicle must meet British Columbia's winter tire rules on the signed highway. See Whistler car service.
Weddings. If the party bus is really for the wedding party, our Vancouver wedding limo timelines guide covers ceremony timing, photo stops and guest shuttles.
A sample game night for 12
Here is how the desk would plan a Saturday birthday for 12 friends with dinner in Yaletown and a Canucks game at Rogers Arena.
- 5:00 p.m. Executive Sprinter collects the group from two pickup points, one in the West End and one in Kitsilano.
- 5:45 p.m. Drop-off at the restaurant in Yaletown. The chauffeur waits nearby.
- 6:45 p.m. Short run to Rogers Arena, dropping at the closest practical point before the crowds build.
- 10:30 p.m. Pickup at the agreed corner a block from the arena after the game.
- 11:15 p.m. Drop-offs at the same two addresses.
The desk would quote a plan like this as the evening out and event night package, US$1,100 for the Executive Sprinter (about US$92 each as arithmetic for 12), with the second pickup point confirmed in the quote before you pay. If the night runs longer, extra time is billed at cost, and the chauffeur tells the lead contact before the booked time ends.
Questions to ask before you sign
Whether you book with us or anyone else, ask these and get the answers in writing.
- Is the operator licensed? In British Columbia, commercial passenger vehicles require a passenger transportation licence under the Passenger Transportation Act, as the provincial government explains.
- What is the total price, and what is it per? Per vehicle, per hour or per person can all be legal in BC. Elly8.net prices are per vehicle.
- When does the clock start and stop? Garage to garage, or first pickup to last drop-off? What is the overtime rate, and is it billed in full hours?
- What vehicle exactly, and how many seats? A photo of a different bus is not a commitment.
- What is the cleaning or damage policy?
- Are there under-19s? If yes, who provides the safety monitor and the consent forms?
- What happens if we cancel? Elly8.net's terms are fixed: free more than 72 hours before pickup, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show, refunded to the original card.
Rides in Vancouver are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer.
Party bus, Sprinter or several taxis?
For a group of 10 going from a Yaletown apartment to a downtown restaurant and home again, three or four taxis or app rides may cost less than a chauffeured vehicle for the evening, and that is fine if nobody minds splitting up and waiting at the curb at closing time. The chauffeured vehicle wins when the group wants to arrive together, when there are several stops, when the night ends at a busy venue, or when anyone needs a guaranteed ride home. Our comparisons of chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft and black car vs limousine go into the trade-offs.
How to book

Frequently asked questions
How many people fit in a Vancouver party bus?
Our party bus class seats up to 12, as does an Executive Sprinter, and a stretch SUV limousine seats up to 16. For bigger groups, book two vehicles, which is often easier on downtown streets. Larger buses may be available from partners on some dates; ask the desk.
Do we need a safety monitor for a graduation group?
If anyone under 19 is riding without a parent or guardian on a vehicle with perimeter seating for 12 or more, British Columbia's Passenger Transportation Board requires a qualified safety monitor and guardian consent. Tell us at booking so it is arranged, or choose a forward-seating Executive Sprinter.
Are prices per person or per vehicle?
Elly8.net prices are always per vehicle. An Executive Sprinter evening is US$1,100 for the vehicle, which, as arithmetic only, is about US$92 each for 12 people. BC allows operators to charge in other ways, so always ask what a quote is based on. The same applies whichever vehicle you choose.
Can we drink on the party bus?
The chauffeur follows local rules on alcohol, and we do not plan for drinking in the vehicle. Keep the celebrating at the restaurant, bar or venue. Ask the desk if you have questions about a specific booking, and tell us if anyone in the group is under 19 so the right rules are applied.
What happens after the game or concert?
The chauffeur drops you at the closest practical point and meets you at an agreed corner afterwards, usually a block or two from the venue doors, which saves time when Rogers Arena and BC Place empty together. Share the lead contact's phone number before the night.
How far ahead should we book?
Eight to twelve weeks ahead for June Saturdays, graduation weekends, December and major event nights; two to four weeks is often enough at other times. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup, and the final head count is confirmed a week out.
