A party bus to a concert solves the two hardest parts of a big show: getting a group there together without anyone driving, and getting everyone home when tens of thousands of people leave at the same time. The group shares one vehicle, one chauffeur and one meeting point, and nobody spends the walk out watching an app search for a driver.
What surprises many groups is that venues treat buses differently from cars. Amphitheatres, stadiums and arenas often send large vehicles to their own lots, away from the rideshare and taxi areas, and some limit where those vehicles can wait. This guide covers those rules with examples from real venues, the timing that works, the exit plan and when a twelve-seat Executive Sprinter is the better choice than a party bus.
Where does a party bus drop off at a concert?
It depends on the venue, and large vehicles often have their own area. At Red Rocks Amphitheatre, vehicles 6 ft 5 in wide or more, including party bus limos, must drop off and pick up in Lower South Lot 2. Check the venue's getting-here page, give the desk the venue name and show date, and the chauffeur plans around the published rules.
The pattern is consistent across many large venues: private cars, taxis and app rides go to one area, limousines that fit a normal parking space to another, and buses and other oversized vehicles to a third. The bus area is often further from the gates, but it is also usually less crowded at the end of the night, because the app queue is somewhere else.
Venue examples: how the rules really work
Red Rocks Amphitheatre, near Denver. The venue's getting here page defines any vehicle 6 ft 5 in wide or more, including RVs, buses and party bus limos, as oversized. Oversized vehicles must drop off and pick up patrons in Lower South Lot 2 and cannot be left overnight. Limousines that fit a standard parking space may drop off at the Top Circle Lot or the Upper North Lot at the discretion of traffic staff, and may park onsite on a first-come, first-served basis. Passenger pickup for private vehicles, taxis and app rides after the show is in the Jurassic Lot, just inside Entrance 2. So a party bus group and a rideshare group leave from different places.
Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles. The Bowl's getting here page puts rideshare drop-off and pick-up in Lot C (Purple), with drivers directed to 6655 Odin Street, and describes parking as extremely limited and stacked. It suggests arriving at least 90 minutes before the performance and warns that street closures may be used on busier concert nights. The Bowl also runs its own Park & Ride buses. A chartered group vehicle needs a plan that fits around all of that; give the desk the date and the gate time on your ticket.
Scotiabank Arena, Toronto. The arena sits at the northwest corner of Lake Shore Boulevard West and Bay Street, at 40 Bay Street, and its getting here page notes that Union Station links it with the TTC and GO Transit. On concert nights the streets around Bay and Lake Shore fill quickly, so a large vehicle stages nearby and the chauffeur confirms a meeting point a short walk from the doors.
Las Vegas. Concerts at Allegiant Stadium and residencies at Sphere bring large crowds to the Strip area at the same moment. Resort and venue driveways have their own rules for large vehicles, and the desk confirms the drop-off and pickup points before the night.
The rules change, and they differ by show. Always read the venue's own page for your date, and tell the desk which entrance your tickets use.
Party bus or Executive Sprinter?
Both carry up to twelve passengers in the Elly8.net fleet, but they are different vehicles for different nights. Per-vehicle figures from the fleet table:
| Vehicle | Passengers | Bags | Best for | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Party Bus | up to 12 | 2 | Birthdays and concerts where the ride is part of the party | Quoted in the booker for your date |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | 12 | Concert groups who want comfortable seats, fast loading and a door-to-door night | Published: evening package US$950 to US$1,100 |
| Stretch SUV Limousine | up to 16 | 2 | Bigger groups and a dramatic arrival | Quoted in the booker for your date |
| Business SUV | up to 6 | 6 | Smaller groups | Published: evening package US$600 to US$700 |
The evening out and event night package in an Executive Sprinter is US$950 in Denver, Las Vegas and Nashville, US$1,000 in Chicago, US$1,050 in Los Angeles and New York City and US$1,100 in Toronto, fixed and all-in, per vehicle. A Party Bus is quoted in the web booker for the date, because availability varies by city and season.
One practical point matters at venues like Red Rocks: whether the vehicle counts as oversized. Red Rocks names party bus limos as oversized, which sets your drop-off lot there. For other vehicles and venues, ask the desk which rules apply to the vehicle you book.
If the group is larger than twelve, a Stretch SUV Limousine takes up to sixteen; our Hummer limousine guide covers what those vehicles hold and where they struggle to stop.
Timing: build the night backwards from the doors
- Gate or doors time. Not the headline set time. Many venues publish a gate time on the ticket or event page.
- Security and the walk. Bag checks and the walk from the bus area to your seats can take a while at amphitheatres and stadiums. The Hollywood Bowl's 90-minute suggestion gives a sense of scale at a busy venue.
- The drive for that hour. Concert traffic converges on the same roads at the same time. Use the real time for a show night, not a clear-road figure.
- One pickup address. Ask the group to meet at one home or hotel. Every extra pickup uses time you would rather spend at the show.
If there is dinner first, give the restaurant time to the desk so the bus is there when you leave. Our guide to a night out limo covers dinner-and-show evenings in more detail.
