A Boise Sprinter van rental with a chauffeur through Elly8.net seats up to 12 passengers with room for 12 bags. The fixed prices start at US$300 between Boise Airport (BOI) and downtown, and US$190 an hour as directed with a 3-hour minimum; a full eight-hour day is US$1,400. Every price is per vehicle and all-in, with the chauffeur, taxes and standard gratuity included.
Boise itself is compact, but the trips groups actually take are spread across the Treasure Valley and up into the mountains: wineries west of the city, the ski hill above town, the long drive to Sun Valley, and suburbs such as Meridian and Eagle that are easy to underestimate. This guide maps the routes, sets out what each kind of booking costs and explains how to choose between one Sprinter and two smaller vehicles.
When should you book a Sprinter in Boise?
Book an Executive Sprinter when the group is seven to twelve people, or fewer with a lot of gear such as golf bags, skis or wine cases. It seats 12 with room for 12 bags and keeps the group together. For six or fewer with ordinary luggage, a business SUV is cheaper by the hour.
The Executive Sprinter is the fixed-price group vehicle on our Boise price list. The Jet Sprinter, a VIP cabin for 6 passengers and 4 bags, is priced in the web booker, along with stretch limousines and party buses. Capacities for every class are on the fleet page.
Boise Sprinter prices at a glance
| Booking | Executive Sprinter | Two business SUVs, for comparison | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| BOI to downtown, one way | US$300 | US$300 | Same fare to the airport |
| BOI round trip, booked together | US$570 | US$570 | Return fixed in advance |
| By the hour, as directed | US$190 an hour | US$240 an hour | 3-hour minimum |
| Private city highlights tour, 4 hours | US$760 | US$960 | Capitol, North End, foothills |
| Evening out and event night, 5 hours | US$950 | US$1,200 | Dinner, a game, a show |
| Full-day chauffeur, 8 hours | US$1,400 | US$1,770 | Wine days, ski days |
| Corporate roadshow day, 10 hours | US$1,710 | US$2,160 | Team site visits |
On the airport run, one Sprinter and two business SUVs cost the same. On every time-based booking, the single Sprinter is cheaper, by US$50 an hour and by US$370 on a full day. Two SUVs still make sense when the group has to split, for example when half the team heads to Meridian and half to downtown, or when a few passengers leave early. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost.
The Treasure Valley map, as a chauffeur sees it
These are the routes Boise Sprinter bookings use most, with distances from downtown on routed estimates and clear-road drive times.
| From downtown Boise to | Distance | Clear-road drive | Typical Sprinter booking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Boise Airport (BOI) | about 4 mi (6 km) | about 10 min | Group arrivals and departures |
| Caldwell, wine country | about 28 mi (44 km) | about 36 min | Full-day wine tour |
| Bogus Basin ski area | about 19 mi (30 km) | about 42 min, mountain road | Ski day |
| McCall | about 107 mi (172 km) | about 2 hr 35 min | Lake weekends, lodge stays |
| Ketchum and Sun Valley | about 153 mi (247 km) | about 3 hr | Ski weeks, conferences, weddings |
Downtown and the near suburbs. Most hotels sit within a few blocks of the Capitol and the Grove Plaza. Meridian and Eagle, west of downtown, hold business parks, homes and venues, and the interstate links them. Allow extra time at weekday rush hours when a schedule runs between downtown and the suburbs.
Wine country. Idaho's wineries lie west of the city in the Snake River Valley, around Caldwell. A wine day suits the eight-hour package: the chauffeur drives, the group tastes, and wine cases fit in the back on the way home. See wine country tours.
Bogus Basin. The ski area describes itself as located just 16 miles from the Treasure Valley, with its address on Bogus Basin Road. Our routed estimate from downtown is about 19 miles (30 km) and 42 minutes, much of it on a winding mountain road. Bogus Basin posts conditions and hours; in winter, check Idaho 511 before setting off.
