The Distillery Winter Village 2026 runs from Thursday 12 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027 in Toronto's Distillery Historic District, 55 Mill Street, just east of Parliament Street and south of Front Street East. It is the market Torontonians used to call the Toronto Christmas Market, and the season opens with the tree lighting ceremony on Thursday 12 November at 6 p.m., a ticketed opening night that fills the cobblestone lanes.
Elly8.net books Distillery Winter Village transportation as a simple plan: a chauffeur who meets you at Toronto Pearson or Billy Bishop, a car that drops you at the market's main gate on Trinity Street, and the same car waiting when your visit is over. Toronto and the GTA run on the Elly8 fleet and chauffeurs, so the desk that takes your booking also dispatches the car. Prices are fixed and all-in, and they do not change in December.
What is the easiest way to get to the Distillery Winter Village?
Arrive by car at the rideshare and drop-off area on Trinity Street, north of Mill Street, in front of the main gates at 55 Mill Street, or take the 504A King streetcar to Distillery Loop. Parking is extremely limited, so a pre-booked chauffeur who drops you and waits nearby is the simplest choice for families, groups and evening visits.
The district is pedestrian-only, and the organiser says that with ongoing construction and development in the area, parking is extremely limited. Visitors are strongly encouraged to take transit or a ride service. That is the core of the transport problem: thousands of visitors on a Friday or Saturday evening, a handful of streets around Mill, Trinity, Cherry and Parliament, and almost nowhere to leave a car.
A chauffeur solves the two hard moments of the night: arriving on time for a ticketed entry window, and leaving at 9 or 10 p.m., when app rides stack up on Trinity Street. With an hourly booking or an evening package, your chauffeur is staged nearby and comes to an agreed pickup point when you message.

Dates, tickets and entry times for 2026
The ticket rules shape when you should book a car. According to the Distillery Winter Village FAQ and ticketing pages, tickets are required on opening night, from 4 p.m. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 4 p.m. every Thursday in December, and from 4 p.m. daily from 14 to 31 December. Admission is free all day Monday to Wednesday through 13 December and at other non-ticketed times, and on ticketed days you must be inside the gates before 4 p.m. to enter free.
| Item | What the organiser publishes | What it means for your car |
|---|---|---|
| Season | 12 November 2026 to 3 January 2027 | Book early for December weekends |
| Opening night | Tree lighting Thursday 12 November, 6 p.m., ticketed | Heaviest arrival of the season; arrive well before 6 p.m. |
| Ticketed evenings | From 4 p.m. Friday to Sunday, Thursdays in December, daily 14 to 31 December | Time the drop-off to your entry window |
| General Admission | C$16 plus service fee and HST, C$19.89 total | Online only, no box office |
| Flex and Express | C$22.37 and C$37.29 total | Express skips the line at all gates |
| Christmas Day | Closed | No market pickups on 25 December |
Kids aged 9 and under enter free, tickets are sold online only, and there is no on-site box office, according to the ticketing page. There are no in and out privileges, so sort out coats and strollers before you leave the car. New Year's Eve at the Distillery District is a separate ticketed evening from 7 p.m. to midnight, which makes 31 December one of the busiest nights for pickups at the east end of downtown.
With a restaurant reservation or theatre ticket in the district during ticketed hours, the organiser says you need no market ticket, only proof of the reservation for security. Tell the desk the time and we schedule the drop-off 15 to 20 minutes ahead.
Where your chauffeur drops you and picks you up
Drop-off. The organiser's getting here page puts the rideshare drop-off area on Trinity Street, north of Mill Street, in front of the main entrance gates at 55 Mill Street. That is where your chauffeur brings you. The main gate at 55 Mill Street is also the designated accessible entrance, and Wheel-Trans vehicles drop off and pick up there, which matters if anyone in your party uses a wheelchair or a stroller.
Entrances. The market lists four entrances with live wait times on its website: Mill Street, Cherry Street, Parliament Street and the South Gate. If the Mill Street gate shows a long wait, tell the chauffeur and we choose the closest practical stop for another gate.
Pickup. At the end of the evening the chauffeur comes back to the Trinity Street area or another point agreed by text. On busy nights a car cannot wait at the gate itself, so the chauffeur holds a short distance away and arrives when you message.
