Glastonbury Festival 2027 takes place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, in Somerset, from Wednesday 23 to Sunday 27 June 2027, as the festival confirms on its information page. General Admission tickets were priced at £408 including the booking fee, and the festival's 2027 ticket announcement now shows the 2027 tickets as sold out, with a resale of cancelled or returned tickets in spring 2027.
For international visitors, Glastonbury is a long way from anywhere you are likely to land. Worthy Farm is in rural Somerset, about 204 km (127 mi) from Mayfair by road and about 183 km (114 mi) from Heathrow, close to three hours on a clear road from central London. The final miles run on country roads that carry the whole festival in the same few days. Elly8.net books the London airport arrival, a chauffeured transfer from London or the airport to the festival's official Drop and Collect point, and the collection at the end, each at a fixed, all-in price shown before you pay.
How do you get to Glastonbury Festival by chauffeured car?
Book a one-way chauffeured transfer to the festival's Drop and Collect point, not to the gates or a lane nearby. The festival runs a 24-hour Drop and Collect service east of the site, with a bus to Pedestrian Gate A, open from 9 a.m. on the Tuesday before the festival until 8 p.m. on the Monday after.
The festival is emphatic about this. Its travel guidance tells visitors not to be dropped off on local roads or near vehicle gates, because it is dangerous for pedestrians and vehicles and leaves you with a long walk to the car parks and an even longer one to the gates. Instead, the 24-hour Drop and Collect point has a bus running continuously to and from Gate A. The festival says the Drop and Collect lies to the east of the site: head towards Evercreech on the A371 and follow the signs for Drop and Collect or DC.
That is exactly where your chauffeur goes. You give us the arrival day and time, we price the transfer from your London address or airport, and the chauffeur drives you to the Drop and Collect point, unloads your bags and leaves. On the way home, the same plan runs in reverse: you take the bus from Gate A to the Drop and Collect, and the chauffeur is waiting at the time you agreed.
Distances and drive times
| Route | Distance | Clear-road drive | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mayfair, London to Worthy Farm area | about 204 km (127 mi) | about 2 h 55 min | Fixed price in the web booker |
| Heathrow (LHR) to Worthy Farm area | about 183 km (114 mi) | about 2 h 25 min | Fixed price in the web booker |
| Bristol Airport to Worthy Farm area | about 43 km (27 mi) | about 50 min | Fixed price in the web booker |
| Heathrow to Mayfair | 26 km (16 mi) | about 35 min | US$195 business sedan, on the price list |
Clear-road times are a floor, not a forecast. The Wednesday arrival day and the Monday departure are the heaviest traffic of the week on the roads into Somerset, and the festival notes that the A361 is closed to through traffic on the Monday after the festival between Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet. We plan routes that keep away from the immediate festival area, as the festival advises, and build a margin into every pickup.
Arriving in the UK for Glastonbury
Most North American visitors fly into Heathrow. That leaves a choice: go straight from the airport to Somerset, or spend a night in London first. After an overnight flight, many people prefer a night in town, and the London price list covers that leg. Heathrow to Mayfair is fixed and all-in at US$195 in a business sedan, US$255 in a business SUV, US$345 in a First Class sedan and US$510 in an Executive Sprinter; a Heathrow round trip starts at US$375. Gatwick to Mayfair starts at US$340 and Stansted at US$335.
If you would rather go straight to the festival, the chauffeur meets you in arrivals with a name board, tracks the flight, and drives directly to the Drop and Collect point, with complimentary waiting after a tracked landing and room in an SUV or Sprinter for tents and camping kit. Enter Heathrow and the Drop and Collect in the web booker for a fixed price. Read how airport transfers and meet and greet work.
What Glastonbury transfers cost
Worthy Farm is outside the London price list, so each leg is priced address to address in the web booker, as a fixed, all-in fare for the vehicle you choose. For reference, the London packages for days in town before and after the festival, per vehicle and all-in:
| Package | Business Sedan | Business SUV | First Class Sedan | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| By the hour, as directed (3-hour minimum) | US$105 per hour | US$135 per hour | US$170 per hour | US$210 per hour |
| Full-day chauffeur (8 hours) | US$775 | US$995 | US$1,255 | US$1,550 |
| Corporate roadshow day (10 hours) | US$945 | US$1,215 | US$1,530 | US$1,890 |
| Day trip: Windsor Castle and the Cotswolds (10 hours) | US$970 | US$1,245 | US$1,565 | US$1,935 |
The usual booking is two one-way transfers: London or Heathrow to the Drop and Collect on the Wednesday or Thursday, and the Drop and Collect back to London or the airport on the Sunday night or Monday. Prices include the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes and standard gratuity; tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. They do not change for festival week. A one-way transfer means you are not paying for a car to sit in Somerset for five days.
June in England is busy for chauffeured cars, and the Monday after Glastonbury is one of the busiest days of the week for cars heading back to London. Book both legs as soon as you have tickets; cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup.
Choosing the vehicle: people and tents
Festival luggage is bulky. Rucksacks, tents, camping chairs and wellingtons do not fit a sedan boot for four people. A business SUV takes a couple or a small family with full camping kit. An Executive Sprinter seats up to 12 passengers with up to 12 bags, which makes it the natural choice for a group of friends: one vehicle, one price, everyone arriving together. Read about the Sprinter van with driver and group transportation.
