A Las Vegas private driver is the simplest way to spend a day off the taxi line: one chauffeur, one car, waiting at each stop and going where you direct. With Elly8.net, a private driver costs from US$95 an hour in a Business Sedan to US$155 an hour in a First Class Sedan, three-hour minimum, fixed and all-in with gratuity, and packages such as an eight-hour day from US$700 cost less than the same hours booked one by one.
This guide is for one to six travellers, the couple, the family, the executive or the friend group of four, rather than a party vehicle. It covers which of the four car classes to choose, when a package beats the hourly rate, the trips a private driver suits best, and the questions to ask before you book. Rides in Las Vegas are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
How much does a private driver cost in Las Vegas?
An Elly8.net private driver in Las Vegas costs US$95 an hour in a Business Sedan, US$120 in a Business SUV, US$145 in a First Class SUV and US$155 in a First Class Sedan, with a three-hour minimum. Prices include the chauffeur, the car, taxes and standard gratuity; tolls and parking are billed at cost.
That hourly rate is "as directed": the chauffeur takes you where you ask, waits while you are inside and moves on when you are ready, within the booked time. For a plan with a clear shape, the packages are simpler.
| Package | Business Sedan | Business SUV | First Class SUV | First Class Sedan |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| By the hour, 3-hour minimum | US$95 per hour | US$120 per hour | US$145 per hour | US$155 per hour |
| Private city highlights tour, 4 hours | US$380 | US$480 | US$580 | US$620 |
| Evening out and event night, 5 hours | US$475 | US$600 | US$725 | US$775 |
| Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, 6 hours | US$525 | US$665 | US$805 | US$860 |
| Full-day chauffeur, 8 hours | US$700 | US$885 | US$1,070 | US$1,145 |
| Corporate roadshow day, 10 hours | US$855 | US$1,080 | US$1,305 | US$1,395 |
All of these, plus the airport rides, sit on the Las Vegas price list. For a plan that does not fit a package, the web booker prices your own stops and hours before you pay.

Choosing the car: four classes, four kinds of day
Business Sedan (up to 3 passengers, 2 bags). An E-Class, CT6, Continental or similar. The value choice for one or two people: a shopping afternoon, a business lunch, a run out to a golf course with a single bag.
First Class Sedan (up to 3, 2 bags). A Mercedes-Benz S-Class or similar, with a quieter, roomier rear cabin. The car for an anniversary dinner, a client you are hosting or the arrival that matters. It costs US$60 an hour more than the Business Sedan.
Business SUV (up to 6, 6 bags). A Suburban, Yukon XL or similar. Families, four golfers, anyone with shopping bags or show materials. At US$120 an hour, four friends pay US$30 each per hour.
First Class SUV (up to 6, 6 bags). An Escalade, Navigator or similar, the premium choice for the same capacity. Interestingly, on the Las Vegas list it is US$10 an hour less than the First Class Sedan, so a couple who want space and a high seat for desert views may prefer it.
Our fleet page shows each car, and for groups of seven or more, our Las Vegas limo transportation guide covers Sprinters and stretches.
Hourly or package: the maths
The hourly rate and the packages line up in a way worth knowing before you book.
- Four or five hours: no difference. The four-hour city highlights tour and the five-hour evening cost exactly the hourly rate times four or five. Choose whichever describes your plan.
- Six hours: the Hoover Dam package saves. In a Business Sedan, six hours as directed would be US$570; the six-hour Hoover Dam and Lake Mead package is US$525.
- Eight hours: the full day saves US$60 to US$95. A Business Sedan full day is US$700 instead of US$760 at the hourly rate; a First Class Sedan full day is US$1,145 instead of US$1,240.
- Ten hours: the roadshow day saves the most. US$855 in a Business Sedan instead of US$950, and US$1,395 in a First Class Sedan instead of US$1,550.
The rule of thumb: book by the hour for three to five hours with an open plan, and take the package as soon as the day reaches six hours or more.
Trips a private driver suits best
A day out to the canyons. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, managed by the Bureau of Land Management, sits west of Summerlin; Valley of Fire State Park is farther out, north-east of the city. Both reward a car that waits at each viewpoint while you walk, which makes the eight-hour full day the right package. The desert is hot for much of the year; carry water.
Hoover Dam without a tour bus. The six-hour package runs past Henderson and Boulder City to Hoover Dam, with time at the visitor centre and the crest, and Lake Mead viewpoints on the return. You leave when you want and stop where you like.
Shopping and spa days. Several resort stops in one afternoon, with bags left in the car between them. Four hours by the hour usually covers it.
Dinner and a show. The five-hour evening package keeps the chauffeur waiting at the restaurant and the theatre. The pickup after the show is the moment that matters: the car is staged at an agreed spot while the taxi line forms.
