Web Summit 2026 runs from Monday 9 to Thursday 12 November 2026 in Lisbon. The organiser lists the MEO Arena as the venue, and the FIL, the Feira Internacional de Lisboa next door, lists Web Summit in its halls for the same four days; both sit side by side in Parque das Nações on the city's eastern riverfront. Founders, investors, partners, press and speakers arrive from all over the world in the same few days, and every ticket also includes Night Summit.
Elly8.net plans Web Summit transportation around one simple fact: the venue is close, but the crowd moves at the same moment. A chauffeur meets you at Lisbon Airport, an hourly car takes you between your hotel, the arena and meetings in town, and the evening car is already waiting when the halls empty. Lisbon prices are fixed and all-in, and they do not change for the event.
How do you get to Web Summit in Parque das Nações?
From the airport it is a short run: about 5 km (3 mi) to the FIL, roughly 9 minutes on a clear road. From hotels on Avenida da Liberdade or in Chiado it is about 10 km (6 mi). Pre-book a chauffeur for the airport and for the close of each day, when taxi queues are longest, or take the metro to Oriente.
Parque das Nações was built for Expo 98, and it is laid out for crowds: wide avenues, the Oriente transport hub and the arena and exhibition halls in a row along the Tagus. On our routing the FIL is about 10 km (6 mi) and 14 minutes on a clear road from Avenida da Liberdade, where the Lisbon price list is centred. The problem is the timing. When the last talks end and the halls empty, thousands of people look for a taxi or an app ride in the same few streets, and Lisbon's evening traffic adds to it.
An hourly booking fixes that. The chauffeur drops you in the morning, holds nearby or returns at an agreed time, and collects you at a pickup point confirmed by text, so you walk to a car that already knows your next address.
Arriving at Lisbon Airport for Web Summit
Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) is unusually close to the city: about 13 km (8 mi) from Avenida da Liberdade, roughly 17 minutes on a clear road, and only about 5 km (3 mi) from the FIL. Many attendees land on the Sunday or Monday morning before opening, often on overnight flights from North America, and go straight to their hotel or to badge pickup.
The chauffeur tracks your flight, meets you inside arrivals with a name board and waits at no charge after a tracked landing; see how airport transfers and meet and greet work. Fixed airport prices, per vehicle and all-in:
| Route | Business Sedan | Business SUV | First Class Sedan | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LIS to Avenida da Liberdade | US$90 | US$120 | US$160 | US$235 |
| LIS round trip to Avenida da Liberdade | US$175 | US$230 | US$305 | US$450 |
| By the hour, as directed (3-hour minimum) | US$85 per hour | US$110 per hour | US$140 per hour | US$170 per hour |
If you are staying in Parque das Nações itself, or going straight from the plane to the venue, enter the address in the web booker; the fixed price appears before you pay. A First Class SUV is also listed from US$145 for the airport leg.
The Web Summit day plan
Morning. The car collects you at your hotel 30 to 45 minutes before your first session or meeting. From the Avenida da Liberdade, Chiado or the Baixa, that buffer covers the morning traffic towards the east of the city.
During the day. Web Summit is a meetings event as much as a stage programme. If you leave Parque das Nações for an investor lunch in the centre or a partner office, an hourly car takes you there and back while the chauffeur holds nearby. Our hourly chauffeur service in Lisbon starts at US$85 per hour in a business sedan, three hours minimum.
Evening. Night Summit, side events and private dinners spread across the city, from the riverfront to the old town. The evening out and event night package keeps one car and chauffeur for five hours, from US$425 in a business sedan to US$850 in an Executive Sprinter. If the evening starts at the venue and ends at a dinner in Chiado or Príncipe Real, tell the desk the order of stops and the chauffeur plans around them. The chauffeur follows local rules on drinks in vehicles.
For longer days, the packages are simpler, per vehicle and all-in:
| Package | Business Sedan | Business SUV | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|
| Evening out & event night (5 hours) | US$425 | US$550 | US$850 |
| Full-day chauffeur (8 hours) | US$630 | US$810 | US$1,255 |
| Corporate roadshow day (10 hours) | US$765 | US$990 | US$1,530 |
Investors and founders who stack meetings across the city often take the corporate roadshow day; see how a roadshow chauffeur schedules ten hours and several stops. Prices include the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet; tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost.
Startup teams, investor delegations and partner groups
Exhibiting startups and national delegations often move a team of eight to twelve with banners, laptops and samples. An Executive Sprinter carries up to 12 passengers with luggage, from US$235 for the airport leg and US$170 per hour in town. For a delegation that splits during the day, book one Sprinter for the group runs and sedans for the people with separate meetings, all under one reference. Read more on group transportation, Sprinter van hire with a driver and conference transportation.