The festival's own guidance points minibuses with fewer than 15 seats to the Drop and Collect point, which is how a Sprinter is handled. If your group needs more than 12 seats, book two vehicles under one reference and the desk times them to arrive together.
Children 12 and under do not need festival tickets, the festival says, but everyone aged 13 or over on 23 June 2027 does. Child seats are available on request in our vehicles; tell the desk the ages when you book.
Campervans, hospitality and corporate guests
Some visitors arrive in a hired campervan and only need a car for part of the trip, for example to collect a family member from the airport and bring them to the Drop and Collect. Others are guests of artists, sponsors or production companies with their own access arrangements. Tell the desk exactly what your pass or wristband allows, and the chauffeur follows those instructions; the festival sets the access rules and we work within them.
Companies sending crews or guests can open a corporate account for monthly invoicing with a reference per traveller, and agencies selling festival trips can use travel-agent accounts. Production teams should read film and production transportation, and the desk can sign an NDA on request for artists and VIP guests. Elly8.net provides transportation, not security.
The honest alternatives
Glastonbury actively encourages public transport and shared travel, and for many festival-goers those are the right choice.
| Option | What it involves | Best for | Weak point |
|---|---|---|---|
| Train to Castle Cary plus festival shuttle | Rail ticket; the festival runs a free shuttle bus from Castle Cary station throughout the festival | Solo travellers and couples with light kit | Book trains early; crowds on arrival and departure days |
| Official coach package | Ticket and coach sold together in a separate sale | Budget travel from UK towns | Must use your assigned coach; fixed times |
| Self-drive | Car parking pass required | UK drivers with a full car | Driving on the left, long queues, a long walk from the car parks |
| Elly8.net chauffeured transfer | Fixed price per vehicle, in the web booker | Families, groups, visitors from abroad, heavy kit | Book early; a two-way trip is two transfers |
The festival explains each option on its information page, including that the Festival Coach Station is beside Pedestrian Gate A and that it does not endorse or facilitate travel by helicopter, except for operational purposes. For two people with rucksacks, the train to Castle Cary and the free shuttle is good value. A chauffeur makes sense when you are flying in from abroad with jet lag and camping gear, travelling as a family or a group, carrying more than you can manage on a train, or simply want to be collected at the Drop and Collect on Monday rather than queuing at a station. Compare on chauffeur vs car rental and chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft.
Within London, the Heathrow Express remains the quickest way to Paddington for a solo traveller with light bags.
Before and after the festival
Many visitors spend a few days in London on either side. The Private city highlights tour starts at US$420 in a business sedan, the evening out and event night package at US$525, and the Windsor Castle and Cotswolds day trip at US$970; the Cotswolds lie roughly on the way west, which suits a slow return. All London prices are on the London car service page.
Elly8.net also covers Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin, and across the Channel Paris and Amsterdam. For long transfers between cities, see city-to-city car service and our approach to concert and festival transportation. Flights and hotels are booked through our travel partner BookingWorldwide.net; Elly8.net books the car.
How booking works
Rides from London are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. Partner vehicles are four model years old or newer, and seven or newer for Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Bentley. Elly8.net is a member of LWD, LAI, HWD and VWD: LimousineWorldwide.Directory, LimousineAssociation.International, HotelsWorldwide.Directory and VacationsWorldwide.Directory.

Frequently asked questions
When is Glastonbury Festival 2027?
From Wednesday 23 to Sunday 27 June 2027 at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset, according to the festival. The Drop and Collect point opens at 9 a.m. on the Tuesday before the festival and stays open until 8 p.m. on the Monday after.
Can a chauffeur drop us at the festival gates?
No. The festival asks that nobody is dropped off on local roads or near vehicle gates. Chauffeured cars go to the official 24-hour Drop and Collect point to the east of the site, where a bus runs continuously to and from Pedestrian Gate A.
How far is Glastonbury from London?
About 204 km (127 mi) from Mayfair by road, close to three hours on a clear road, and about 183 km (114 mi) from Heathrow. Arrival and departure days are much slower, so we plan a margin into every pickup.
How much does a London to Glastonbury transfer cost?
Worthy Farm is not on the London price list, so each leg is priced address to address in the web booker as a fixed, all-in fare for your vehicle, shown before you pay. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost. Prices do not change for festival week.
Which vehicle fits a group with tents?
An Executive Sprinter seats up to 12 passengers with up to 12 bags, which suits a group with camping kit. A business SUV fits a couple or small family with full gear. The festival directs minibuses with fewer than 15 seats to the Drop and Collect point.
Is the train to Castle Cary a better option?
For one or two people with rucksacks, often yes. The festival runs a free shuttle bus between Castle Cary station and the site throughout the festival. A chauffeured transfer suits families, groups, visitors with heavy kit and travellers coming straight from an overnight flight.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 72 hours before pickup and it is free. At 72 hours or less the fee is 10%, at 48 hours or less 50%, and at 24 hours or less, or a no-show, 100%. Refunds go to the original card.
