Ask for a "Fort Worth airport car service" and the first question back is: which airport? Most airline passengers fly through Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW), which sits between the two cities. Corporate jets and charters often use Fort Worth Meacham International Airport, a few miles north of downtown. And some travellers book through Dallas Love Field because of a flight time or a fare. Each has its own pickup routine.
Elly8.net books chauffeured cars for all three. The fixed fare from DFW to downtown Fort Worth is US$220 in a business sedan, US$290 in a business SUV and US$575 in an Executive Sprinter, per vehicle, all-in; Meacham, Love Field and every other address are priced instantly in the web booker and fixed when you reserve. Here is how pickups, waiting and pricing work at each.
Which airport should a Fort Worth trip use?
Airline passengers almost always use DFW, about 24 miles (39 km) and 33 minutes on a clear road from downtown Fort Worth, with a fixed Elly8.net fare from US$220. Private and charter flights often use Meacham International, about five miles north of downtown. Dallas Love Field is the other commercial option, quoted in the web booker.
The airport choice changes three things about the car: where the chauffeur stands, how long the drive is, and whether the fare is on the published list. The rest, a fixed per-vehicle price, a tracked arrival and a chauffeur who waits, stays the same.
| Airport | Who uses it | Where the chauffeur meets you | Drive to downtown Fort Worth | Elly8.net fare |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DFW International | Airline passengers, domestic and international | Inside arrivals with a name board, or after Customs | about 24 mi (39 km), about 33 min clear road | fixed, from US$220 business sedan |
| Fort Worth Meacham International | Corporate, charter and private flights | At the FBO, by arrangement with the FBO | about 5 mi north of downtown | quoted in the web booker, then fixed |
| Dallas Love Field | Airline passengers | At arrivals, by arrangement | across the Metroplex | quoted in the web booker, then fixed |

DFW: how the pickup works
DFW has five passenger terminals, A to E, linked airside by Skylink. The pickup is built around your flight number. The chauffeur tracks the aircraft, adjusts to the actual landing and meets you inside arrivals at your terminal with a name board, then walks you to the car. After an international arrival, the meeting point is the arrivals exit once you have cleared Customs. The full routine is on our meet and greet page.
Everyone else heads outside. The DFW ground transportation guide puts taxis on the lower level of every terminal, with a guest assistant at the stand from 8 a.m. to midnight, and app-based rideshare at the upper level curbside. After midnight, the airport lists a phone number to request a taxi. For a step-by-step version of the DFW arrival, including the drive west and the TEXRail alternative, see our DFW to Fort Worth car service walkthrough.
Meacham International: private and charter flights
The City of Fort Worth describes Meacham International Airport (FTW) as a corporate and general aviation airport about five miles north of historic downtown, with a 24-hour FAA control tower and US Customs services for international general aviation flights. It lists two fixed base operators (FBOs), Modern Aviation and Texas Jet, along with several charter companies. There is no scheduled airline service; this is the airport for corporate jets, charters and private owners.
A car service at an FBO works differently from a terminal pickup. There is no arrivals hall and no name board in a crowd. Instead:
- Book with the FBO name and the tail number or charter reference, plus the planned arrival time. Flight times on private aircraft change often, so give the desk the contact for your flight department or charter operator.
- The chauffeur waits at the FBO at the agreed time. Ramp access, where it is allowed at all, is controlled by the FBO and the airport, so the exact meeting point is set with the FBO in advance.
- International private arrivals clear Customs before the car can leave, so the waiting plan should allow for that.
Our private jet and FBO car service page explains how these pickups are coordinated. For a team stepping off a jet with luggage, an Executive Sprinter or a Jet Sprinter with captain's chairs and a VIP cabin is often the right vehicle; the fleet page compares them.
Love Field and other options
Dallas Love Field is Dallas's second commercial airport, and some Fort Worth travellers use it for a particular flight. The drive to Fort Worth crosses the Metroplex, so it is longer than the DFW run and more exposed to Dallas traffic. Enter Love Field as the pickup in the web booker for an instant fixed quote. The Dallas car service page lists the Love Field and DFW fares into Dallas itself.
Wait times: what is included and what is not
Waiting is where airport car services differ most, so here is exactly how Elly8.net handles it.
At DFW and Love Field. The chauffeur tracks the flight, so the clock starts from the actual landing, not the scheduled one. Complimentary waiting after a tracked landing is included in the fixed fare. That covers the normal walk to baggage claim, a slow belt and a reasonable Customs line.
At Meacham. The pickup is set to the arrival time you give. If the flight moves, tell the desk or have the flight department tell the desk, and the pickup moves with it.
