The Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada 2027 runs from 21 to 23 May 2027 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, on Ile Notre-Dame in Parc Jean-Drapeau, about 6 km (4 mi) by road from downtown Montreal. The circuit sits on an island in the St. Lawrence, no vehicle without a valid parking pass is permitted on site, and cars without one are kept off the Concorde Bridge and Avenue Pierre-Dupuy. A pre-booked Elly8.net chauffeur drops you at the official drop-off point that serves your gate and waits for the evening, at a fixed, all-in price: Montreal-Trudeau (YUL) to downtown from US$120 in a business sedan, and hourly from US$110.
Rides in Montreal are operated by licensed, commercially insured local chauffeur partners vetted through the Limousine Worldwide network; Elly8.net takes the booking, fixes the price and runs the 24/7 desk. This page sets out the organiser's published access rules, the metro and river-shuttle alternatives, and how to plan a race weekend so the car is where you need it.
Where do taxis and private cars drop off for the Canadian Grand Prix?
The organiser sets three drop-off points for taxis and rideshare: the P8 lot at La Ronde, a walk from the Main Gate (1); the Grand Prix Hub at 1108 rue Marc-Cantin, with a shuttle to the Casino Gate (2); and 151 rue de l'Ecluse in Saint-Lambert, a walk from the Blue Zone Gate (3). Your chauffeur uses the point for your gate.
Those arrangements are published on the organiser's getting there page. The Saint-Lambert point is reserved for ticket holders in Grandstands 10, 11 and 12, CGV Terrasse, Privilege 12 Suite, Elite Club and Elite Suite. The organiser is equally clear about what is not allowed: no cabs, Ubers or vehicles without a parking pass are accepted on the Concorde Bridge or Avenue Pierre-Dupuy, the main road routes onto the island. The points may change for 2027, and the desk follows the organiser's latest guidance.
Guests in Loge Elite, Platforms 41A and 21A, the Paddock Club and VIP packages may hold a parking pass for the Casino, P22 or P50 lots, each with its own route onto the island. If your package includes one, give us the lot when you book and the chauffeur drives that route, with the pass displayed as the organiser requires.
The 2027 race weekend
The official Grand Prix du Canada site lists the 2027 event for 21, 22 and 23 May 2027, and the Formula 1 2027 calendar shows the Formula 1 AWS Grand Prix du Canada 2027 for 21 to 23 May. It is the busiest weekend of the year for Montreal car service. Hotels downtown, in Old Montreal and around the Golden Square Mile fill for the weekend, and restaurants book out.
The crowd mixes local fans, visitors from across Canada and the United States, team and sponsor guests and corporate hospitality groups. Some visitors make it a long weekend; others combine the race with meetings in the city or a few days in the Laurentians.
The plan for race weekend
Arrival at YUL. Your chauffeur tracks the flight and waits inside the arrivals hall with a name board after customs and baggage; see airport transfers and meet and greet. The fixed fare from YUL to downtown Montreal is US$120 in a business sedan, US$160 in a business SUV, US$195 in a First Class SUV, US$210 in a First Class Sedan and US$315 in an Executive Sprinter, and the round trip from US$230 to US$600. The drive is about 18 km (11 mi), around 23 minutes on a clear road. Private flights land at YUL's business aviation facilities; send the tail number and FBO and see private jet and FBO transfers.
Race days: hotel to your drop-off point. Book car service by the hour or a full day. The chauffeur collects you downtown, takes the bridge route to the drop-off point for your gate, and either waits or returns at an agreed time. For the Main Gate that means P8 at La Ronde and a walk; for the Casino Gate, the Grand Prix Hub on rue Marc-Cantin and the shuttle; for the Blue Zone grandstands, Saint-Lambert on the south shore.
The evening pickup. This is the part that needs a plan. When the crowd leaves the island, roads and mobile networks both jam. Agree a pickup time and point with the desk before you go in, and the chauffeur is there when you walk out, so you are not trying to reach anyone from a crowded footpath.
Evenings downtown. Grand Prix weekend nights fill Crescent Street, Old Montreal and the restaurants of the Plateau. The 5-hour evening out and event night package, from US$550 in a business sedan to US$1,100 in an Executive Sprinter, keeps one car with you for dinner and the night. The chauffeur follows Quebec rules on passengers and alcohol.
Groups and hospitality. An Executive Sprinter with driver moves a hospitality group to the same drop-off point together, with business SUVs for guests who leave at different times. See sports event transportation, group transportation and corporate car service.

Prices for the Canadian Grand Prix
Prices on the Montreal price list do not change for the Grand Prix. They are in US$, per vehicle, fixed and all-in, including the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet; tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost.
