An HPN car service is a short, simple airport transfer, and the details are what make it smooth: the right vehicle for your luggage, the right pickup time for an early flight, and a meet-and-greet that avoids the strict curb at Westchester County Airport. With Elly8.net, HPN to White Plains is fixed at US$130 in a Business Sedan, US$170 in a Business SUV and US$340 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle and all-in, in either direction.
This guide is the checklist our desk runs through on every HPN booking. It covers meet-and-greet, luggage by vehicle, departure timing, private aviation at the FBOs, and the information that saves a phone call on the day.
What does meet-and-greet at HPN include?
At HPN, meet-and-greet means the chauffeur tracks your flight, waits inside the arrivals hall by baggage claim with a name board, helps with bags and walks you to the car. Complimentary waiting applies after a tracked landing. It is included in every Elly8.net airport fare, from US$130 to White Plains.
There is no separate fee for meet-and-greet on an Elly8.net airport fare. The price includes the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and the meeting inside the terminal; tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost.

Meet-and-greet: the details that matter
The name on the board. By default the board shows the passenger's name. For executives and VIP guests, many assistants prefer a company name or a first name only; tell the desk when you book. For a group, give the lead passenger's name and mobile number.
Where to look. The HPN terminal is small. Arriving passengers collect bags in the arrivals hall, where the baggage belt, the airline baggage office and six car rental desks sit, according to the airport's terminal services page. The chauffeur waits in that hall, by baggage claim.
Why not the curb. The airport says curb space in front of the main terminal is limited, vehicles may not wait or idle, standing vehicles are ticketed and unattended ones are towed. Meeting inside means you are not hunting for a car circling the loop.
No checked bags. Tell the desk. You can walk straight to the chauffeur and be on the road a few minutes after the doors open.
Delays and diversions. The flight is tracked, so the pickup follows the actual landing. If weather diverts the flight to another airport, call the desk and the booking is moved.
Our meet and greet page explains the service across all Elly8.net cities, and the Westchester airport car service walkthrough follows an HPN arrival step by step, with drive times to every town.
Travellers who need assistance
The airport's terminal services page says wheelchairs and other assistance for passengers with special needs are available, and asks passengers to contact their airline before arriving. Arrange that with the airline first, then tell the desk when you book a car: the chauffeur can meet you where the airline's assistance team brings you, help with bags and allow extra time at the car. If a passenger travels with a folding wheelchair or a walker, list it with the luggage so the right vehicle is sent; an SUV usually has the space. For a departure, mention it again so the pickup leaves enough margin for the assistance check-in at the airport.
Luggage: which vehicle fits your bags
Most HPN mistakes are luggage mistakes: a sedan booked for two people who turn up with two large cases, two carry-ons and a set of golf clubs. Use bags, not just passengers, to choose.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Large bags | HPN to White Plains | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Business Sedan | up to 3 | 2 | US$130 | Business trips, couples with light luggage |
| First Class Sedan | up to 3 | 2 | US$230 | Executives, VIP guests |
| Business SUV or van | up to 6 | 6 | US$170 | Families, golf bags, two weeks of luggage |
| First Class SUV | up to 6 | 6 | US$210 | Families who want the premium SUV |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | 12 | US$340 | Groups, wedding guests, teams |
| Jet Sprinter | up to 6 | 4 | Web booker | VIP groups wanting captain's chairs |
| Mercedes-Maybach or Rolls-Royce | up to 2 | 2 | Web booker | Arrivals that matter |
Capacities are from our fleet page. Some practical rules from the desk:
- Golf bags count as large bags. Two golfers with clubs and cases need an SUV. Many HPN routes serve Florida and the Carolinas, so this comes up every spring and autumn.
- Strollers and car seats take trunk space. A family of four with a stroller and two cases is an SUV, not a sedan. Child seats are available on request and fitted before pickup.
- Oversized items, such as a bicycle case or a large musical instrument, should be mentioned at booking so the desk can confirm the vehicle.