Companies sending several people can open a corporate account with one monthly invoice and a reference per traveller. Travel managers and agencies can book for clients through travel-agent accounts, and government trade missions can read our approach to government and diplomatic transportation. The desk signs NDAs on request; Elly8.net provides transportation, not security.
Web Summit transport options compared honestly
| Option | Cost | Best for | Weak point |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lisbon Metro to Oriente | €1.90 Carris/Metro ticket, or €1.92 by contactless bank card | Solo attendees with a small bag, hotels near a metro line | Crowded at opening and closing; metro runs 6:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. |
| Walking within Parque das Nações | Free | Hotels in Parque das Nações | Only works if you stay nearby |
| Taxi | Metered | Off-peak single trips | Long queues at the close of each day |
| Rideshare | Dynamic pricing | Quick trips outside peak times | Surge and waits when the halls empty |
| Elly8.net chauffeur | From US$85 per hour, 3-hour minimum | Founders, investors, speakers, teams, back-to-back meetings | Book ahead; the week books out early |
The Lisbon Metro is a fair choice for many attendees. The airport has its own metro station, Aeroporto, and Oriente serves Parque das Nações. Metro de Lisboa lists the Carris/Metro single ticket at €1.90, a contactless bank-card metro journey at €1.92 and a 24-hour Carris/Metro ticket at €7.25, with trains from 6:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. every day. If you are travelling alone with a carry-on and your hotel is near a station, it is cheap and quick.
A pre-booked car is the better choice when you land with luggage at an awkward hour, travel as a team, host investors who should not stand in a taxi queue, need to be in three places in an afternoon or simply want a known price. There is no surge on a fixed price. For the general comparisons, see chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft and chauffeur vs taxi.
Hotels and the days around Web Summit
Web Summit books rooms through an official accommodation partner and warns that Lisbon hotels fill up for November, so most attendees choose between three bases: the Avenida da Liberdade and Marquês de Pombal area, Chiado and the Baixa, or Parque das Nações close to the venue. The first two put you near restaurants and the old town; the third puts you near the halls but further from the evening. A car on standby makes either choice work.
Many visitors stay on for a day. The signature Sintra and Cascais day trip (8 hours) is priced from US$630 in a business sedan to US$1,255 in an Executive Sprinter, and the private city highlights tour starts at US$340. Elly8.net also covers Porto, Madrid, Seville and Marbella and Malaga, and a city-to-city car service or a train with a car on arrival connects them. Flights and hotels can be booked through our travel partner BookingWorldwide.net; Elly8.net books the car.
Check the official Web Summit website for the schedule, the MEO Arena for the arena itself, and the FIL event calendar for other shows in Parque das Nações.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a car from Lisbon Airport during Web Summit?
The price does not change for the event. Lisbon Airport to Avenida da Liberdade is US$90 in a business sedan, US$120 in a business SUV and US$235 in an Executive Sprinter, all-in per vehicle with meet and greet. For hotels in Parque das Nações, the web booker shows the fixed price for the exact address.
How far is the Web Summit venue from the airport?
Very close. On our routing the FIL in Parque das Nações is about 5 km (3 mi) from the airport, roughly 9 minutes on a clear road, and about 10 km (6 mi) from Avenida da Liberdade. Traffic around opening and closing times adds to that, which is why a pre-booked pickup helps.
Can a chauffeur wait while I attend sessions?
Yes. Book by the hour from US$85 per hour in a business sedan, three hours minimum, or take the full-day chauffeur from US$630 for eight hours. The chauffeur holds nearby or returns at the time you set, and confirms the pickup point by text.
Should I use the metro instead?
If you are alone with a small bag and your hotel is near a metro station, the metro is cheap: €1.90 for a single Carris/Metro ticket, with Oriente serving Parque das Nações. A chauffeur is better for teams, luggage, late arrivals, investor hosting and evenings that cross the city.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 72 hours before pickup and it is free. At 72 hours or less the fee is 10%, at 48 hours or less 50%, and at 24 hours or less, or a no-show, 100%. Refunds go to the original card. Times and addresses can be changed through the 24/7 desk.
Can you move a startup team or a national delegation?
Yes. An Executive Sprinter carries up to 12 passengers and costs US$170 per hour in Lisbon. Larger groups book several vehicles under one reference, and corporate accounts receive one monthly invoice with a reference per traveller.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, on request when booked in advance. Tell the desk the child's age and weight so the right seat is fitted before pickup. Families staying on for Sintra and Cascais after the event often book the day trip with seats included.
When should I book Web Summit transportation?
Now. The event starts on 9 November 2026 and Lisbon has a fixed number of chauffeured vehicles for one of its busiest weeks. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup, so an early booking carries little risk.
