A BNA car service is the simplest airport ride in Nashville to get right, because the drive is short and the only real variables are timing, bags and group size. Nashville International Airport (BNA) is about 8 miles (14 km) from downtown and Broadway, roughly 16 minutes on a clear road. On Elly8.net that ride is a fixed, all-in fare from US$125 in a business sedan to US$325 in an Executive Sprinter, with meet and greet, taxes and standard gratuity included.
This walkthrough follows a real arrival from the moment you book to the moment the bags are in your hotel lobby, and covers the departure run back to BNA. Rides in Nashville are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
How does a BNA car service pickup work?
You book with your flight number, the desk tracks the flight, and the chauffeur waits in the baggage claim area with a name board once you land. After you collect bags, the chauffeur walks you to the vehicle at the designated pickup point and drives you to your address at the fixed price, with complimentary waiting after a tracked landing.
The rest of this guide is the detail behind that paragraph, step by step.
Before you fly: five things to send the desk
Most airport problems start with missing information. Put these in the booking:
- Flight number and date. This is what lets us track the flight. A departure city alone is not enough.
- Passenger count, including children. Capacity is firm: the vehicle is chosen for the real number of people.
- Bag count and anything oversized. Golf bags, guitar cases, strollers and garment bags for a wedding weekend all change the vehicle choice.
- Child seats. Ages or weights, so the right seat is fitted before pickup. Child seats are available on request.
- The exact drop-off. A hotel name, a full street address for a rental, or the building entrance for a Broadway hotel. Short-term rentals in East Nashville or the Gulch often share a name with a nearby building.
Add a mobile number that works on arrival. The chauffeur messages it when you land.
Step 1: the flight lands, early or late
Every airport pickup on Elly8.net is flight-tracked. If your flight lands 30 minutes early, the chauffeur is already there. If a connection through Atlanta or Dallas runs two hours late, the pickup follows the real landing rather than the original schedule, so you are not charged for a delay you did not cause. Complimentary waiting after a tracked landing gives you time to get off the plane and through baggage claim without watching the clock.
If your flight is cancelled and rebooked, send the new flight number to the desk. That is the one change we cannot see automatically.
Step 2: meeting in baggage claim
With meet and greet, the chauffeur waits in the baggage claim area with a name board showing the name on the booking. For groups, put the group leader's name on the booking, or a group name, so the board is easy to spot in a crowded hall on a Friday afternoon. Our airport meet and greet page explains the standard in full.
Prefer to meet at the curb? Say so in the notes. The chauffeur will message when in position, and you walk straight out with your bags. Curbside works well for business travellers with carry-ons; baggage claim meetings are better for families and first-time visitors.
Step 3: the walk to the vehicle
The chauffeur helps with bags and walks you to the vehicle at the designated pickup point. You do not need to find a ride app zone or join a queue. For the airport's own current guidance on terminal layout and ground transportation, check BNA's website before you travel, because airports change curb arrangements during construction.
If you see signs for the Ground Transportation Center, that is where public transport boards: WeGo's Route 18 airport bus picks up on Level 1 of the Terminal 2 Garage, according to WeGo Public Transit. Your chauffeur will lead you to the car, so you do not need to navigate it yourself.
Step 4: the drive into town
From BNA to downtown is usually I-40 west, about 8 miles (14 km), around 16 minutes when the road is clear. Weekday afternoon rush hour and Friday evenings, when many weekend groups land at once, can stretch that considerably, and event nights around Bridgestone Arena or the East Bank add more. Your fare is fixed when you book, so traffic changes your arrival time, not your price.
Many Nashville arrivals are not going downtown. Opryland is close to the airport, Brentwood and Franklin are south of the city, and Hendersonville is to the north-east. For any address that is not on the fixed price list, the web booker returns a fixed quote in seconds.
Step 5: the drop-off
Broadway and SoBro hotels sit on streets that close for events and fill with foot traffic on weekend nights. On those nights the chauffeur uses the closest legal stop, which may be a side entrance or a block away, and helps carry bags to the lobby door. Hotels in the Gulch and Midtown are usually easier. If your hotel has a specific motor entrance, add it to the notes.

Luggage and passengers by vehicle
The vehicle is chosen by people and bags together. These are the capacities used on Elly8.net, with the published BNA to downtown fares:
| Vehicle | Passengers | Bags | BNA to downtown | Round trip | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Business Sedan | up to 3 | 2 | US$125 | US$240 | One or two travellers with standard bags |
| First Class Sedan | up to 3 | 2 | US$220 | US$420 | Executives and client pickups |
| Business SUV | up to 6 | 6 | US$165 | US$315 | Families, golf bags, strollers |
| First Class SUV | up to 6 | 6 | US$200 | US$380 | VIP arrivals with luggage |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | 12 | US$325 | US$620 | Bachelorette and group arrivals |
A Jet Sprinter with captain's chairs, seating 6 with 4 bags, can be requested through the web booker for a more private group arrival. If you are near a limit, size up: three adults with three large cases are more comfortable in an SUV than a sedan, and the difference is US$40 on this route. See the fleet page for photos of each class.
