A Calgary wedding limo plan usually has three parts: a car for the couple, a larger vehicle for the wedding party, and a way to move guests between hotels, the ceremony and the reception. Through Elly8.net, a First Class Sedan is US$180 an hour and an Executive Sprinter for up to twelve is US$220 an hour, both with a 3-hour minimum, fixed and all-in per vehicle. Stretch limousines, a Rolls-Royce and other signature cars are priced for your date in the web booker.
The vehicles are the easy part. What makes wedding transport work is the timeline: who needs to be where, at what time, and how much buffer the photographer will take. This guide from the Elly8.net reservations desk builds a typical Calgary wedding day hour by hour, matches vehicles to each leg, gives honest budgets, and covers the questions that change the plan, from Stampede-week dates to a ceremony in the Rockies. Elly8.net prices are in US dollars.
How much does a wedding limo cost in Calgary?
For a typical Calgary wedding, a First Class Sedan for the couple is US$180 an hour and an Executive Sprinter for the wedding party US$220 an hour, each with a 3-hour minimum. A full-day First Class Sedan is US$1,325. At these rates, the day's two main vehicles typically come to about US$900 to US$2,000.
That range is arithmetic from the published hourly prices: five hours of a First Class Sedan is US$900, and six hours of a First Class Sedan plus four hours of an Executive Sprinter is US$1,960. Your number depends on the hours, the number of vehicles and whether guests need shuttles. All Elly8.net prices include the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity; parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost.

A Calgary wedding-day transport timeline
Every wedding is different, but most Calgary days follow a pattern like this one. Use it as a starting template and adjust the times to your ceremony.
| Time | What happens | Vehicle | Planning note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12:30 p.m. | Pick up the wedding party at the getting-ready location | Executive Sprinter | Send every address to the desk in advance |
| 1:15 p.m. | Pick up the couple, or one partner, separately | First Class Sedan | Allow photos with the car before leaving |
| 2:00 p.m. | Arrive at the ceremony | Both | Arrive 15 to 20 minutes before the start |
| 3:00 p.m. | Ceremony ends; to the photo location | Both | Agree the photo stops before the day |
| 4:45 p.m. | To the reception venue | Both | The Sprinter can collect elderly relatives on the way |
| 5:30 p.m. | Reception begins | Sprinter released or on stand-by | Release vehicles you do not need |
| 10:30 p.m. | Send-off and the couple's ride to the hotel | First Class Sedan | Book the late car in advance |
In that example the First Class Sedan works two blocks, early afternoon and the late send-off, and the Sprinter works about four and a half hours. You can book the late car as a separate short booking rather than keeping a car waiting through dinner, which often saves money. The desk will price both options so you can compare.
Choosing the cars
The couple's car. A First Class Sedan, Mercedes-Benz S-Class or similar, is the most popular choice: elegant, comfortable in a wedding dress and easy to photograph. A First Class SUV, Escalade or Navigator class, at US$165 an hour, suits couples who want more headroom or a winter-ready vehicle. A Rolls-Royce or Mercedes-Maybach is priced in the web booker; those cars carry two passengers, and partner vehicles in those classes are seven model years old or newer, against four for every other class.
The wedding party. An Executive Sprinter carries up to twelve with room for bouquets, garment bags and the photographer's kit. A stretch limousine for up to eight or a stretch SUV limousine for up to sixteen is the traditional alternative, priced for your date in the web booker. Our comparison of black car vs limousine helps decide whether the stretch look matters to you.
Parents and grandparents. A Business SUV, US$140 an hour, is easy to climb into and has room for a walker or a wheelchair that folds. Tell the desk about mobility needs when you book.
Guests. For a reception away from the guest hotels, one or two Executive Sprinters running a loop between the hotel and the venue is usually cheaper and safer than everyone driving. See group transportation and the wedding limousine and guest shuttles service.
The fleet guide lists every class with seats and luggage space.
Typical budgets for three Calgary weddings
These examples use Elly8.net's fixed Calgary prices, per vehicle. They are arithmetic to help you plan, not packages.
| Wedding | Vehicles and hours | Total |
|---|---|---|
| Intimate city wedding | First Class Sedan, 5 hours | US$900 |
| Classic wedding, ceremony and reception in Calgary | First Class Sedan 6 hours + Executive Sprinter 4 hours | US$1,960 |
| Large wedding with guest shuttles | Full-day First Class Sedan + full-day Executive Sprinter + Executive Sprinter 4 hours for guests | US$3,825 |
| Out-of-town guests arriving at YYC | YYC to downtown, per vehicle | US$105 Business Sedan to US$275 Executive Sprinter |
A guest shuttle of twelve in a Sprinter for four hours, US$880, works out at about US$73 per guest. That division is for comparison only; Elly8.net never prices per person, and the fare is always per vehicle.