The exit plan: why a staged bus beats the rideshare scramble
The end of the show is when a booked vehicle earns its price.
Everyone requests at once. When a show ends, thousands of people open the same apps within minutes. App prices are set at the moment of request and rise with demand, and wait times stretch. A group of twelve needs three or four app rides, each priced at that moment.
Rideshare areas are shared. At Red Rocks, private cars, taxis and app rides all collect from the Jurassic Lot; at the Hollywood Bowl, rideshare uses Lot C. Those areas are busiest exactly when you want to leave.
A booked bus has its own place. The chauffeur waits where the venue sends large vehicles, and the group walks to one known vehicle. Agree before the show:
- the exact lot or corner where the bus will be,
- a time to meet, such as fifteen minutes after the last song,
- one person in the group who has the chauffeur's details and the desk's number.
If you plan to leave before the encore, tell the chauffeur. If the show runs late, the bus is still there; waiting beyond the booked time is billed at cost, so build a buffer into the hours.
Arena, stadium or amphitheatre: three different nights
The type of venue changes the plan more than the city does.
Downtown arenas sit inside a street grid. Drop-off is quick, but the kerb outside is controlled on show nights, and large vehicles are moved on. Expect the bus to stage a few blocks away and the chauffeur to send a meeting corner. Transit is often strong, so some of the group may prefer the train home; plan for that rather than waiting for latecomers.
Stadiums handle the biggest crowds and usually have the most formal rules: designated lots for buses, rideshare zones and road closures before and after the event. The exit takes longer, so agree a realistic meeting time and stick to it.
Outdoor amphitheatres are often outside the city, on a few access roads, with separate lots for cars, limousines and oversized vehicles, as Red Rocks shows. The drive is longer and the walk from the lot can be uphill or downhill in the dark. Bring a light layer and comfortable shoes, and expect the slowest part of the night to be the queue of vehicles leaving the park.
Rules for the bus itself
- Alcohol. Laws differ by city and state, and the chauffeur follows local rules. Do not plan on drinking in the vehicle, and venues set their own rules on what you can bring in.
- Headcount. Vehicle capacity is a legal limit. Twelve means twelve.
- Minors. For teen concert nights, give the desk a parent's contact and the exact return address.
- Behaviour and damage. Partners set their own rules on smoking, confetti and damage; ask before the day.
- Tickets and bags. Check the venue's bag policy before you leave. The bus is not a cloakroom for items the venue will not admit.
Concert weekends and festivals
Multi-day festivals and stadium residencies stretch the same plan over several nights. Book each night as its own evening package or by the hour, with the same pickup address and meeting point every day. If the group is flying in, book the airport transfers separately in a Business SUV or Executive Sprinter, which have room for luggage that a party bus does not. Our airport transfer service guide explains the arrival process, and the concert transportation and sports event transportation pages cover event days.
What a concert night costs, and how to compare
Elly8.net prices are per vehicle, never per person. A US$950 Executive Sprinter evening shared by twelve friends is about US$79 each as arithmetic for comparison only. Compare that with the alternatives honestly: if two friends live near a transit line that serves the venue, the train or bus may be the better choice for them. For a big group, a late finish and a venue with crowded pickup areas, a single booked vehicle is usually the calmer night. Our post on how much it costs to rent a limo explains what drives quotes, and the party bus rental page covers how those evenings are planned.
How to book a party bus for a concert
- Send the details. Venue, show date, gate time, ticket entrance, pickup address, number of passengers and the return address.

Frequently asked questions
Where do party buses drop off at Red Rocks?
According to Red Rocks Amphitheatre, vehicles 6 ft 5 in wide or more, including party bus limos, are oversized and must drop off and pick up in Lower South Lot 2. They cannot be left overnight. App rides and taxis collect passengers after the show in the Jurassic Lot, so the bus group leaves from a separate area.
How early should a party bus leave for a concert?
Work back from the gate time on your ticket, not the headline set time. Add the walk from the bus area and security screening, then the real drive time for a show night. The Hollywood Bowl, for example, suggests arriving at least 90 minutes before the performance.
How many people fit on a party bus?
The Party Bus in the Elly8.net fleet carries up to 12 passengers and 2 bags. For up to 16, a Stretch SUV Limousine is available, and for 12 with luggage or longer drives, the Executive Sprinter carries 12 passengers and 12 bags. Capacity is a legal limit.
Will the bus wait during the concert?
Yes, when it is booked for the evening or by the hour. The chauffeur waits where the venue allows large vehicles and meets the group at the agreed point after the show. Waiting beyond the booked time is billed at cost, so build a buffer for encores and crowds.
Can we drink on the party bus?
Laws differ by city and state, and the chauffeur follows local rules. Do not plan on drinking in the vehicle. Venues also set their own rules on what can be brought inside.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free more than 72 hours before pickup; 10% within 72 hours; 50% within 48 hours; and 100% within 24 hours or for a no-show. Refunds go back to the original card.