Flat rate vs metered: why a fixed fare matters at BNA
A pre-booked fare is set before you travel. A taxi or rideshare fare is set on the day, by the meter or by the app at the moment you request it, and rideshare prices rise when demand spikes, which in Nashville means Friday evenings, event weekends and the hour after a stadium show. The fixed price also includes the gratuity, so there is nothing to calculate at the end of the ride.
That does not make a booked car the right answer for everyone. For one traveller with a backpack going downtown at midday, WeGo's Route 18 is hard to beat: the adult fare is US$2, valid as a two-hour pass with a QuickTicket or contactless payment, per WeGo's fare information, and WeGo says express trips take about 20 minutes. We compare the options in detail in Uber vs taxi vs private car from Nashville airport and in our guide to when a taxi from BNA is the better call.
Groups arriving on different flights
Weekend groups often land across several hours. The cleanest plan:
- One Sprinter for the main group, timed to the flight most people are on.
- A sedan or SUV for anyone landing much earlier or later, on the same reservation so the desk sees the whole picture.
- A shared meeting point at the hotel, rather than asking the early group to wait at the airport.
Split eight ways, the US$325 Sprinter fare is about US$41 a person, door to door with every bag in one vehicle. For the rest of the weekend, see our Nashville Sprinter van guide.
Families, golf trips and weekend groups: three worked examples
A family of five with a stroller. Two adults, three children, two large cases, two carry-ons and a stroller. A sedan is out on capacity alone. A Business SUV, US$165 one way, takes six people and six bags; list the children's ages so the right seats are fitted, and put the stroller in the bag count.
Four golfers with clubs. Four passengers and four golf bags, plus small cases. That is a Business SUV at minimum, and some groups choose the First Class SUV, US$200, for the extra comfort after a long flight. Tell the desk the bags are golf bags; they take more room than a suitcase.
A bachelorette group of ten. Ten passengers, ten cases, garment bags and a few shopping bags by Sunday. One Executive Sprinter, US$325, carries the whole group and its luggage. Two SUVs would also work but cost more and split the group. If two people land on a later flight, add a sedan from US$125 on the same reservation rather than holding the van.
In each case, the vehicle is confirmed before you pay. If the plan changes, such as an extra guest or a second set of clubs, message the desk before the trip and the vehicle can be changed.
The return trip to BNA
For departures, book the pickup with enough margin for traffic and for the airport itself. On a weekday afternoon, or a Sunday when weekend groups all fly home, leave more time than the clear-road 16 minutes suggests. The round trip fares above cover both directions at a saving on two single bookings, and the chauffeur drops you at the departures curb for your airline.
Conference travellers heading to Music City Center can book the convention-week arrival and departure together; for regular trips, an executive account adds monthly invoicing. Private flyers using a general aviation terminal should book our private jet and FBO car service with the tail number and FBO name.
Beyond Nashville
BNA arrivals sometimes continue to another city. Our city to city car service covers long runs, and Elly8.net also books Louisville, Memphis and Atlanta. All airport services are described on the airport transfers page.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a car service from BNA to downtown Nashville?
From US$125 in a business sedan, US$165 in a business SUV, US$200 in a First Class SUV, US$220 in a First Class Sedan and US$325 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle, one way. Prices are fixed and all-in, including meet and greet, taxes and standard gratuity. Tolls, parking and extra waiting are billed at cost.
Where does the chauffeur meet me at BNA?
In the baggage claim area, holding a name board with the name on the booking. After you collect your bags, the chauffeur walks you to the vehicle at the designated pickup point. If you prefer to meet at the curb, add that to the booking notes and the chauffeur will message you.
What if my flight is delayed?
We track the flight, so the pickup moves with the real landing time, and you receive complimentary waiting after a tracked landing. If your flight is cancelled and you are rebooked, send the new flight number to the desk, because a new flight cannot be tracked automatically.
How many bags fit in each vehicle?
Sedans take up to 3 passengers and 2 bags, SUVs up to 6 passengers and 6 bags, and the Executive Sprinter up to 12 passengers and 12 bags. Tell us about golf bags, instruments or strollers, and the desk confirms the vehicle before you pay.
Are child seats available for BNA pickups?
Yes, on request. Add the number of children with their ages or weights to the booking notes, and the desk confirms the seats with the local chauffeur partner before your trip. An SUV leaves room for a stroller and luggage alongside the seats.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation more than 72 hours before pickup. At 72 hours or less the charge is 10%, at 48 hours or less 50%, and at 24 hours or less, or a no-show, 100%. Refunds go to the original card. A delayed flight is not a no-show, because the pickup follows the tracked landing.
