THE PLAYERS Championship 2027 returns to THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass, Ponte Vedra Beach, from March 9 to 14, 2027, according to the official tournament site. The PGA TOUR calls it its premier event, and the Stadium Course, with the island green on the 17th, draws one of the biggest crowds of the golf season. The PGA TOUR's 2027 schedule places it in the week of March 8 to 14, straight after the Cadillac Championship in Miami, and the 2026 edition was won by Cameron Young, according to the PGA TOUR.
For six days, fans, corporate hospitality guests, sponsors and players' families travel to Ponte Vedra from Jacksonville International Airport, downtown Jacksonville, the beaches and St. Augustine. Where do cars drop off at THE PLAYERS?
At the most recent edition, rideshare and drop-off cars used the Couples Entry off ATP Boulevard, a few steps from the 15th hole, while general parking was off CR 210 with a paid pass for each day. - Gates open at 7:30 a.m. each day.
- Parking is not included with tickets. A separate parking pass is needed for each day of championship week, Tuesday through Sunday, and must be bought online in advance. Tickets and parking are dynamically priced, so prices can move with demand, and general parking on the busiest days can sell out. The general parking lot is off CR 210.
- Rideshare drops off and picks up at the Couples Entry off ATP Boulevard, just steps from the 15th hole. Free fan lockers sit at the Nicklaus Entry, by the main parking lot, and the Couples Entry, by the rideshare area.
- Bikes and golf carts enter from PGA TOUR Boulevard by the Sawgrass Marriott.
So a chauffeured car uses the same designated drop-off as other private rides; it does not get its own gate. What it removes is the parking pass, the walk from the lot and the wait for an app car after play, because your chauffeur is already there at the agreed time. Championship week, day by day
Spectator days run from Tuesday, March 9, the first day the tournament requires a parking pass, to Sunday, March 14, when the final round is played. The weekend is the busiest, and Sunday afternoon ends with almost everyone leaving at once. Corporate hospitality, sold through the tournament's hospitality programme, means many guests arrive with a host for one or two days and expect the car to be ready when they leave.

Those are clear-road times. In the morning before gates and in the late afternoon when play ends, the roads into Ponte Vedra Beach are congested, and the drives take longer. The fixed price does not change with traffic.
The plan for THE PLAYERS
Arrival at JAX. JAX is a single-terminal airport. According to its ground transportation page, taxis and shared rides are handled from booths on the Lower Level outside baggage claim, app rides are requested at the kerb by Poles 1 and 2, and pre-arranged transportation picks up in the Ground Transportation Area. Your chauffeur tracks the flight and meets you with a name board, with complimentary waiting after a tracked landing; see airport transfers. Tournament days. A chauffeur by the hour, from US$95 in a business sedan with a 3-hour minimum, takes you from the hotel to the designated drop-off and either waits or returns at an agreed time. If you are coming for the morning wave and leaving for a lunch meeting, that is one booking. Hospitality hosts usually book the full day, 8 hours from US$700 in a business sedan to US$1,400 in an Executive Sprinter, so one chauffeur covers the morning drop, the afternoon return and the dinner.
Evenings. The 5-hour evening out and event night package, from US$475 in a business sedan to US$950 in an Executive Sprinter, covers a dinner at the beaches, in San Marco or in St. Augustine and the ride back.
Groups and corporate hosts. An Executive Sprinter with driver takes a client group in one vehicle at US$190 an hour as directed. Honest alternatives: parking, rideshare, taxi, bus
Drive and park. For a local fan with a parking pass for the day, driving in is straightforward. Buy the pass early: it is dynamically priced, and the busiest days can sell out.
Rideshare. The tournament itself points fans to rideshare, with the drop-off and pickup at the Couples Entry. For a morning drop from a beach hotel, that works well. After play on Saturday and Sunday, when thousands leave together, waits and app prices rise with demand.
Taxi and bus. Taxis wait at JAX. The Jacksonville Transportation Authority publishes a US$1.75 regular bus fare, fine for a budget traveller with time; check its trip planner before you rely on it for Ponte Vedra.
Bike or golf cart. Guests staying close to TPC Sawgrass can use the free bike and golf cart parking reached from PGA TOUR Boulevard.