- By the hour, as directed (3-hour minimum): US$110 in a business sedan, US$140 in a business SUV, US$165 in a First Class SUV, US$180 in a First Class Sedan and US$220 in an Executive Sprinter.
- Evening out and event night (5 hours): US$550 in a business sedan, US$700 in a business SUV, US$900 in a First Class Sedan and US$1,100 in a Sprinter.
- Full-day chauffeur (8 hours): from US$810 in a business sedan to US$1,620 in a Sprinter, the usual race-day booking.
- Corporate roadshow day (10 hours): from US$990 in a business sedan to US$1,980 in a Sprinter.
- YUL to downtown: from US$120; round trip from US$230.
Every price is on the Montreal fares panel, and the fleet page shows what each class seats and carries. Grand Prix weekend books out early in Montreal, especially Sprinters and First Class cars, so reserve as soon as your tickets are confirmed.
Honest alternatives: the metro, the river shuttle and the airport bus
The metro. The organiser calls the metro the best way to reach the circuit, and for many visitors it is. Jean-Drapeau station on line 4 (Yellow), in fare zone A, is a short walk from the Main Gate. The organiser expects heavy traffic at the fare counters at Longueuil-Universite-de-Sherbrooke, Berri-UQAM and Jean-Drapeau, and recommends buying return fares in advance; it also notes that line 4 is not accessible to passengers with mobility limitations from Berri-UQAM. Details are on the STM website.
River shuttles. Shuttles run from Longueuil and the Old Port of Montreal to the Ile Sainte-Helene dock, a walk from the Main Gate, with reservations mandatory. A pleasant way in for light travellers.
Taxis and rideshare. Taxis and app rides use the same three drop-off points as a chauffeured car. The difference is the evening return, when everyone leaves the island at once and app prices move with demand.
From the airport. The STM 747 bus runs 24 hours a day between YUL and downtown, and its C$11.25 fare works as a 24-hour pass on the bus and metro network, so a solo traveller can ride to the hotel and then to Jean-Drapeau on one ticket. Airport taxis to downtown charge a regulated fixed fare, published by the airport at C$49.45 by day and C$56.70 overnight. Both are good value for one person.
A chauffeur wins for groups, families, hospitality guests, anyone with limited mobility, and evenings that continue downtown. See chauffeur vs taxi and Uber Black vs a pre-booked chauffeur.
Before or after the race
The signature Montreal day trip is Mont-Tremblant in the Laurentians, a 10-hour package from US$1,015 in a business sedan to US$2,025 in an Executive Sprinter; our Mont-Tremblant car service covers longer stays. The same fixed-price service runs as an Ottawa car service, Quebec City car service, Kingston car service and Boston car service, with longer drives through city to city car service.

Frequently asked questions
When is the 2027 Canadian Grand Prix?
The Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada 2027 runs from 21 to 23 May 2027 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Parc Jean-Drapeau, according to the organiser and the Formula 1 calendar. It is Montreal's busiest weekend for chauffeured cars, so book as soon as your tickets are confirmed.
Can a car drive me to the circuit gate?
No, unless your package includes a parking pass. The organiser does not accept cabs, Ubers or vehicles without a pass on the Concorde Bridge or Avenue Pierre-Dupuy. Cars use the official drop-off points: P8 at La Ronde, the Grand Prix Hub on rue Marc-Cantin, or Saint-Lambert for certain grandstands.
How much is a car service for the Grand Prix?
Most guests book by the hour from downtown: US$110 an hour in a business sedan, US$140 in a business SUV and US$220 in an Executive Sprinter, with a 3-hour minimum, or the 8-hour full day from US$810. Prices are per vehicle, fixed and all-in.
Which drop-off point should I use?
The one that serves your gate. P8 at La Ronde is a walk from the Main Gate (1); the Grand Prix Hub at 1108 rue Marc-Cantin has a shuttle to the Casino Gate (2); 151 rue de l'Ecluse in Saint-Lambert is a walk from the Blue Zone Gate (3), for Grandstands 10 to 12 and certain suites.
Is the metro faster than a car?
At peak times, often. Jean-Drapeau station on the Yellow line is a short walk from the Main Gate, and the organiser recommends it. A car suits groups, families, hospitality guests, anyone with limited mobility and evenings that continue downtown.
Will the chauffeur wait after the race?
Yes, on an hourly or full-day booking. Agree the pickup time and point before you go in, because phones and roads jam when the crowd leaves the island. Extra time beyond the booking is billed at the same hourly rate.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation more than 72 hours before pickup. At 72 hours or less a 10% fee applies, at 48 hours or less 50%, and at 24 hours or less or for a no-show 100%. Refunds go to the original card.