Golf. A Business SUV for four players with clubs, or a sedan for one or two. The chauffeur waits through the round or returns at a set time.
Business days. Meetings across the Strip, Downtown and Summerlin, with the car parked nearby. For travel managers booking this for executives, our Las Vegas executive car service guide covers accounts and invoicing.
Private flights. If you are flying into Henderson Executive (HND) or North Las Vegas (VGT), the private driver can start at the FBO. HND to the Strip is listed from US$155 in a Business Sedan and VGT from US$125; see private jet and FBO transfers.
Three sample days and what they cost
These are the kinds of days the desk books most often, with the package we would choose and the all-in price.
| The day | Car and booking | All-in price |
|---|---|---|
| Couple: spa and lunch at a Henderson resort, then dinner on the Strip | First Class Sedan, 5-hour evening out | US$775 |
| Family of five: Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, back for the pool | Business SUV, 6-hour day trip | US$665 |
| Two friends: Red Rock in the morning, Valley of Fire after lunch | Business Sedan, 8-hour full day | US$700 |
| Executive: three meetings and a client dinner | First Class Sedan, 10-hour roadshow day | US$1,395 |
| Solo traveller: outlet shopping and a late lunch | Business Sedan, 3 hours by the hour | US$285 |
Each row is the price for the car, not per person, with gratuity included. Two friends on the canyon day pay US$350 each for eight hours of driving and waiting in the desert, and they set their own pace from the first viewpoint to the last.
A word on timing. In the warmer months, canyon days work best early, so a 7 a.m. pickup is normal. Evening packages work best when the start time is set by the dinner reservation, not the show, because the drive to the restaurant is the leg most affected by Strip traffic. Tell the desk both times and the chauffeur builds the evening backwards from them.
Private driver vs rideshare by the ride
An app ride is a sensible choice for a single hop at a quiet hour. A private driver wins when the day has several stops, because you are not waiting for a new car each time and paying a fresh, demand-based price at every pickup. It wins at the end of a show or a game, when app prices and pickup queues rise together, and when you are carrying shopping, golf bags or a child seat. Our Uber Black vs a pre-booked chauffeur page explains the difference in service, and Uber at Las Vegas airport covers the airport side.
What to check before you book any private driver
Is the carrier licensed? The Nevada Transportation Authority regulates for-hire passenger carriers and transportation network companies in Nevada, and its website includes a certificate check. Every Elly8.net partner is licensed and commercially insured, and partner vehicles are four model years old or newer.
Is the price all-in? Ask whether gratuity, fuel and taxes are included. With Elly8.net, gratuity and taxes are in the price; tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost.
Where will the car wait? Resorts set their own rules for private cars, and big properties have several entrances. The chauffeur confirms the exact pickup spot at each stop.
What happens if the day runs long? On hourly bookings, extra time is billed at the same hourly rate, and the desk tells you before it starts.
Can you keep it confidential? NDAs are available on request, which matters for executives and well-known guests.
Child seats? Available on request with each child's age and weight.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a private driver in Las Vegas for a full day?
The eight-hour full-day chauffeur costs US$700 in a Business Sedan, US$885 in a Business SUV, US$1,070 in a First Class SUV and US$1,145 in a First Class Sedan, all-in with gratuity. That is less than eight hours at the hourly rate. Tolls, parking and time beyond eight hours are billed at cost.
What does "as directed" mean?
It means the chauffeur takes you wherever you ask within the booked time, waits while you are inside and moves on when you are ready. You do not need to give every stop in advance, although sharing the plan helps the chauffeur choose routes around traffic, shows and events.
Is there a minimum booking time?
Yes, three hours for hourly bookings, from US$285 in a Business Sedan. The packages have their own lengths: four hours for the city highlights tour, five for the evening out, six for Hoover Dam, eight for the full day and ten for the roadshow day.
Can a private driver take us to Hoover Dam?
Yes. The six-hour Hoover Dam and Lake Mead package costs from US$525 in a Business Sedan to US$860 in a First Class Sedan. The chauffeur collects you at your hotel, drives past Boulder City to the dam, waits during your visit and can add Lake Mead viewpoints on the way back.
Do I need to tip the driver?
Standard gratuity is already included in every Elly8.net price, so there is nothing to add at the end of the day. Some guests choose to tip extra for a long or complicated day, but it is never expected or required.
How do I check that a Las Vegas driver is legitimate?
In Nevada, the Nevada Transportation Authority regulates for-hire passenger carriers and offers an online certificate check. Elly8.net books only licensed, commercially insured local partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network, and your chauffeur's name and vehicle details arrive by email before pickup.
