A Lake Tahoe party bus booking comes down to three numbers: how many people, how many hours, and how far the vehicle travels. On Elly8.net, party buses, stretch limousines and stretch SUV limousines are priced in the web booker for your date, route and hours. The fixed-price option for groups of up to twelve is the Executive Sprinter, at US$200 an hour with a 3-hour minimum, or US$1,000 for the 5-hour evening out and event night package, all-in with taxes and standard gratuity.
Tahoe adds complications most cities do not. South Lake Tahoe is in California and Stateline is in Nevada, so a night out can cross a state line several times. The lodges, restaurants and the casino resorts are strung along US-50 rather than packed into a downtown. And from November to April, snow can change the plan. Rides in Lake Tahoe are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
How much does a party bus cost at Lake Tahoe?
On Elly8.net, Tahoe party buses are priced in the web booker for your date, route and hours, all-in. For up to twelve people, the fixed-price Executive Sprinter costs US$200 an hour with a 3-hour minimum, US$600 for three hours, or US$1,000 for the 5-hour evening out package, about US$83 a head for twelve as arithmetic.
Prices are per vehicle, never per person. Dividing by the head count is useful for collecting money from the group, but the booking is for the vehicle and the hours.

Step 1: count the people
The head count chooses the vehicle. Capacities come from the Elly8.net fleet page.
| Group size | Vehicle | Passengers | How it is priced at Tahoe |
|---|---|---|---|
| up to 6 | Business SUV or First Class SUV | up to 6, with 6 bags | US$125 or US$150 an hour, fixed |
| 6 to 8 | Stretch Limousine | up to 8 | web booker, for your date |
| 8 to 12 | Executive Sprinter | up to 12, with 12 bags | US$200 an hour, fixed |
| 8 to 12 | Party Bus | up to 12 | web booker, for your date |
| 12 to 16 | Stretch SUV Limousine | up to 16 | web booker, for your date |
| more than 16 | two or more vehicles | combined | book together for the same times |
Count confirmed names a week before, not "around a dozen". A twelve-seat vehicle with fourteen people at the curb is a bad start to the night.
Which vehicle fits a Tahoe night? A party bus, with perimeter seating, lighting and sound, suits a group that wants the vehicle to be part of the celebration. An Executive Sprinter, with forward-facing seats, a high roof and luggage space, suits nights that involve real driving, ski gear, or an airport run at the start or end of the weekend. In winter, the Sprinter's luggage room and road manners matter more than the lights. Our party bus rental page explains the differences in general.
When two vehicles beat one. Tahoe groups are often split across rental houses in different towns. Two Business SUVs or two Sprinters that leave together and take different routes home at the end of the night save an hour of drop-offs on dark mountain roads. See group transportation.
Step 2: choose the hours
Distances at the lake are longer than people expect. The South Shore runs from Meyers through South Lake Tahoe to Stateline, and a North Shore house can be an hour or more from the casino resorts. Most Tahoe group bookings fall into one of four shapes.
Three hours: dinner and back. One restaurant or one show in Stateline, close to your lodging. Three hours is the hourly minimum, US$600 in an Executive Sprinter or US$375 in a Business SUV.
Five hours: the evening. Dinner, a show or a game, and a late return. The evening out and event night package is a 5-hour block, from US$500 in a Business Sedan and US$625 in a Business SUV to US$1,000 in an Executive Sprinter. This is the usual booking for birthdays and bachelor or bachelorette nights.
Eight hours: the ski or lake day. A group ski day with gear, lunch on the mountain and the ride back, or a summer day around the lake. The full-day chauffeur package is 8 hours, from US$740 in a Business Sedan and US$920 in a Business SUV to US$1,475 in an Executive Sprinter.
The whole weekend. Arrival from Reno-Tahoe International, a night out, a day on the mountain and the departure. The RNO to South Lake Tahoe transfer is a fixed fare, from US$385 in a Business Sedan to US$1,005 in an Executive Sprinter, and the other days are hourly. Our Sacramento to Lake Tahoe guide covers groups arriving from the west instead.
A rule that holds everywhere and more so at Tahoe: add 30 minutes to the plan. The first pickup always runs late, and in winter the roads add their own delay. Book the extra time at the start rather than trying to extend late at night.
Step 3: plan the route around the venues
Stateline's casino resorts. The Nevada side of the South Shore is where the showrooms, the late restaurants and the nightlife are. Give the desk the venue names when you book so the chauffeur knows which driveway or entrance to use for drop-off and pickup.
Tahoe Blue Event Center. The arena at 75 US-50 in Stateline, according to its plan-your-visit page, hosts the Tahoe Knight Monsters hockey team, with home games this season including November 19 to 21 and December 11 to 13, plus concerts and other events. On event nights, agree a pickup point a short walk from the doors with the desk in advance.
The Heavenly base area. The South Lake Tahoe side has the Heavenly base area, with restaurants and bars around it. Many groups start here and finish in Stateline, a few minutes' drive apart.
The North Shore. Kings Beach, Tahoe City and Incline Village are quieter and spread out. A North Shore night with a stop on the South Shore is a long round trip; plan it as five hours or more.
Rental houses. Many groups stay in vacation rentals on steep, narrow residential lanes. A full-size party bus cannot always reach the door, and in snow it may not try. Send the exact address and any gate code, and the desk will tell you whether the vehicle goes to the house or meets you at the nearest suitable spot.
