Most Baltimore weddings need two or three vehicles: a car for the couple, a larger vehicle for the wedding party, and sometimes a guest shuttle when the ceremony and the reception are in different places. The exact number comes from the day's movements, not the guest count, and Baltimore's geography makes that easy to work out because most venues sit within a few miles of the harbour.
On Elly8.net, a First Class Sedan for the couple is US$155 an hour, a 12-seat Executive Sprinter for the wedding party US$190 an hour, and a Business SUV for parents or grandparents US$120 an hour, each with a three-hour minimum, fixed and all-in. Stretch limousines, Rolls-Royce and the stretch SUV limousine are priced in the web booker. Rides in Baltimore are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk.
How many cars does a Baltimore wedding need?
List every movement of the day and who makes it. Most couples need one car for themselves, one Executive Sprinter for a wedding party of up to 12, and a Business SUV if older relatives need door-to-door help. If ceremony and reception are apart, add one Sprinter per 12 guests who need a ride, or one Sprinter running loops.
Write the list in time order: who leaves the hotel, who goes to photographs, who rides to the ceremony, who goes on to the reception and who goes home early. Every line with a different time or a different group is a car, or a loop for a car that is already booked.

The vehicles Baltimore weddings use
| Vehicle | Passengers | Wedding job | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| First Class Sedan | up to 3 | the couple, quiet and formal | US$155 an hour |
| Rolls-Royce or Mercedes-Maybach | 2 | the couple, the photograph car | web booker |
| Stretch Limousine | up to 8 | a smaller wedding party | web booker |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 12 | wedding party or guest shuttle | US$190 an hour |
| Stretch SUV Limousine | up to 16 | a larger wedding party | web booker |
| Business SUV | up to 6 | parents, grandparents, a family with children | US$120 an hour |
The Sprinter is the practical choice for a wedding party that gets in and out all day: a high roof for dresses and suit jackets, forward seats and room for bouquets. The stretch limousine has the look many couples want in photographs, but on narrow Fells Point and Mount Vernon streets it can take longer to load. Partner vehicles are four model years or newer, and Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley seven or newer. Compare them on the fleet page, and see black car vs limousine for the trade-offs.
Three common Baltimore wedding layouts
Layout one: Mount Vernon ceremony, Harbor East reception. A church or historic venue around Mount Vernon Place, then a waterfront hotel or event space in Harbor East or the Inner Harbor. The drive is short, but downtown streets on a Saturday afternoon are slow, and the guests need to cross the city at the same time. Plan: the couple's car, a Sprinter for the wedding party, and one Sprinter for guests who are not driving, running two loops from the ceremony to the reception.
Layout two: everything at one waterfront hotel. Ceremony, cocktails and dinner in the same building. Guest shuttles are not needed. Plan: the couple's car for photographs at Federal Hill park or along the Fells Point waterfront and back, and a Sprinter if the wedding party joins the photos. This is the cheapest layout for transport.
Layout three: a countryside estate. Many Baltimore couples marry at estates and farms north and west of the city. Guests staying in downtown hotels cannot walk, and rideshare cars are scarce on rural roads late at night. Plan: the couple's car, a wedding-party Sprinter and guest Sprinters between the hotel block and the venue, with a fixed last departure.
For a historic backdrop, Fort McHenry National Monument and the Inner Harbor are near most downtown venues; check any site's photography rules before the day.
A simple formula for guest shuttles
One Executive Sprinter seats 12. For a single loop between one hotel and one venue, divide the number of guests who need a ride by 12 to get the number of loops. If the drive is about 15 minutes each way, a round trip with loading takes about 40 minutes, so one Sprinter moves roughly 24 guests in the hour before the ceremony.
- 24 guests: one Sprinter, two loops.
- 48 guests: two Sprinters, two loops each.
- 60 guests: three Sprinters. One Sprinter running five loops will make the last guests late.
At the end of the night, plan at least two return departures, one at the end of dinner and one at the close, so older guests are not waiting for the last dance. Our group transportation page covers multi-vehicle shuttles.
A Baltimore wedding day, costed
An example for a Mount Vernon ceremony at 3 p.m. and a Harbor East reception from 5 to 11 p.m., with 30 guests needing shuttles.
| Time | Movement | Vehicle | Hours booked | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 12:30 to 4:30 | couple: hotel, photos, ceremony, reception | First Class Sedan | 4 | US$620 |
| 1:30 to 5:00 | wedding party: hotel, photos, ceremony, reception | Executive Sprinter | 3.5 | US$665 |
| 2:00 to 5:30 | guests: hotel to ceremony, ceremony to reception, three loops | Executive Sprinter | 3.5 | US$665 |
| 9:00 to 12:00 | guests: two return runs to the hotel | Executive Sprinter | 3 | US$570 |
| 2:00 to 5:00 | grandparents: door to door | Business SUV | 3 | US$360 |
Total: US$2,880 for five bookings, all-in, with tolls and parking at cost. Each line is a separate vehicle priced per hour, and couples can trim it: drop the grandparents' SUV if they ride with family, or book a stretch limousine for the wedding party through the booker if the look matters more than headroom. Our Baltimore limo rental prices guide shows how to compare this against other quotes.
