Most Toronto weddings need two or three vehicles, not one big limousine: a car for the couple, an Executive Sprinter for a wedding party of up to 12, and a Business SUV for parents or grandparents. On Elly8.net those are booked by the hour at fixed, all-in Toronto prices: from US$110 an hour for a Business Sedan, US$140 for a Business SUV, US$180 for a First Class Sedan and US$220 for an Executive Sprinter, each with a 3-hour minimum.
The number of cars depends less on the guest count than on how many groups move at the same time and how far apart the venues are. A ceremony at a downtown church and a reception at a banquet hall in Vaughan or Mississauga is a long day on the road; a ceremony and reception under one roof may need a single car for the couple. This guide walks through the counting, a costed day and when to book.
How many cars does a Toronto wedding need?
Count movements, not guests. Most Toronto weddings need one car for the couple, one Executive Sprinter for a wedding party of up to 12, and a Business SUV for family who need help. When ceremony and reception are apart, add one Sprinter per 12 guests needing a ride, or one Sprinter running loops.
Write down every movement of the day in order: getting-ready locations to the ceremony, ceremony to photos, photos to the reception, and the end of the night. For each movement, note who travels. The largest group in any single movement sets the size of the vehicle; the number of groups moving at once sets the number of vehicles.

The vehicles Toronto couples actually use
Capacities come from the Elly8.net fleet page. Fixed hourly prices are the published Toronto rates; the classic stretch and the luxury marques are priced for your date in the web booker.
| Vehicle | Seats | Toronto price | Usual role on the day |
|---|---|---|---|
| First Class Sedan (S-Class or similar) | up to 3 | US$180 per hour | The couple, all day |
| Rolls-Royce or Mercedes-Maybach | up to 2 | Web booker | The couple, ceremony and exit |
| Stretch Limousine | up to 8 | Web booker | A small bridal party |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | US$220 per hour | Wedding party, photo stops |
| Business SUV | up to 6 | US$140 per hour | Parents and grandparents |
| Stretch SUV Limousine | up to 16 | Web booker | A large wedding party in one vehicle |
The First Class Sedan is the quiet favourite for the couple: it looks right in photographs, the rear seats are easy to get into in a long dress, and the chauffeur can keep the car with the couple all day. The Sprinter suits the wedding party because twelve people step in and out at standing height, several times, without crushing anyone's outfit. Our wedding limousine and guest shuttle page compares the classic stretch with these options in more depth.
A simple formula for guest shuttles
If the ceremony and reception are in different places and some guests are not driving, a shuttle saves the day from a car-park bottleneck.
- Count guests who need a ride, not all guests. Hotel guests from out of town usually do; local families with cars usually do not.
- Divide by 12 and round up for the number of Sprinter seats needed at the busiest moment.
- If the drive between venues is under 20 minutes, one Sprinter can run two loops instead of booking two vehicles. If it is longer, two vehicles keep the timeline.
- Add an end-of-night run from the reception back to the hotel block. That run is often the most valued part of the shuttle.
For 40 guests between a downtown hotel and a reception 25 minutes away, the formula says four Sprinter loads. Two Sprinters running two trips each covers it inside the same hours.
A Toronto wedding day, hour by hour, costed
Here is a typical downtown-to-suburb day with a getting-ready hotel in Yorkville, a ceremony downtown, a photo stop at the Distillery District and a reception in Vaughan. All prices are fixed Elly8.net Toronto rates, per vehicle, in US dollars, including chauffeur, taxes and standard gratuity.
| Vehicle | Hours | Role | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| First Class Sedan | 8 | Couple: hotel, ceremony, photos, reception, last dance exit | US$1,440 |
| Executive Sprinter | 6 | Wedding party: hotel, ceremony, photos, reception | US$1,320 |
| Business SUV | 4 | Grandparents: home to ceremony to reception | US$560 |
| Executive Sprinter | 4 | Guest shuttle: two loops after the ceremony, late run to the hotel block, split booking | US$880 |
| Total | US$4,200 |
The guest shuttle in that table is two separate 2-hour windows on paper; we book it as one 4-hour reservation with a gap, or as two 3-hour reservations, whichever is cheaper for your timeline. Tolls and parking are billed at cost; the only toll that normally appears in the GTA is Highway 407 ETR, and only if you ask for it. A smaller day, with ceremony and reception at one venue, might need only the First Class Sedan for 4 hours, US$720 in total.
If the couple prefers a single fixed block, the full-day chauffeur package covers it: US$1,325 in a First Class Sedan, US$1,620 in an Executive Sprinter or US$810 in a Business Sedan.
Toronto venues and the timing they impose
Each venue type in Toronto has a habit worth planning around.
Downtown hotels. Front entrances on King, Front and Bay share space with taxis and deliveries. The chauffeur stages around the corner and comes up when the couple is in the lobby, which prevents a car blocking a busy driveway for twenty minutes.
Casa Loma. The hilltop castle in the Annex hosts weddings and is one of the city's most photographed backdrops; see Casa Loma's site for its private events. The approach roads are residential and parking is limited, so give the chauffeur the exact entrance the venue assigns.
The Distillery District. The Distillery District hosts weddings and celebrations and is a favourite photo stop for its brick lanes. Vehicles drop at the edge of the district while the couple and party walk in, so plan 30 to 40 minutes on foot.
Evergreen Brick Works. In the Don Valley ravine, Evergreen Brick Works offers wedding and event spaces in heritage industrial buildings. The access road is the Bayview Avenue valley, which is slow in rush hour, so add a buffer for a Friday wedding.