The difference between a sedan and an SUV from HPN to White Plains is US$40. It is the cheapest insurance against a luggage problem.
Departures: when to be picked up
The airport's airline page encourages passengers to arrive two hours before departure, and notes that the main terminal is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Work back from that.
| Pickup from | Clear-road drive to HPN | Pickup time for a 7:00 am flight | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| White Plains | about 13 min | about 4:40 am | Quiet roads at that hour |
| Purchase or Armonk | about 10 min | about 4:45 am | Closest towns to the airport |
| Greenwich, CT | about 15 min | about 4:40 am | Add time if your street is remote |
| Scarsdale or Rye | about 17 to 18 min | about 4:35 am | |
| Bedford | about 21 min | about 4:30 am | |
| Tarrytown | about 24 min | about 4:30 am | Add time in fog or snow |
Those times assume the two-hour guideline and an empty road. For a mid-afternoon flight, add margin for traffic on Interstate 287 and the parkways. In winter, the desk adds time when snow is forecast. For return trips, the same fixed fare applies in reverse, and a round trip is listed from US$250 in a Business Sedan to US$650 in an Executive Sprinter.
Should you drive yourself and park? The airport's parking page lists 2026 garage rates of US$4.38 per half hour up to US$36.47 per day, and US$20.88 a day in the long-term lot for stays over three days. For a long trip, a round-trip car can cost less than the garage, and nobody has to drive at 4:30 am.
Peak days and seasonal routes
HPN's schedule changes with the seasons. The airport's airline list shows seasonal routes such as American to Miami, Breeze to Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, Sarasota and Savannah, and JetBlue to Nantucket, alongside year-round service. Those seasonal flights bring predictable busy periods: Florida departures with golf bags in late autumn and winter, beach-bag arrivals in summer, and full flights around school holidays and Thanksgiving.
On those days, three habits help:
- Book early. SUVs and Sprinters are the first vehicles to go on holiday weekends. The published price does not rise; availability is the constraint.
- Book both legs at once. A round trip fixes the return price and the return pickup, so the only thing to confirm later is the flight number if it changes.
- Keep the flight number current. If the airline moves you to another flight, update the booking or call the desk, so the chauffeur tracks the right aircraft.
For a corporate team flying out together, one reservation can cover several vehicles from different addresses to the same flight, invoiced together on a corporate account.
Private aviation: FBO pickups at HPN
HPN is one of the busiest business aviation airports in the region. The county's flight services page lists Million Air, Atlantic Aviation and Signature Flight Support as full-service FBOs, and Tradewind Aviation's shuttle flights to Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, Boston, Stowe and Deerfield Valley.
For an FBO pickup, give the desk:
- The FBO name. The car goes to the FBO, not the main terminal.
- The tail number or operator and flight, and the estimated arrival time.
- Passenger and bag count, including crew if they are also being collected.
- Any security or NDA requirements. NDAs are available on request.
The car is staged at the FBO before the aircraft arrives, subject to the FBO's ramp rules on the day, and the pickup moves with the actual arrival time. See private jet and FBO transfers for crew and passenger transfers in other cities.
The information that saves a phone call
When you book an HPN car, include:
- Flight number and date, or the FBO and tail number.
- Every passenger's name for the board, and the lead passenger's mobile number.
- Bags by type: large cases, carry-ons, golf bags, strollers, oversized items.
- Child seats needed, with each child's age and weight.
- The full destination address, including gate codes or private-road instructions.
- Any stop on the way.
For companies, a corporate account saves traveller profiles so assistants do not repeat this every time, and invoices monthly. Hotels in the county that book cars for guests can use a hotel partner account, and travel advisers can book through the travel agent programme.
When a taxi or the bus is fine
A pre-booked car is not the only sensible way out of HPN. Bee-Line route 12 runs between the terminal and the White Plains TransCenter for US$2.75, and licensed taxis can be called to the airport. For one person with a carry-on heading to downtown White Plains in daytime, the bus is excellent value. Our Westchester airport taxi guide compares every option honestly, and the JFK to Westchester guide covers the longer run from JFK.