Groups and coaches. School and coach buses drop groups on Trinity Street, just south of Front Street East, and then must move to one of the City of Toronto's designated bus parking areas; the organiser names Zone 4, Portlands, as the closest. An Executive Sprinter follows the same pattern for a large party. See group transportation and Sprinter van with driver.
Distances from the airports and hotel districts
The district sits at the eastern edge of downtown, so hotel runs are short but slow on market evenings.
| From | Road distance to 55 Mill St | Clear-road drive | Elly8.net price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | about 33 km (20 mi) | about 35 min, much longer at rush hour | YYZ to downtown from US$155 sedan to US$405 Sprinter |
| Billy Bishop (YTZ), mainland side | about 5 km (3 mi) | about 10 min | YTZ to downtown from US$95 sedan to US$250 Sprinter |
| Financial District, King and Bay | about 2.6 km (1.6 mi) | about 5 min, often 15 to 20 min on a market Saturday | Hourly from US$110, or the evening package |
| Bloor-Yorkville | about 5 km (3 mi) | about 10 min | Hourly from US$110, or the evening package |
Distances are road distances on our routing; airport prices are the published fares to downtown Toronto. If you want the airport car to take you straight to the Distillery District before the hotel, use the web booker for that address pair.
Arriving in Toronto for the market
Toronto Pearson (YYZ). Most visitors fly into Pearson, about 31 km (19 mi) from downtown and about 31 minutes on a clear road, with weekday peaks of 45 to 70 minutes. Your chauffeur tracks the flight and meets you inside the arrivals hall of Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 with a name board, with complimentary waiting after a tracked landing. A YYZ transfer to downtown costs from US$155 in a business sedan, US$205 in a business SUV and US$250 to US$275 in a first class SUV or sedan, up to US$405 in an Executive Sprinter. More on pickups is on airport transfers and airport meet and greet.
Billy Bishop (YTZ). Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport on the Toronto Islands is only a few minutes from the Distillery District. The chauffeur meets you on the mainland side at Eireann Quay, where the ferry and the pedestrian tunnel arrive. A YTZ transfer to downtown costs from US$95 in a business sedan to US$250 in an Executive Sprinter.
Union Station. The UP Express links Pearson with Union Station, with an adult single fare of C$12.35. From Union the organiser suggests the TTC or a walk of about 25 minutes along Front Street or the Esplanade. We also run train station transfers from Union for VIA Rail arrivals.
The evening plan: one car for the whole visit
The pattern that works for most visitors is one car and one chauffeur for the evening.
Before 4 p.m. On ticketed days, the free window ends at 4 p.m. and the organiser warns of line-ups from 3 p.m. onward. If you want free entry, book the drop-off for about 2:45 p.m. and allow for traffic on Front Street East.
The entry window. For a ticketed visit, aim to arrive in the first part of your window. The chauffeur drops you on Trinity Street, then holds nearby.
Dinner and the drive home. The car takes you on to dinner, in the district or in King West, and back to the hotel. The chauffeur follows Ontario's rules on alcohol, so nobody drinks in the vehicle, and nobody in your party has to drive.
The evening out and event night package is the simplest way to book this: five hours with one car and chauffeur, from US$550 in a business sedan, US$700 in a business SUV and US$825 to US$900 in a first class SUV or sedan, to US$1,100 in an Executive Sprinter. For a shorter visit, hourly chauffeur service costs from US$110 per hour in a business sedan to US$220 in an Executive Sprinter, with a three-hour minimum. Tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are billed at cost.
Families, visitors and the rest of the holiday week
The private city highlights tour, four hours from US$440 in a business sedan to US$880 in an Executive Sprinter, covers the waterfront, Old Town, Yorkville and Casa Loma, and can finish at the Distillery District at dusk when the lights come on; see private city tours. Child seats are available on request; tell us each child's age and weight when you book.
If you stay a few days, the full-day chauffeur (8 hours) costs from US$810 in a business sedan to US$1,620 in an Executive Sprinter, and the signature Niagara Falls day trip (10 hours) costs from US$1,015 in a business sedan and US$1,290 in a business SUV to US$2,025 in an Executive Sprinter. See Niagara Falls car service for an overnight stay. Visitors coming in from the west can book from Mississauga, Hamilton or Kitchener-Waterloo, and cross-border guests can start in Buffalo.
