The transport problem in show week
One district, three busy days. The Anaheim Convention Center sits in the Anaheim Resort next to the Disneyland Resort, so convention traffic shares the streets with theme park visitors. When the halls close in the late afternoon, thousands of attendees look for a ride at once.
The resort bus has gone. Anaheim Regional Transportation (ART), the resort-area bus network that many past attendees used between hotels and the convention center, concluded all transit services on March 31, 2026, according to the operator's notice. Check what your hotel offers for 2027 before you rely on a bus, and do not assume the old routes still run.
Hotels spread across the county. The organiser books official hotels through onPeak, and many sell out. Exhibitors and buyers who stay in Garden Grove, Orange, Irvine, Costa Mesa or Newport Beach have a 12 to 17 mi (20 to 28 km) drive each way; on our routing Irvine is about 12 mi (20 km) and Newport Beach about 17 mi (28 km) from the convention center.
Meetings off the floor. Expo West is a deal-making show. Brand teams take buyers to dinner, investors run meetings in hotel suites, and retailers book visits to warehouses and offices. Each of those is a separate trip.
The plan for Expo West
Arrival. Book the SNA, LGB or LAX transfer with your flight number. At SNA, the airport's three terminals, A, B and C, are in one long building with arrivals on the lower level; according to John Wayne Airport, taxis wait at the Ground Transportation Center and Terminal C, and app rides use designated pickup areas. Walking. If you are staying in a hotel next to the convention center, walk. It is faster than any car at show close.
Hotel shuttles. Some hotels run their own shuttles; ask yours what it offers for 2027, since the ART resort buses no longer run. A hotel shuttle is good value for one person on a fixed schedule.