Baltimore dates that clash with weddings
Baltimore has a short, intense season when wedding cars compete with everything else.
May. The busiest month of the year for chauffeured vehicles. The Preakness Stakes returns to the rebuilt Pimlico Race Course on Sunday, May 23, 2027, according to Preakness.com, and race weekend takes many larger vehicles. In Annapolis, the Naval Academy's Commissioning Week usually falls in the second half of May, and university graduations and proms fill the same weekends. A May wedding should book its cars as soon as the venues are signed.
Football and baseball. Ravens home games in the autumn and Orioles home stands from spring to early autumn bring crowds and road closures around Camden Yards, next to the Inner Harbor hotels. If your reception is downtown on a game day, give the guest shuttles extra time and choose a drop-off away from Russell Street.
Convention weeks. Large events at the Baltimore Convention Center fill downtown hotels and book cars by the day. Check the centre's calendar before you choose a hotel block.
Autumn Saturdays. September and October weddings are popular and leave fewer Sprinters for late bookers.
When to book wedding cars in Baltimore
- As soon as venues are confirmed, reserve the couple's car and the wedding-party vehicle. Rolls-Royce, Maybach and stretch limousines are limited in every city.
- Three months ahead, finalise guest shuttles once RSVPs show how many guests need a ride.
- Two weeks ahead, send the desk the final timeline, addresses, names and the list of who rides where.
- The week of the wedding, confirm the photographer's locations with the chauffeur, and share the driver's contact details with the planner or a best friend, not the couple.
Booking early costs nothing extra. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup; 72 hours or less is 10%, 48 hours or less 50%, and 24 hours or less or a no-show 100%, refunded to the original card. You can adjust times and addresses while the plan settles.
Out-of-town guests arriving at BWI
BWI is about 10 miles (17 km) from the Inner Harbor, about 19 minutes on a clear road. Families flying in for the wedding can book a fixed BWI airport transfer to the hotel: US$135 in a business sedan, US$180 in a business SUV, US$355 in an Executive Sprinter for a group arriving together, the same price in either direction. The chauffeur meets the flight inside arrivals at baggage claim, as the BWI ground transportation pages describe the lower-level arrivals area, with complimentary waiting after a tracked landing. Planners booking many arrivals can use the travel agents partner account.
Common mistakes, and how to avoid them
- Booking by guest count instead of movements. Two hundred guests who drive themselves need no shuttle; forty guests in one hotel block need two Sprinters.
- No buffer for photographs. Add 30 minutes to the couple's car. Time beyond the booked block is billed at cost, but adding it at booking is easier than extending on the day.
- One shuttle for a late night. Plan two returns.
- Forgetting children. Child seats are available on request; give ages and weights at booking.
- A stretch where a Sprinter fits better. On narrow streets and for a party that gets in and out all day, a Sprinter saves time.
- Not checking the licence. Maryland passenger-for-hire carriers fall under the Maryland Public Service Commission. Every Elly8.net partner is licensed and commercially insured.
The chauffeur follows local rules on alcohol in vehicles; plan any toast for the venue, not the car.
How to book your Baltimore wedding transport
- Send each movement with the pickup, the stops and the drop-off, or choose by the hour for each vehicle.
- Choose the vehicle for each job: sedan, SUV and Sprinter from the price list, or a stretch, Rolls-Royce or Maybach in the booker.
- Reserve and receive the confirmations by email. The 24/7 desk keeps the plan in one place.
More planning detail is on our wedding limousine page. If the wedding party plans a night out before the big day, see the Baltimore party bus rental guide. Couples marrying elsewhere on the East Coast can plan the same way in Washington, DC, Philadelphia and Westchester and Greenwich. All Baltimore fares are on the Baltimore limo service page.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a wedding limo cost in Baltimore?
On Elly8.net a First Class Sedan is US$155 an hour, an Executive Sprinter US$190 an hour and a Business SUV US$120 an hour, three-hour minimum, all-in and per vehicle. Stretch limousines and Rolls-Royce are priced in the web booker. A typical day with three or four vehicles comes to roughly US$1,500 to US$3,000.
How early should we book wedding cars in Baltimore?
As soon as the ceremony and reception venues are confirmed, especially for May and autumn Saturdays. May is the hardest month because of the Preakness, Naval Academy Commissioning Week, graduations and proms. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup.
Do we need guest shuttles?
Only if guests are not driving themselves and the ceremony and reception are apart, or the venue is outside the city. One Executive Sprinter seats 12 and can run loops; for a 15-minute drive, one Sprinter moves about 24 guests in an hour.
What happens if the ceremony runs late?
The chauffeur waits. Time beyond the booked block is billed at cost for the time actually used. Adding 30 minutes of buffer when you book is the easiest way to avoid it.
Can you meet wedding guests at BWI?
Yes. Fixed BWI transfers to downtown hotels start at US$135 in a business sedan, with meet and greet inside arrivals and flight tracking. Groups arriving together can share an Executive Sprinter at US$355, the same price in either direction.
Can we bring champagne for a toast in the car?
The chauffeur follows Maryland law and the operator's rules on alcohol in vehicles, so plan the toast at the venue. We can time the car to wait while you take photographs and celebrate before the reception.