Step 4: winter changes the plan
From late autumn to spring, snow is part of every Tahoe booking. On the California side, Caltrans posts chain controls on the mountain highways, and its chain controls page says drivers must stop and fit chains where signs require them. Nevada applies its own rules on its side. Large vehicles are slowed by controls like everyone else, and a closed pass closes for everyone.
Three things follow. Keep winter nights local where possible, on one shore rather than both. Choose the Sprinter or SUVs over a long, low vehicle when the forecast is bad. And keep the timing flexible: the desk watches the road reports and will contact you if a storm threatens the plan. The fixed price does not change because of weather; waiting beyond the included time is billed at cost.
Step 5: what it costs, worked through
| Night | Vehicle | Fixed price | Per head (arithmetic only) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3-hour dinner, 6 people | Business SUV | US$375 | about US$63 |
| 3-hour dinner, 12 people | Executive Sprinter | US$600 | US$50 |
| 5-hour evening, 6 people | Business SUV | US$625 | about US$104 |
| 5-hour evening, 12 people | Executive Sprinter | US$1,000 | about US$83 |
| 8-hour ski day, 12 people with gear | Executive Sprinter | US$1,475 | about US$123 |
| Any night, party bus or stretch | Party Bus or Stretch SUV Limousine | web booker | divide by your head count |
Every fixed price includes the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes and the standard gratuity. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. For the full price list, see the Lake Tahoe car service page, and for how limo and party bus pricing works in general, how much does a limo cost.
The questions to ask before you sign
Whoever you book with, at Tahoe or anywhere, ask these before you pay.
Is the operator licensed for this trip? In California, charter-party carriers are licensed by the California Public Utilities Commission, which describes them on its charter-party carriers page as carriers that charter vehicles for the exclusive use of an individual or group. In Nevada, the Nevada Transportation Authority regulates passenger carriers and offers a certificate check on its website. A night that starts in South Lake Tahoe and ends in Stateline involves both states.
What exactly is included? Ask whether the price includes the gratuity, taxes and fuel, and how the hours are counted. Elly8.net prices include the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity, and the price shown is for the hours you book.
What is the minimum, and what does extra time cost? Elly8.net's hourly minimum is three hours, and you can choose up to 12 hours at checkout.
What happens in a storm? Ask how the operator handles chain controls and closures, and what happens to the booking if the night has to move.
What is the cancellation policy? Elly8.net's is free more than 72 hours before pickup, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show, refunded to the original card.
What are the rules on board? Laws on alcohol in vehicles differ between states and situations, and the chauffeur follows the local rules on both sides of the line. Plan the celebration around the venues, not the vehicle, and if anyone in the group is under 21, tell the operator when you book.
Weddings, retreats and big weekends
Tahoe weddings bring guests through Reno and Sacramento into several lodges at once. The usual plan is a First Class SUV for the couple and one or two Executive Sprinters looping guests between the lodges, the ceremony and the reception; see wedding limousine and guest shuttles. Summer is busy too: the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament is usually held at Edgewood Tahoe in Stateline in July, and that week fills the South Shore. Company retreats follow the same pattern, with one invoice through a corporate account.
If the group is arriving from the Bay Area, our San Francisco to Lake Tahoe guide covers the drive and the timing.
How to book a Lake Tahoe party bus or Sprinter
- Enter the first pickup and the stops in the web booker, with the date and the number of hours. For a weekend, add the airport transfers as separate trips.
- Choose the vehicle. Executive Sprinter and SUVs show fixed hourly and package prices; party buses, stretch limousines and stretch SUV limousines show a price for your date.
- Reserve. Confirmation arrives by email, and the chauffeur's details follow before pickup. Send the final head count and any changes to the desk at least a few days ahead.

Frequently asked questions
How many people fit in a party bus at Lake Tahoe?
The party bus class on the Elly8.net fleet page seats up to 12, and larger buses may be available for your date in the web booker. The fixed-price Executive Sprinter also seats up to 12 with 12 bags. For 12 to 16, a Stretch SUV Limousine seats up to 16; beyond that, book two vehicles together.
How much is a Sprinter for a night out at Lake Tahoe?
US$200 an hour in an Executive Sprinter with a 3-hour minimum, so US$600 for three hours, or US$1,000 for the 5-hour evening out and event night package. Prices are per vehicle, fixed and all-in with taxes and standard gratuity. Tolls, parking and extra waiting are billed at cost.
Can a party bus cross from California to Nevada?
Yes, and at the South Shore most nights do, because South Lake Tahoe is in California and Stateline is in Nevada. Ask any operator whether it holds the authority for both states. California licenses charter-party carriers through the CPUC, and Nevada regulates passenger carriers through the Nevada Transportation Authority.
Do you run party buses in winter?
Yes, with the plan adjusted to the weather. Chain controls and pass closures affect every vehicle, so winter nights work best on one shore, in an Executive Sprinter or SUVs, with flexible timing. The desk watches road reports and will contact you if a storm threatens the booking.
Can the vehicle pick us up at a rental house?
Usually. Send the exact address and any gate code when you book. Some rentals are on steep or narrow lanes where a large vehicle cannot turn, especially in snow; in that case the desk arranges the nearest suitable pickup point and tells you in advance.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation more than 72 hours before pickup. At 72 hours or less the charge is 10%, at 48 hours or less 50%, and at 24 hours or less, or for a no-show, 100%. Refunds go back to the original card.
