A Providence party bus booking is decided by three things: the real head count, the number of hours the night will actually run, and whether you want a bus that is part of the party or a 12-seat vehicle that simply gets everyone there together. On Elly8.net, party buses are priced in the web booker for your exact addresses, date and hours, and the fixed-price alternative, an Executive Sprinter for up to 12, costs US$190 an hour in Providence with a 3-hour minimum, all-in for the vehicle.
Providence is a compact city, so most nights out are short drives between long stops: dinner on Federal Hill, a show at the Providence Performing Arts Center, a game or concert at the Amica Mutual Pavilion, a WaterFire evening on the rivers. The bigger trips are out of town, to Newport or the vineyards. Rides in Providence are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
How much does a party bus cost in Providence?
A Providence party bus is priced in the Elly8.net web booker for your route, date and hours, with the driver, taxes and standard gratuity included. The fixed-price alternative is a 12-seat Executive Sprinter at US$190 an hour (3-hour minimum), or US$950 on the evening out and event night package, per vehicle.
Party buses are not on our fixed city price lists because the vehicles vary more than any other class: layouts, lighting and sound systems differ from one partner to the next, and a five-hour Saturday in June is a different job from a three-hour Thursday in March. The booker asks for every pickup and stop for that reason. The price it shows is the price you pay, with tolls and parking billed at cost.

Step one: match the head count to a vehicle
Count the people who will actually ride, including anyone joining after dinner. Then pick from the classes on our fleet page:
| Group | Vehicle | Seats | How it is priced in Providence | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 to 3 | Business or First Class Sedan | up to 3 | US$95 or US$155 an hour | anniversary dinner, a couple's night |
| 4 to 6 | Business or First Class SUV | up to 6 | US$120 or US$145 an hour | small birthdays, double dates |
| 7 to 8 | Stretch Limousine | up to 8 | web booker | proms, the classic limo photo |
| 9 to 12 | Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | US$190 an hour | games, concerts, Newport, wine days |
| 9 to 12 | Party Bus | up to 12 | web booker | birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette nights |
| 13 to 16 | Stretch SUV Limousine | up to 16 | web booker | bigger celebrations |
| 17 and up | two vehicles, or a larger bus on request | varies | booker and desk | big parties, team nights |
Hourly rates have a 3-hour minimum. If your group is between sizes, size up: twelve people in a twelve-seat vehicle is full, and full means no room for coats, gift bags or the friend who brings a plus-one.
Party bus or Sprinter? A party bus has perimeter seating, lighting and a sound system, so the ride is part of the night. The Executive Sprinter has forward-facing seats, a high roof and a quieter cabin, and it is on the fixed Providence price list. For a concert, a game or a Newport day where the vehicle is mainly transport, many groups prefer the Sprinter. Our party bus rental and Sprinter van with driver pages go into more detail.
One vehicle or two? For 8 to 12 people who may split up later, two business SUVs at US$120 an hour each cost US$240 an hour together, more than one Sprinter, but half the group can head home early.
Step two: build the hours around the night
Booking the minimum and then running over is the most common mistake. Work backward from the end of the night:
- Pickups. Three pickup addresses across the East Side, Cranston and Pawtucket can take most of the first hour.
- Dinner. Two hours at a Federal Hill restaurant is two hours of the vehicle waiting outside, and that is part of the booking.
- The main event. A show at the Providence Performing Arts Center, a Providence Bruins game or a concert at the Amica Mutual Pavilion is about three hours including getting in and out.
- Drop-offs. Twelve people going home to six addresses takes longer than anyone expects.
| Hours | Executive Sprinter, hourly | Divided by 12 guests, for comparison only | Business SUV, hourly | Divided by 6 guests, for comparison only |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 hours (minimum) | US$570 | US$47.50 | US$360 | US$60 |
| 4 hours | US$760 | about US$63 | US$480 | US$80 |
| 5 hours | US$950 | about US$79 | US$600 | US$100 |
| 6 hours | US$1,140 | US$95 | US$720 | US$120 |
The prices are for the vehicle, never per person; the divided columns are arithmetic to help a group split the bill. The evening out and event night package covers a typical five-hour night for US$950 in an Executive Sprinter, US$600 in a business SUV or US$475 in a business sedan, and for a long night it is the simpler line to book. Time beyond the booked hours is billed at the hourly rate.
Step three: plan the route for Providence nights
Federal Hill and downtown. Atwells Avenue is the dinner street, and downtown has the theatre, the arena and the bars along the river. Parking is the reason groups stop driving. The chauffeur drops at the door and waits nearby.
WaterFire. On lighting nights the streets around the river basin fill with people. Check the WaterFire schedule, then agree a pickup point a short walk from the basin rather than trying to collect twelve people from the busiest corner in the city.
The arena and PPAC. The Amica Mutual Pavilion hosts the Providence Bruins, Providence College basketball and concerts, and the Providence Performing Arts Center hosts touring shows. After the show, every car in downtown moves at once, so the pickup point matters more than the vehicle. See concert transportation.
