An Orange County Sprinter van rental through Elly8.net means a 12-seat Executive Sprinter with a professional chauffeur, at a fixed, all-in price. By the hour it is US$200 with a three-hour minimum, so the smallest booking is US$600. Airport runs are priced as routes: John Wayne Airport (SNA) to Newport Beach is US$325 one way, Long Beach (LGB) US$615 and LAX US$820, the same in either direction.
That covers the money. The harder question in Orange County is time, because the county is a chain of separate cities joined by the 405, the 5 and the 55, and a group that wants Newport for dinner, Anaheim for a game and Laguna for a nightcap can spend half the booking on the freeway. This guide covers both: the price list, and how to plan the hours so the van works for you.
How much does a Sprinter van with a driver cost in Orange County?
An Executive Sprinter with a chauffeur in Orange County costs US$200 an hour with a three-hour minimum, or fixed route prices: US$325 from SNA to Newport Beach, US$615 from LGB and US$820 from LAX. Packages run from US$800 for a highlights tour to US$1,800 for a corporate roadshow day, all-in and per vehicle.
Every figure below comes from the Orange County price panel and includes the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. Prices are per vehicle, not per person.

What you actually get in the van
The Executive Sprinter on our fleet page is a high-roof Mercedes-Benz Sprinter fitted for passengers, rated for up to 12 people and 12 bags. You stand up to board, walk to your seat rather than climb over a row, and the luggage rides in the back rather than on laps. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, and child seats are available on request.
Two practical points come up with Orange County bookings again and again:
- Height. A high-roof van does not fit into every parking structure. Hotel driveways, the arrivals kerb and event drop-off lanes are fine; a low-ceiling garage under a restaurant is not. Tell the desk where you are going and the chauffeur plans a kerbside stop instead.
- Bags. Twelve passengers with twelve full-size suitcases is the practical limit. Golf bags, surfboards, strollers and trade-show crates change the arithmetic, so list them when you book. If the cargo is heavy, the desk may suggest a second vehicle for the luggage.
The Sprinter is not a party bus. It has forward-facing seats, a calm cabin and room to work. Groups who want lighting and perimeter seating should read our Orange County party bus guide, which sets out the trade-offs honestly.
Sprinter, two SUVs or a sedan: choose by the group
A van is not always the right answer. The fixed prices make the comparison simple, and sometimes the smaller vehicles win.
| Group | Best booking | Example fixed price | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 3 people, 2 bags | Business Sedan | SNA to Newport Beach US$125 | Cheapest way to travel together |
| 4 to 6 people with luggage | Business SUV | SNA to Newport Beach US$165 | Up to 6 passengers and 6 bags |
| 7 to 12 people who stay together | Executive Sprinter | SNA to Newport Beach US$325 | One vehicle, one chauffeur, one pickup |
| 8 to 12 people who will split up | Two Business SUVs | 2 x US$165 = US$330 | Two groups, two routes, same arrival |
| 13 or more | Sprinter plus SUV, or two Sprinters | Quoted in the web booker | Several vehicles on one reservation |
The arithmetic is worth a second look. From SNA to Newport Beach, two Business SUVs cost US$330 against US$325 for one Sprinter, almost a tie. By the hour the gap is wider: two Business SUVs at US$125 each are US$250 an hour against US$200 for the Sprinter. So if your group will stay together all evening, the van is better value; if half the group is heading to Laguna and half to Irvine after dinner, two SUVs cost a little more and save a long detour. Divided across twelve people, the Sprinter hour works out at about US$17 each; that is arithmetic for comparison only, since the price is per vehicle.
Orange County is spread out: plan the hours around the freeways
The most common mistake with an hourly booking in Orange County is underestimating the drives between stops. These are clear-road routing times from the centre of Newport Beach, the same reference point as our price list:
| From Newport Beach to | Distance | Clear-road drive |
|---|---|---|
| Huntington Beach pier | about 5 mi (9 km) | about 9 min |
| Laguna Beach, Main Beach | about 11 mi (17 km) | about 20 min |
| Irvine Spectrum | about 14 mi (23 km) | about 19 min |
| Honda Center, Anaheim | about 17 mi (27 km) | about 22 min |
| Disneyland Resort, Anaheim | about 18 mi (29 km) | about 25 min |
| Dana Point | about 18 mi (29 km) | about 35 min |
Clear-road times are the floor, not the forecast. Weekday afternoons northbound on the 405 and the 5, and anything near the Anaheim Resort district when a game or a convention lets out, run well beyond them. A sensible rule for an hourly booking is to add half again to each freeway leg at peak times and to keep stops on the same side of the county together.
Orange County also has toll roads. The Toll Roads serve State Routes 73, 133, 241 and 261, and the 73 is often the quickest way between Newport and the south county. If the chauffeur uses a toll road to save time, the toll is billed at cost, as on every Elly8.net booking.
What Orange County groups book a Sprinter for
Convention teams in Anaheim. The Anaheim Convention Center hosts two big shows early in 2027. The NAMM Show runs January 26-30, 2027, with exhibits January 28-30, and Natural Products Expo West runs March 2-5, 2027, with exhibit halls open March 3-5. Booth teams staying in Newport or Irvine often book the van by the hour each morning and evening, so the whole team arrives together and the crates ride with them. Our conference transportation page explains how daily loops are planned.