Calgary venues and what they mean for transport
Calgary weddings are spread across downtown hotels, historic venues inside the city, and ranches and resorts in the foothills and mountains. Each changes the drive and the timing.
Heritage Park. Heritage Park hosts weddings year-round on a 127-acre site beside the Glenmore Reservoir, which it describes as about 15 minutes from downtown Calgary. Couples can exchange vows on the Prince House Lawn or hold an evening ceremony aboard the S.S. Moyie steamboat. For a venue of that size, agree with the venue exactly where the cars should drop off and wait, and allow time to walk to the ceremony site.
Downtown hotels. Many receptions are in the downtown core, where the main hotels are a few blocks apart. Ballroom entrances and porte-cocheres are often on side streets, and the desk agrees the exact entrance for each pickup. A downtown reception also makes guest transport simple: one or two Sprinters looping from a suburban ceremony.
Foothills and ranch venues. Rural venues west and south of the city mean longer drives, sometimes on gravel, and very few taxis at the end of the night. Book guest shuttles for the return; nobody should be searching for a ride at midnight on a country road.
Banff and the mountains. A Rockies wedding typically brings guests in through YYC over a day or two. The one-way fare from YYC to the town of Banff is US$370 in a Business Sedan and US$965 in an Executive Sprinter; Banff and Lake Louise Tourism has the travel basics. Everyone stopping in the national park needs a pass: Parks Canada's fees page lists a daily adult pass at C$12.25 and a family or group pass at C$24.50 for up to seven people in one vehicle, not included in our fares. Our Banff car service page has the Lake Louise and Moraine Lake access rules, which matter for photo plans.
Guests arriving at YYC
Destination weddings and large families mean airport arrivals spread over a day. An Elly8.net airport transfer tracks each flight, and the chauffeur waits inside arrivals with a name board, with complimentary waiting after a tracked landing. Send the desk a list of guests and flight numbers and each pickup is set from the flight. For groups who arrive together, an Executive Sprinter from YYC to downtown is US$275 for up to twelve passengers and twelve bags. Our comparison of Calgary airport shuttles and private cars sets out the cheaper options for guests travelling alone.
Seasons and dates that change the plan
Stampede week. The Calgary Stampede runs from July 9 to 18, 2027. Hotels fill, roads around Stampede Park and downtown close for events, and cars across the city are in heavy demand. A wedding that week is entirely possible, but book every vehicle early and send the desk the full schedule.
Winter weddings. Snow and ice slow every route, and the first heavy snowfall of the season slows the whole city. Add buffer to every leg, choose SUVs or the Sprinter for higher ground clearance and wide doors, and plan a covered or cleared spot for photos with the car.
Summer Saturdays. Summer weekends tend to book up first, for vehicles as well as venues; book transport once the venue and date are confirmed.

Frequently asked questions
How many hours should we book a wedding car for?
Map the car against your timeline. Most couples need the car for the getting-ready pickup, the ceremony, photos and the drive to the reception, often four to six hours, plus a separate late booking for the send-off. Hourly Elly8.net bookings have a 3-hour minimum, and the desk will compare hourly blocks against a full day for you.
What is the best car for the couple?
A First Class Sedan, Mercedes-Benz S-Class or similar, is the most popular: elegant, comfortable in a gown and easy to photograph, at US$180 an hour in Calgary. A First Class SUV suits a winter wedding. A Rolls-Royce or Maybach, for two passengers, is priced for your date in the Elly8.net web booker.
Can you shuttle guests between the hotel and the reception?
Yes. One or two Executive Sprinters, each carrying up to twelve guests, can loop between a hotel and the venue on an hourly booking at US$220 an hour with a 3-hour minimum. For a rural or mountain venue, booking the return shuttle is the most important part, because there are few taxis late at night.
Do you provide transport for a Banff wedding?
Yes. Guests can be collected at YYC and driven to Banff for US$370 in a Business Sedan up to US$965 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle, and hourly cars in Banff are priced on the Banff page. Everyone stopping in the national park needs a Parks Canada pass, which is not included in the fare.
Is a wedding limo cheaper than everyone driving?
For the couple, the question is comfort and photos rather than cost. For guests, a shared Sprinter is often cheaper than many separate rides and removes the question of who drives home. Twelve guests in a Sprinter for four hours at US$880 is about US$73 each, as arithmetic for comparison only; the fare is per vehicle.
What is the cancellation policy for wedding bookings?
The same as every Elly8.net booking: free more than 72 hours before pickup, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or a no-show. Refunds go to the original card. If the date might move, tell the desk early.