Corporate holiday outings and client evenings
The organiser runs its own corporate and group bookings for entry; transport is the other half. For a team, book one or more Executive Sprinters for the group runs, at US$220 per hour or as the five-hour evening package at US$1,100 per vehicle, and a sedan or SUV for the host who leaves early. The desk coordinates every vehicle under one reference. Companies that book often can open a corporate account with monthly invoicing, and event planners can book for clients through travel agent accounts. See corporate car service and event transportation.
Honest alternatives: streetcar, bus, walking or rideshare
There is no single right answer for the market, and the transit options are good.
| Option | Cost | Best for | Weak point |
|---|---|---|---|
| TTC 504A King streetcar to Distillery Loop | TTC fare | Solo visitors and couples staying on King Street | Crowded on market evenings |
| TTC 121 Esplanade-River bus to Mill and Trinity | TTC fare | Visitors near Union and Front Street | Extra service only on Fridays 4 p.m. to midnight and weekends 11 a.m. to midnight |
| Rideshare to the Trinity Street drop-off | Price varies with demand | A one-off ride off-peak | Pickups surge when the market empties at 9 or 10 p.m. |
| Official shuttle by Gray Line | Fees set by the operator | Visitors near its three pickup points | Schedules still to be confirmed by the organiser |
| Elly8.net evening package | From US$550 per vehicle, five hours | Families, groups, client evenings, fixed budget | Must be booked in advance; December weekends fill early |
The routes above come from the organiser's getting here page, which also lists the 65 Parliament bus from Castle Frank Station and the 72A Pape bus to Parliament and Front; check the TTC before you travel. For one or two people downtown with nothing to carry, the streetcar is the sensible choice. A pre-booked car makes sense for families with a stroller, groups of four or more, client outings, dinner afterwards, or a night of snow. For the general reasoning, read chauffeur vs Uber and Lyft and chauffeur vs taxi.
How booking works
- Enter the pickup and drop-off, with your flight number for airport legs, or 55 Mill Street for the market.
- Choose the vehicle: business sedan, business SUV, first class sedan or SUV, or Executive Sprinter. The fleet page shows seats and luggage space.
- Press Reserve now on the Toronto price list, or use the web booker for any address not on the list. Confirmation arrives by email, and the chauffeur's details follow before pickup.
Prices include the chauffeur, vehicle, taxes, standard gratuity and airport meet and greet. The price list does not change for the market season, but availability does: December Fridays and Saturdays and New Year's Eve book out early, so reserve as soon as you have your entry tickets. Cancellation is free more than 72 hours before pickup, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show, refunded to the original card.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a car to the Distillery Winter Village?
From a downtown hotel, the simplest booking is the five-hour evening package, from US$550 in a business sedan to US$1,100 in an Executive Sprinter, or an hourly car from US$110 per hour with a three-hour minimum. From the airport, Pearson to downtown starts at US$155 and Billy Bishop at US$95. Prices are fixed and all-in; parking and tolls are billed at cost.
Where does the car drop me off at the market?
On Trinity Street, north of Mill Street, in front of the main entrance gates at 55 Mill Street, which is where the organiser puts the rideshare drop-off area. The main gate is also the accessible entrance. If another gate has a shorter line on the live wait times, tell the chauffeur and we use the nearest practical stop.
Is there parking at the Distillery District?
Very little. The organiser says parking is extremely limited because of construction and development in the area, and asks visitors to use transit or a ride service. With a chauffeur you need no space: the car drops you and returns when you message.
Do I need a ticket if I arrive by car?
The car does not change the ticket rules. Tickets are required on opening night, from 4 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 4 p.m. on Thursdays in December and from 4 p.m. daily from 14 to 31 December. Entry is free at other times. Buy tickets online in advance; there is no box office at the gate.
Can you bring child seats for a family visit?
Yes, child seats are available on request. Give us each child's age and weight when you book. With a stroller and shopping bags, a business SUV or an Executive Sprinter has far more room than a sedan, and the price is per vehicle.
Can you move a company group to the market?
Yes. Executive Sprinters keep a team together, and several vehicles can be booked under one reference with fixed office pickup and return times. Corporate accounts get monthly invoicing, and NDAs are available on request.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 72 hours before pickup and it is free. At 72 hours or less the fee is 10%, at 48 hours or less 50%, and at 24 hours or less or a no-show 100%. Refunds go back to the original card. If your entry window changes, contact the 24/7 desk and we move the pickup.