Families arriving for the theme parks. A family of seven with strollers, car seats and a week of luggage will not fit in one SUV. A Sprinter from SNA, LGB or LAX to an Anaheim hotel keeps everyone together; enter the hotel address in the web booker for the fixed price.
Game and concert nights. Honda Center and Angel Stadium sit on either side of the 57. The evening out and event night package, US$1,000 in the Sprinter, covers the drive in, the wait and the drive home, and the desk sets a pickup point away from the main lots. See sports event and game-day transportation.
Coastal weddings. Ceremonies in Laguna Beach or Dana Point often have guests spread across several hotels. A Sprinter running timed loops between hotels and the venue keeps the schedule; our wedding limousine and guest shuttles page sets out how a wedding day is run.
Corporate offsites in Irvine. Irvine's business parks are close to SNA, about 9 mi (15 km) and 13 minutes from the airport to Irvine Spectrum on a clear road. A visiting leadership team can land, ride to the offsite together and return to the airport in the same van, all on one corporate account with monthly invoicing.
Neighbourhood notes the chauffeur will already know
- Newport Beach and Balboa. The peninsula streets are narrow and summer weekends are busy. A van drops at the main roads and the chauffeur waits nearby rather than threading the side streets.
- Laguna Beach. Parking is scarce and Coast Highway is slow on weekends. The city runs a free trolley along Coast Highway, according to Visit Laguna Beach, which helps once you are in town; the van handles getting there and getting home. If Laguna is the destination from the airport, our John Wayne Airport to Laguna Beach comparison goes through every option.
- Irvine. Wide roads and business-park driveways make Irvine the easiest part of the county for a large van.
- Anaheim. The resort district has its own traffic rhythm around park opening, fireworks and event exits. Plan pickups for just before or well after the rush.
- Huntington Beach. Main Street and the pier are pedestrian-heavy at weekends; the chauffeur picks a set-down point on Pacific Coast Highway or a side street.
Booking a Sprinter: three steps and the details that matter
- Pickup and drop-off. Choose a route from the price list, or enter any Orange County address in the web booker. For airport pickups add the flight number; the flight is tracked, and you get complimentary waiting after a tracked landing.
- Vehicle and extras. Choose the Executive Sprinter, then add passenger count, bag count, child seats and anything oversized.
- Reserve. Press Reserve now and pay securely, or complete the booking in the web booker. Confirmation arrives by email, with the chauffeur's details before pickup.
For an hourly booking, send the desk the full itinerary: the order of stops, any timed reservations and the address of anywhere with a low garage or a gate. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup; 72 hours or less is 10%, 48 hours or less 50%, and 24 hours or less or a no-show 100%, refunded to the original card. Convention weeks fill early, so book as soon as the show dates are fixed.
Beyond the county line
Many Sprinter bookings start in Orange County and end somewhere else. For Los Angeles venues and LAX arrivals into the city, see the Los Angeles car service page; for a weekend in the Gaslamp or La Jolla, the San Diego limo service page; and for the desert, Palm Springs. One-way runs between cities are quoted through our city to city car service, and a day in the Temecula vineyards is covered on wine tours by chauffeured car. If you are comparing van hire against a self-drive rental, our chauffeur vs renting a car guide is a fair place to start.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a Sprinter van with a driver in Orange County?
The Executive Sprinter is US$200 an hour with a three-hour minimum, so the smallest hourly booking is US$600. Fixed routes include SNA to Newport Beach at US$325, LGB at US$615 and LAX at US$820. The price is per vehicle and all-in, including chauffeur, taxes and standard gratuity; tolls and parking are billed at cost.
How many people and bags fit in the Sprinter?
The Executive Sprinter seats up to 12 passengers with up to 12 standard bags. Oversized items such as golf bags, surfboards, strollers and exhibition crates take more room, so list them when you book. For larger groups the desk can put a Sprinter and an SUV, or two Sprinters, on one reservation.
Is a Sprinter cheaper than two SUVs?
By the hour, yes: US$200 for the Sprinter against US$250 for two Business SUVs at US$125 each. On the SNA to Newport Beach route it is almost even, US$325 against US$330. Two SUVs make sense when the group splits up during the day; one Sprinter is better value when everyone stays together.
Can the Sprinter take us to Disneyland from the airport?
Yes. Enter the Anaheim hotel address in the web booker for a fixed price from SNA, LGB or LAX. The chauffeur meets you inside arrivals with a name board, child seats are fitted before pickup on request, and the van carries strollers and luggage together, so nobody waits at a busy kerb.
Do you need a minimum booking for an hourly Sprinter?
Yes, the hourly rate has a three-hour minimum. For shorter trips, a fixed route such as an airport transfer is usually the better choice. If your plans run longer, the evening package at US$1,000 or the full-day chauffeur at US$1,475 can work out cheaper than a long hourly booking.
What is the cancellation policy for a Sprinter booking?
Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup. At 72 hours or less a 10% charge applies, at 48 hours or less 50%, and at 24 hours or less or for a no-show 100%. Refunds go to the original card. During NAMM and Expo West weeks, book early.
