A CVG car service booked on Elly8.net starts with your flight being tracked, continues with a chauffeur waiting for you in the Meet and Greet area on the lower level of the terminal, and ends after a drive across the Ohio River into downtown Cincinnati, about 12 mi (20 km) and roughly 22 minutes on a clear road. The fare is fixed before you fly: from US$150 in a business sedan to US$390 in an Executive Sprinter, all-in.
Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport has two features that surprise first-time visitors. It is in Boone County, Kentucky, not in Ohio, and no ride of any kind, taxi, app or private car, picks up at the terminal curb. Both shape how a car service works here, and both are covered step by step below.
What does a CVG car service include?
An Elly8.net car from CVG includes flight tracking, a chauffeur meeting you in the airport's Meet and Greet area with a name board, complimentary waiting after a tracked landing, help with bags on the walk to Ground Transport East and a fixed, all-in fare: from US$150 in a business sedan to downtown Cincinnati.
The fare covers the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and the airport meet and greet. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost, and the standard route into the city has no tolls. Prices are per vehicle: four colleagues in a business SUV pay US$195 in total.
Rides in Cincinnati are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Every vehicle class is on the Cincinnati car service page.

Step 1: when you book
Add your flight number. The pickup then follows the real flight, so an early arrival or a delayed connection moves the chauffeur without a phone call. Add the number of passengers and checked bags, golf bags or strollers, and any child seats with each child's age and weight (seats are available on request).
Enter the exact drop-off. The fixed fare on the price list is to downtown Cincinnati. Over-the-Rhine, Covington and Newport across the river, the northern suburbs of Blue Ash, Mason and West Chester, and any other address are priced in the web booker before you pay. If the car is for a client or a family member, put their name on the board and your number as the contact.
Step 2: landing at CVG
After you leave the aircraft, follow the signs towards baggage claim. On the way down, every arriving passenger passes the Meet and Greet area on the lower level of the terminal, on the route to the baggage claim escalators, according to the airport's meeting passengers page. That is where your chauffeur waits.
Switch your phone on at the gate. The chauffeur's details arrive before pickup, and a quick message once you are walking helps on a busy afternoon. Complimentary waiting starts after a tracked landing, so a long taxi to the gate or a slow walk from a distant gate is already covered.
Step 3: the meeting point
Your chauffeur stands in the Meet and Greet area with a name board. This is the clearest meeting point of any airport in the region, because it is on the one route every arriving passenger takes. Once you have found each other, you go down to collect your bags together.
At CVG, every ground transportation option is away from the terminal curb, as the airport's ground transportation page explains:
| Option at CVG | Where it picks up | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Elly8.net chauffeur | Meet and Greet area, then Ground Transport East | look for your name, collect bags, walk to the car |
| Taxi | Ground Transport East, from the baggage claim level | follow the signs and join the taxi line |
| Rideshare | Ground Transport East, from the baggage claim level | request in the app, walk to the pickup area |
| TANK 2X Airporter bus | Ground Transport East, public transit | check the timetable, pay the fare |
| Hotel courtesy shuttles | Ground Transport West | call your hotel |
| Shared-ride shuttle | desk in baggage claim near carousels 3 and 4 | walk up, no reservation needed |
Our airport meet and greet page describes the meeting routine across all Elly8.net cities.
Step 4: the bags and the walk to Ground Transport East
After the carousel, the chauffeur helps with the luggage and walks you to the car at Ground Transport East, where private vans, cars and limousines with airport permits pick up. Follow the chauffeur and the signs; there is no need to look for a curb or a numbered pickup door.
Vehicle choice is mostly about luggage. Capacities below come from the Elly8.net fleet page.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Bags | CVG to downtown, fixed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business Sedan | up to 3 | 2 | US$150 |
| First Class Sedan | up to 3 | 2 | US$265 |
| Business SUV | up to 6 | 6 | US$195 |
| First Class SUV | up to 6 | 6 | US$240 |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | 12 | US$390 |
A couple with two large cases fits a sedan. Two travellers with large cases and a sample case should take a business SUV. A family with a stroller, a car seat and four suitcases needs the SUV, and a golf group or a wedding party of ten with luggage needs the Sprinter. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer.
