Pitti Immagine Uomo 111 runs from Tuesday 12 to Friday 15 January 2027 at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, according to Pitti Immagine. The fair opens from 9 am to 6 pm on the first three days and from 9 am to 4 pm on the last, and Pitti has named Dunhill and Kartik Research as guest designers for this edition. For four days the city's hotels, showrooms and restaurants fill with menswear buyers, brands, press and stylists, many of them flying in from North America.
Elly8.net books Pitti Uomo transportation as a plan for the week: a chauffeur at Florence Peretola or Pisa on arrival, a car for the short but awkward runs between hotels inside the old city and the Fortezza, and a chauffeur by the hour for off-site showrooms, presentations and dinners. Florence prices are fixed, all-in and charged in US dollars, and the price list does not change for the fair.
How do you get to the Fortezza da Basso during Pitti Uomo?
The Fortezza sits on the edge of the historic centre, about 250 metres from Santa Maria Novella station, so many guests walk. A pre-booked chauffeur is the better choice for airport arrivals, hotels deep inside the limited traffic zone, sample cases, off-site appointments and evening events, when taxis at the fair are hard to find.
Florence is compact, which is both the good news and the problem. Distances are short, but the historic centre is a limited traffic zone (ZTL) with access controlled at its gates, many streets are narrow, one-way or pedestrian, and the avenues around the Fortezza carry the city's ring traffic. A licensed local chauffeur knows which approaches are legal at which hour and plans the closest drop-off to your hotel and to the fair.
At closing time, thousands of visitors leave the Fortezza at once, and the taxi rank and the nearby streets fill. A chauffeur waiting at an agreed point near the entrance is the difference between being at dinner on time and standing on Viale Filippo Strozzi in the January cold.

Arriving in Florence: Peretola or Pisa
Florence has two airports on the price list, each priced to the historic centre, per vehicle and all-in:
| Airport | Distance to the centre | Business Sedan | Business Van | First Class Sedan | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Florence Peretola (FLR) | 7 km (5 mi), about 15 min clear | US$105 | US$140 | US$185 | US$275 |
| Pisa International (PSA) | 83 km (51 mi), about 87 min clear | US$305 | US$400 | US$535 | US$795 |
Peretola (FLR). Florence's own airport, about 4 km from the city centre according to Pitti, is the quickest arrival, with connections to major European cities, so travellers from North America usually connect in Europe. The chauffeur tracks your connecting flight, meets you in arrivals with a name board and waits at no charge after a tracked landing. Round trips start at US$200 in a business sedan.
Pisa (PSA). Pisa's Galileo Galilei airport is about 87 minutes from Florence on a clear road and suits some itineraries better. A fixed transfer costs from US$305 in a business sedan to US$795 in an Executive Sprinter, with round trips from US$580. Pitti Immagine notes that it offers registered buyers a free one-way train ticket from Florence to Pisa Airport, collected at the travel desk at the Fortezza. That is a good option for one buyer with a carry-on; for a team with sample cases or an early flight, a car from your hotel to the Pisa terminal is simpler.
Some guests arrive by high-speed train at Santa Maria Novella from Rome or Milan. See train station transfers, airport transfers and meet and greet.
Hotels inside the limited traffic zone
Many Pitti guests stay inside the historic centre, along the Arno, near Piazza della Repubblica or in the Oltrarno, and a few stay in villas in the hills. Each has its own approach for a car.
Give the desk the exact hotel or apartment address. The partner plans the closest legal approach for the time of day, whether that is the hotel door, a side street or the nearest square a car can use, and the chauffeur helps with luggage for any final stretch on foot. A self-drive rental is a poor fit for a fair week in central Florence: the ZTL boundary is easy to cross by mistake, and parking near the Fortezza is limited. Read chauffeur vs car rental for the full comparison.
The fair-day plan with a chauffeur by the hour
Morning. The chauffeur collects you at your hotel and drops you at the Fortezza as close to the entrance as traffic staff allow. If your hotel is a short walk away, you may only want the car from midday.
Showrooms and presentations. Pitti week is not only the Fortezza. Brands hold presentations, showroom appointments and events across the city and in the hills, and the guest designer events are scheduled during the fair. A chauffeur by the hour moves you between them without searching for a taxi, from US$85 an hour in a business sedan, US$110 in a business van and US$170 in an Executive Sprinter, with a three-hour minimum.
Evening. Dinners and parties follow the close of the fair. The evening out and event night package keeps one car and chauffeur for five hours, from US$425 in a business sedan to US$850 in an Executive Sprinter. The chauffeur follows local rules on drinks in vehicles.
For a long day of fair, showrooms and dinner, the ten-hour corporate roadshow day is often the easiest booking; see roadshow chauffeur. For fewer hours, book by the hour. Our conference and trade show transportation page explains standby cars and multi-day plans.
Brands, buying teams and press
Brands and buying offices often run several cars to one plan: a First Class sedan for a principal, a business van for buyers, and an Executive Sprinter for a team moving samples between a hotel suite, a showroom and the Fortezza. An Executive Sprinter carries up to 12 passengers with bags; in Europe the business van is a Mercedes-Benz V-Class for up to six. The desk keeps every car under one reference and briefs each chauffeur on its part of the schedule. See group transportation and film and production transportation for shoots around the fair.
A corporate account puts the week on one monthly invoice with a reference per traveller, travel agencies can use travel-agent accounts, and hotels arranging cars for guests can use hotel accounts. NDAs are available on request. Elly8.net provides transportation, not security.

Honest alternatives: walking, the tram, taxis and the train
Florence's public options are good, and we would rather say so. For one buyer with a carry-on staying near Santa Maria Novella, walking to the Fortezza is quicker than any car.
| Option | Cost | Best for | Weak point in fair week |
|---|---|---|---|
| Walking | Free | Hotels near Santa Maria Novella | Rain, cold and sample cases |
| T2 tram from Peretola | €1.70 per person, 90 minutes | Solo travellers with light bags | A walk from the tram stop to many hotels |
| Taxi from Peretola | €28 fixed to the historic centre, before surcharges | Two travellers, normal bags | Queues at peak arrival times; scarce at fair closing |
| Train from Pisa | Free one-way for registered buyers to Pisa Airport, per Pitti | One buyer, light bag | Changes and timetables; no help with bags |
| Elly8.net chauffeur | FLR from US$105; by the hour from US$85 | Teams, principals, showroom days, dinners | Book early for fair week |
According to Feel Florence, the city's official tourism site, the T2 tram runs from the airport to the centre in about 20 minutes, every 5 minutes, and the airport taxi has a fixed fare of €28 to the historic centre, excluding luggage, night and holiday surcharges. From Pisa, Visit Tuscany describes the PisaMover shuttle to Pisa Centrale and the train on to Florence. A pre-booked chauffeur wins for teams with samples, late or early flights, villa hotels in the hills, and the evenings. For the general comparisons, see chauffeur vs taxi.
After the fair: Chianti, Milan and Paris
Buyers who stay a day often spend it in the Chianti hills. The signature Florence day trip, eight hours among the Chianti wineries, costs from US$630 in a business sedan to US$1,255 in an Executive Sprinter; see wine tours.
Many guests continue on the menswear calendar. The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode lists Paris Menswear Fall/Winter 2027-2028 from 19 to 24 January 2027. Elly8.net covers Milan, Paris, Venice, Rome and Lake Como, and a city-to-city car service or a train with a car on arrival connects them. More on Florence itself is on our Florence chauffeur service page. Flights and hotels can be booked through our travel partner BookingWorldwide.net; Elly8.net books the car.