Newport and the vineyards. For a bachelorette or birthday day trip, the 5-hour Newport day from Providence starts at US$875 in an Executive Sprinter and US$555 in a business SUV. Bridge tolls are billed at cost, and the Discover Newport tourism site lists what is on. Wine days work best with a car waiting between tastings; see wine country tours. A full-day chauffeur starts at US$1,400 in a Sprinter.
A sample Saturday: ten friends, one birthday
Here is how a typical booking comes together, so you can see where the hours go.
- 6:00 pm. The Sprinter collects the first four guests on the East Side, then three in Cranston and the last three downtown. Pickups take about 50 minutes.
- 7:00 pm. Dinner on Federal Hill. The chauffeur drops at the door and waits nearby for two hours.
- 9:00 pm. A short hop downtown for a show or a bar the group has booked, with the chauffeur staged a block away.
- 11:00 pm. Drop-offs begin, in reverse order, finishing around midnight.
That is a six-hour night. On the hourly rate it costs US$1,140 for the Executive Sprinter; on the evening out and event night package the first five hours are US$950 and the extra hour is US$190, the same US$1,140 in total. Divided by ten guests it is about US$114 each, as arithmetic for comparison only. Trim the pickups to one meeting point and the same night fits in five hours.
Step four: the planning timeline
- Eight to twelve weeks out for a June wedding weekend, a prom night or Commencement weekend at Brown and RISD, when larger vehicles go first.
- Four to six weeks out for a Saturday birthday or bachelorette night in peak season.
- Two weeks out to confirm the final head count, pickup order and timings.
- Three days out is the last point before the cancellation charge steps up: free more than 72 hours before pickup, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. Refunds go to the original card.
- On the day, keep one organiser's phone as the contact for the chauffeur.
Questions to ask before you sign anything
Whoever you book with, these questions separate a smooth night from a stressful one:
- Is the price all-in? Ours includes the chauffeur, taxes and standard gratuity. Elsewhere, ask about fuel surcharges, gratuity added at the end and cleaning fees.
- What is the minimum, and how is overtime charged? Our hourly classes have a 3-hour minimum, and extra time is billed at the hourly rate.
- Is the operator licensed and insured for commercial passengers? Our Providence partners are licensed and commercially insured, vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network.
- How old is the vehicle? Elly8.net partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, seven for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley.
- What are the rules on board? Alcohol rules differ by state and by vehicle type. The chauffeur follows Rhode Island's rules, so ask the desk before the night rather than assume.
- What happens if we run late? Know the overtime rate before the night, not after it.
- Who do we call on the night? Our desk is open 24/7.
Proms and weddings
Proms. Parents usually want a fixed pickup list, a firm return time and a direct line to the desk. A stretch limousine for up to 8 or a Sprinter for up to 12 suits most groups, and our prom limousine page sets out how we handle them.
Weddings. Rhode Island weddings at Newport mansions, bay-side venues and city hotels usually pair a First Class car for the couple with a Sprinter shuttling guests. See wedding limousine and guest shuttles. Guests flying in can be met at T. F. Green, as described in our guide to what to expect from a Providence airport car service, and our comparison of Providence taxi vs Uber vs a private car covers the smaller trips around a wedding weekend.
Planning a night in another city?
The same approach works across the network. Our Buffalo party bus guide covers Bills game days, and groups from Rhode Island often book nights out in Boston or summer weekends in the Hamptons. Every published fare is on prices and packages.

Frequently asked questions
How many people fit in a Providence party bus?
On our fleet, a party bus seats up to 12, the same as an Executive Sprinter. A stretch limousine seats up to 8 and a stretch SUV limousine up to 16. For larger groups, the desk can book two vehicles or ask partners about a larger bus for your date.
What is the minimum booking time?
Hourly bookings in Providence have a 3-hour minimum, from US$95 an hour in a business sedan to US$190 an hour in an Executive Sprinter. The evening out and event night package is a fixed block for a typical night, from US$475 in a sedan to US$950 in a Sprinter.
Is the party bus price per person?
No. Every Elly8.net price is per vehicle. A 5-hour Sprinter night at US$950 divided by 12 guests works out at about US$79 each, but that is arithmetic for splitting the bill; you pay one price for the vehicle, with taxes and standard gratuity included.
Can we drink on a party bus in Rhode Island?
Rules on alcohol in vehicles depend on the state and the type of vehicle, and the chauffeur follows Rhode Island's rules. Ask the desk when you book rather than assume, and plan toasts for the restaurant or venue. Everyone in the group should expect the chauffeur to enforce the rules.
Can a party bus take us to Newport?
Yes. Enter the Newport addresses in the web booker for a party bus quote, or book the fixed 5-hour Newport day trip from Providence, from US$875 in an Executive Sprinter. Bridge tolls on the way are billed at cost, and the chauffeur waits at each stop.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free more than 72 hours before pickup. At 72 hours or less the charge is 10%, at 48 hours or less 50%, and at 24 hours or less or for a no-show 100%. Refunds go back to the original card used for the booking.