Step 5: the drive across the river
The drive from CVG to downtown Cincinnati runs through Northern Kentucky and crosses the Ohio River into the city. On a clear road it takes about 22 minutes; in the weekday rush, or with a delay at the river crossing, 35 to 50 minutes is realistic. The fare does not change with traffic.
The river crossing is the variable. The Brent Spence Bridge Corridor project, which includes a new companion bridge alongside the existing Brent Spence Bridge, publishes travel updates and detours for both Kentucky and Ohio, and the chauffeur plans the route around current conditions. If you have a meeting at a set time, tell the desk the time you need to be in the room, and the pickup plan allows for it.
Where people go from CVG:
- Downtown. Hotels and offices around Fountain Square, The Banks between the stadiums on the riverfront, and the First Financial Center, the convention centre formerly known as the Duke Energy Convention Center, which reopened in January 2026 after renovations.
- Over-the-Rhine. North of Central Parkway, with Findlay Market, Music Hall and the Vine Street restaurants.
- Covington and Newport. On the Kentucky side of the river, closer to the airport than downtown and convenient for an early flight.
- The northern suburbs. Blue Ash, Mason and West Chester along I-71 and I-75, where many corporate offices are. This is a longer drive, priced in the booker.
Step 6: drop-off
At the hotel or address, the chauffeur unloads the luggage at the door. There is nothing to pay at the end, and your receipt is the email confirmation. If you need a car again during the stay, the desk can add an hourly chauffeur, from US$95 an hour in a business sedan (3-hour minimum), or a Bengals or Reds night on the evening out and event night package, from US$475.
The return trip: car service to CVG
A car service to CVG costs the same fixed fare as the arrival, from US$150 in a business sedan to US$390 in an Executive Sprinter, and a round trip booked together starts at US$285. The chauffeur drops you at the departures curb. From downtown on a weekday morning, we usually suggest leaving about two hours before a domestic departure, a little more when the river crossing is congested.
Late arrivals: why booking ahead matters at CVG
The airport says plainly that service after midnight may be limited for walk-ups, and it encourages passengers to arrange ground transportation in advance. For a flight landing at 12:30 am, that is the strongest argument for a pre-booked car: the chauffeur is assigned before you land, the flight is tracked, and the Meet and Greet area is where they will be.
Fixed fare, meter or bus: how CVG options compare
TANK, the Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky, runs the 2X Airporter between downtown Cincinnati and the CVG terminal. The local cash fare is US$2, and a Metro/TANK day pass is US$5, according to TANK fares. TANK has announced service changes from November 7, so check the 2X timetable before you travel. For one traveller with a carry-on who is not in a hurry, that is hard to beat, and we would say so.
Taxis at Ground Transport East are priced by the taxi company, so ask for the fare before you leave. Rideshare prices are set by the app when you request and rise with demand, notably on Bengals Sundays and during big conventions. A pre-booked car costs more than the bus and usually more than a taxi for one person, but the price is fixed, the chauffeur is waiting, and a group pays for one vehicle. Read chauffeur vs taxi and chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft for the general comparison.
Groups, conventions and corporate travel
For convention teams heading to the First Financial Center, wedding parties and sports groups, an Executive Sprinter carries up to 12 passengers with luggage for US$390 to downtown, and several vehicles can sit on one booking; see conference transportation. Companies that fly staff through CVG regularly can open a corporate account for monthly invoicing. For a full day of meetings in Blue Ash or Mason, the corporate roadshow day starts at US$855 in a business sedan. For a Columbus leg on the same trip, our Columbus airport car service guide walks through CMH, and for Cleveland, our Cleveland airport car service guide does the same for CLE.