Suburban banquet halls. Many Toronto receptions are in Vaughan, Woodbridge, Markham or Mississauga. Allow 40 to 60 minutes from downtown on a Saturday afternoon, and more when the Blue Jays play at home or a stadium concert lets out on the same evening.
Niagara-on-the-Lake and the Falls. For a winery wedding, guests coming from Toronto need a car for the full return, and the fixed Niagara Falls day trip, from US$1,015 in a Business Sedan to US$2,025 in an Executive Sprinter, often costs less than two one-way bookings. The Niagara Falls car service page has the local transfers.
Out-of-town guests landing at Pearson and Billy Bishop
Destination guests arriving for the weekend are the hidden part of the wedding car count. A family of four with bags fits a Business SUV, from US$205 from Toronto Pearson (YYZ) to downtown, and a group of up to 12 fits an Executive Sprinter at US$405. Billy Bishop (YTZ) arrivals are a short run into the core, from US$95 in a Business Sedan. Every airport fare includes flight tracking and meet and greet inside arrivals, and the same fixed price applies in either direction. See airport transfers for how arrivals work.
For a single guest with a carry-on going to a hotel near Union Station, the UP Express train is the honest recommendation: the UP Express fare page lists an adult single at C$12.35 for the run from Pearson to Union. Guests staying in Mississauga or Hamilton can use the Mississauga and Hamilton price lists, which are shorter runs from YYZ.
When to book wedding cars in Toronto
The cars that run out first are the ones every wedding wants at the same time: First Class Sedans, Sprinters and the luxury marques on Saturdays between May and October.
- Six to twelve months out: book the couple's car and the wedding party Sprinter as soon as the venue and date are fixed. This is the booking that is hardest to replace late.
- Three to six months out: add guest shuttles once the hotel block and the RSVP count are clearer.
- Six to eight weeks out: confirm the final timeline, the stop list and the names and phone numbers of the contacts for each vehicle.
- The week before: check road closures. Toronto summers bring weekend festivals, marathons and street events, and September brings TIFF closures around King Street West; the desk reviews closures for the date and adjusts routes.
Booking early costs nothing extra on a fixed price, and the Elly8.net cancellation policy keeps it low-risk: free more than 72 hours before pickup, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show, refunded to the original card.
The rehearsal dinner, the after-party and the day after
The rehearsal dinner is often the night before in a downtown restaurant, and a single Executive Sprinter at US$220 an hour moves the wedding party from the hotel and back. The after-party is where a limo bus or party bus earns its place: one vehicle, one organiser, one return time. And the day after, the departure runs to Pearson for the couple and close family can be booked on the same reservation as the wedding day, so the desk has everyone in one place.
Mistakes that cost couples time
- Booking one large limousine for everyone. It makes the day wait for its slowest group. Two smaller vehicles keep the photographer's schedule.
- Forgetting the end of the night. The last dance is the moment guests most need a ride, and it is the moment taxis and ride apps are busiest in the suburbs.
- No contact list. Each vehicle needs a named person on the day with a phone. The chauffeur needs to know who decides.
- Ignoring the photo stop. Popular spots get busy on summer Saturdays. Build 15 minutes of slack into every stop.
- Underestimating Saturday traffic. Event days at Rogers Centre and Scotiabank Arena slow the south end of downtown for an hour either side.
Child seats, accessibility and special requests
Child seats are available on request; give the age and weight of each child when booking so the right seat is fitted before pickup. For guests with reduced mobility, the Business SUV and the Executive Sprinter are easier to enter than a low stretch, and the chauffeur can bring the vehicle to an accessible door. Decorations such as ribbons can be agreed in advance. On alcohol, the chauffeur follows Ontario's rules, so plan toasts for the venue.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a wedding limo cost in Toronto?
On Elly8.net the couple's First Class Sedan is US$180 an hour, a Business SUV US$140 and an Executive Sprinter for the wedding party US$220, each with a 3-hour minimum, fixed and all-in per vehicle. A typical downtown-to-suburb wedding with three or four vehicles costs US$2,500 to US$4,500. Stretch limousines and luxury marques are quoted in the web booker.
How many hours should we book the wedding car for?
The couple's car usually needs 6 to 8 hours when ceremony, photos and reception are in different places, and 3 to 4 hours when everything is at one venue. The wedding party Sprinter often needs 5 to 6 hours. Book a little more than the timeline suggests; extra time is billed at the same hourly rate.
When should we book wedding transportation in Toronto?
Book the couple's car and the wedding party vehicle six to twelve months ahead for a Saturday between May and October, and add guest shuttles three to six months out. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup, so an early booking carries no penalty if the plan changes.
Can one car stay with us all day?
Yes. Book the couple's car by the hour or as a full-day chauffeur, from US$1,325 in a First Class Sedan. The same chauffeur stays with you between the ceremony, photos and reception and waits during each stop, so there is no need to rebook between venues.
Do you provide transport for guests from Pearson?
Yes. Pearson to downtown Toronto costs US$155 in a Business Sedan, US$205 in a Business SUV and US$405 in an Executive Sprinter for up to 12 guests, fixed and all-in, with meet and greet inside arrivals. The same price applies for the departure run to the airport after the wedding.
Can you provide child seats for the wedding party?
Yes, child seats are available on request. Tell us the age and weight of each child when you book, and the seats are fitted before pickup. Families with children and bags usually choose a Business SUV or an Executive Sprinter for space.