Beyond the included time. Waiting beyond the included time is billed at cost, as are tolls and parking. If a long delay looks likely, such as a missed connection, call the 24/7 desk; it is often simpler to rebook the pickup to the new flight.
For whole days. If you are landing and heading straight into meetings, book by the hour instead of a transfer. A car service by the hour starts at US$95 an hour in a business sedan with a 3-hour minimum, and the Corporate roadshow day, 10 hours, is US$855 in a business sedan and US$1,710 in an Executive Sprinter.
Flat rates vs metered fares
A flat rate means the price is agreed before the trip and does not move with traffic, time or detours you did not ask for. A metered fare is calculated at the end. Taxis at DFW run on the meter, and the airport does not list a flat taxi fare to Fort Worth on its ground transportation page. App rides show a price before you book, but that price changes with demand, and it can climb sharply after a big event or during a storm.
Elly8.net fares are flat and all-in: the chauffeur, the vehicle, taxes, a standard gratuity and meet and greet are included, and only tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are added at cost. They are also per vehicle, never per person.
| DFW to downtown Fort Worth | One way | Round trip | Seats | Bags |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Business sedan | US$220 | US$420 | up to 3 | 2 |
| Business SUV | US$290 | US$555 | up to 6 | 6 |
| First Class SUV | US$355 | US$675 | up to 6 | 6 |
| First Class sedan | US$385 | US$735 | up to 3 | 2 |
| Executive Sprinter | US$575 | US$1,095 | up to 12 | 12 |
The same fares apply for a Fort Worth car service to DFW, so the departure leg costs exactly the same as the arrival. If you are price-checking against a cab or app instead, our Fort Worth taxi or rideshare guide sets out when those are the better choice.
Departures: when to leave Fort Worth for the airport
For DFW, the 24-mile drive is about 33 minutes on a clear road, but plan around the evening peak and any event traffic. Tell the desk your flight time and whether you are checking bags, and the pickup is set with margin for the drive and the airport. For an early-morning flight, the car is booked for the minute you choose.
For Meacham, the drive from downtown is short, but the FBO, your crew and any passengers joining from elsewhere set the timing. Many corporate trips combine a pickup at a downtown hotel, a client stop and the FBO; book that as an hourly car so the same chauffeur handles every leg.
Busy weeks in Fort Worth
A few periods put pressure on every kind of ride. The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo fills hotels and the Will Rogers grounds for weeks each winter, concerts and events at Dickies Arena bring evening crowds to the Cultural District, and race weekends at Texas Motor Speedway load the highways north of the city. Visit Fort Worth publishes the city's event calendar. In those weeks, book the airport car when you book the flight.
Corporate travel and accounts
Companies flying executives, clients or crews into Fort Worth can open a corporate account for monthly invoicing, saved traveller profiles and booking by assistants, with NDAs on request. Multi-stop meeting days are covered under roadshow chauffeur and day-to-day travel under corporate car service. Groups heading out after the meetings can see our Fort Worth party bus guide.

Frequently asked questions
What is the main airport for Fort Worth?
Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW) is the main airline airport for Fort Worth, about 24 miles (39 km) from downtown. A fixed Elly8.net business sedan from DFW to downtown Fort Worth is US$220 per vehicle. Meacham International north of downtown serves corporate, charter and private flights rather than airlines.
Can a car meet a private jet at Meacham?
Yes. Book with the FBO name, the tail number or charter reference and the arrival time, and the chauffeur waits at the FBO. Meacham has two FBOs listed by the city, Modern Aviation and Texas Jet. Meeting points and any ramp access are arranged with the FBO.
How long will the chauffeur wait at DFW?
The chauffeur tracks your flight and the waiting starts from the actual landing. Complimentary waiting after a tracked landing is included, covering baggage claim and a normal Customs line. Waiting beyond the included time is billed at cost; call the 24/7 desk if a long delay or a missed connection is likely.
Is the price fixed even if traffic is bad?
Yes. The fare is flat and agreed when you reserve, so traffic, construction and event days do not change it. Only tolls, parking and waiting beyond the included time are added at cost. The same fixed price applies for the return trip from Fort Worth to DFW.
Do you offer car service from Fort Worth to Love Field?
Yes. Enter the Fort Worth address and Dallas Love Field in the web booker for an instant fixed quote in any vehicle class. The drive crosses the Metroplex and is longer than the DFW run, so allow extra time at peak hours.
Can one car handle the airport and a day of meetings?
Yes. Book by the hour from US$95 in a business sedan (3-hour minimum), or the Corporate roadshow day from US$855 for 10 hours. The same chauffeur collects you at the airport, waits between meetings and takes you back for your departure.