McCall and Sun Valley. These are long-distance trips, quoted as fixed fares in the web booker for your addresses. A Sprinter suits families and groups with ski bags or a week's luggage. See city to city car service.
Six Boise trips where a Sprinter makes sense
1. The group arrival. A team, a wedding party or a family reunion landing together at BOI. One Sprinter at US$300 with twelve bags. If the group arrives on several flights, give the desk every flight number. The meet inside baggage claim is explained in our Boise airport car service guide.
2. A wine day for ten. Eight hours at US$1,400, about US$140 each, with the chauffeur waiting at each tasting room. We show the per-person figure only as arithmetic; the price is per vehicle.
3. A ski day at Bogus Basin. Pickup downtown in the morning, skis and boots in the back, the chauffeur waiting through the day or returning at an agreed time. The full-day package gives slack for weather on the mountain road.
4. Game day. Boise State football at Albertsons Stadium and basketball at ExtraMile Arena draw the heaviest traffic in town, and the streets around campus fill at the same time. The five-hour evening package at US$950 covers dinner, the game and the ride home, with a pickup point a few blocks from the venue agreed in advance. See sports event transportation.
5. A team visit across the valley. Site visits in Meridian and Nampa, a lunch downtown and an evening flight. The 10-hour roadshow day at US$1,710 keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with the team; a corporate account puts it on one monthly invoice, with NDAs available on request. See corporate car service.
6. A wedding guest shuttle. Loops between the hotel, the ceremony and the reception, often at a vineyard or a foothills venue. The eight-hour full-day package covers most weddings. See wedding limousine.
Festival and conference weeks
Some weeks fill the city's hotels and cars at the same time. The Boise Centre on Front Street hosts conferences and galas a short walk from the main hotels, so a Sprinter's job during a conference is usually the airport run and the evening dinners rather than the daytime. Treefort Music Fest takes over downtown venues in spring, with the 2027 festival listed for March 31 to April 4. During a festival, an hourly Sprinter lets a group move between shows without each person hunting for a ride. If the group is out to celebrate rather than to work, compare the options in our Boise party bus guide.
Two sample plans, costed
A family ski week, eight people, landing at BOI for Sun Valley. The family lands mid-afternoon with four ski bags and eight suitcases. That is more than two SUVs carry comfortably and well within a Sprinter's twelve bags. Book the Sprinter from BOI to the Ketchum address as a fixed quote in the web booker, with the return a week later booked at the same time. The drive is about three hours on a clear road, so on a winter afternoon the desk will suggest leaving a margin before dark and checking Idaho 511. If the family prefers a shorter drive on the far end, compare flights into Friedman Memorial in Hailey.
A company offsite, twelve people, two days in Boise. Day one: the group arrives on three flights in the morning; one Sprinter at US$300 collects the first two flights together and the third traveller rides in a business sedan at US$115. The afternoon is meetings at a downtown hotel, and the evening is the five-hour event night package at US$950 for a team dinner. Day two: the 10-hour roadshow day at US$1,710 covers a site visit in Meridian, lunch, a winery visit near Caldwell and the airport run for the evening flights. The total is fixed before anyone travels and lands on one invoice.
These are illustrations built from the published prices, not packages; the desk will adjust either to your actual flights and addresses.
Questions to settle before you book
- Headcount and bags. Count people and luggage, including golf bags, skis, bikes and wine cases. Twelve seats and twelve standard bags is the guide.
- The shape of the day. Airport run, hourly, a package or a long-distance fixed quote. Hourly bookings run from the first pickup to the last drop-off.
- Every stop in order. Put addresses and timings in the booking notes, with the organiser's mobile number.
- Extra time. If the day might run long, book the extra hour now. Time added on the day is charged at the hourly rate.
- Winter. For mountain trips, allow an hour of cushion and choose the full-day package.
Child seats are available on request; add each child's age and weight. The chauffeur follows Idaho's rules on alcohol in vehicles, so wine is for the tasting rooms and the cases ride sealed in the back.
